[Aug 6][FONT][CWM] Original JellyBean Font *Edited & Matched Regular/Bold* - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

ORIGINAL JELLYBEAN FONT MODDED FOR REGULAR/BOLD
Update Aug 6 - Taking user requests for custom fonts !
* Added Version 4 - Copy of Ver2 but Bold is more Bolder
I have edited the original JellyBean font file to include the same font as Bold instead of the Roboto. It makes the interface very clean and consistent across all apps.
There are 3 versions of the font pack (see attached screenshot). I personally prefer v2.
1. Regular weight font has been thickened 15%
2. The same regular font has been used to create the Bold font hence the consistency !
Just flash away and enjoy ! If this helped you, dont forget to Thanks :good:

I took your suggestion and flashed v2. Looks great!

Would be great if there was a apk...so I can deinstall if don't like it.

I am not going to create an apk just to install fonts
You can extract the fonts from this zip and use any font changer (which works with ICS) to change/restore as you please.
On another thought, if you just want to be able to restore. Extract all fonts from /system/fonts and then create a copy of my zip. Using any zip program (preferably WinRAR), just drag your existing fonts into the fonts directory of the zip and rename to Restore, etc. Voila .. you 2 zips now .. one with Jelly Bean font and one to restore back ... You can mix match as you please, of course. Hope it helps.

looks and works perfect thanx

Thanks!

I am taking user requests for custom fonts now ...
If you need to have matching regular and bold fonts like I did for Jellybean one , please reply and attach the "Regular" font for which you would like custom editing... you can specify mod requests like thinning and thickening, etc. also ...
Turnaround usually would be an hour or so during Singapore daytime!

basically I like your moded regular Jelly bean font ( by 15% thicker) but the bold font looks less "bold" than it used to be
So I requesting u to re-edit your version 2 pack, please edit the bold font to make it looks more thicker! ( I think +30% is Ok). that's all my request..
thank you ( and sorry for my poor English )

thank you for your quick reply in version 4! of course it's better and pretty close to my wish thank You.
next when you have a free time to make a version 5, please make the bold font very thick (maybe by adding 60% thickness). The regular font is ok with current v2

Sure ... Will work on it tomorrow

This is really awesome thank you. I am currently using Avenir font on my G1.

Custom Themes

Hi all! Since I've got more then 100 downloads in the first 2 themes I've decided to launch the 3rd one with a thread
These themes are made for ICS dock tho they can be used on other bases, and they are a product of some research of themes available on other places (except theme 2 my creation) with a lot of tweaks and adds made by me so they feel more complete. Except theme 1 all others were made from scratch, taking some hours in front of pc
They need a bit of work to set them up but i think its not much for the result. All the step by step tutorials are in the zip files, as most of the things you need.
For those that don't have photoshop i uploaded the PNG files of the themes (only problem is you can't change wallpapers, icons, text, anything). Still you will be able to have the theme
I'm not an expert and I don't present myself as one, I just love these themes and decided to share them with you guys and hope you all enjoy them.
These themes are not to FLASH or to use with cm9 theme chooser!! Please read the guide

Photoshop is for you to set up the PNG files as you wish. You can click on the right to add things or change things if you want. You can put your wallpapers for example or change icons. If not just build them by clicking on the right till you have the setup done like Home for example. Then save it as png file
cheers

Yeah.. Thanks..
just one question
can you upload a "clean" version of Theme 3 wallpapers? (say.. Light1,2)
I want to manage the icons myself. change XDA to something else etc.
if you can upload a version without icons, that'll be great.
Thanks.
See that would be a problem for you. Since this themes depend on hidding icons, in some cases the icon doesn't get a perfect match with the screen, so it wouldn't look good. If its only 1 icon pm me and maybe i can help you.
Cheers

Any tutorial or can you simply tell which files in SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk you have changed so I can keep my theme and have this mod?

I'm not expert but I had played around with the multitask when I'm using Nexus S.
I learnt something from the tutorial by evilisto's, the WP7 style/stock browser tab/chrome browser tab multitask
In order to get better preview image, something should be modified in the framework-res.apk
I made my own version too
Actually I'm just too lazy to look into your zip so I ask you the exact files you edited and it saves my time
Anyway, thanks

What I mean is the quality of app preview image, the version you made can be improved, only two values need to be modified in framework-res.apk
The version I made is for Nexus S and I just got my Galaxy Nexus few days ago, may work on it and share when it's done
In my opinion l, to personalize anything in Android, the first priority is to make it more convenient, in this case, the multitask
* Maximize the number of app previews in the screen for fast switching with less chance to slide and search
* Maximize the size of app previews and we can distinguish them with ease
* The above two points oppose to each other so there is balanced point
By following this policy, it's better design a theme to match the best layout instead of modifying the layout to match the theme

Using comicbookcommando. I kinda like it!
Thank you very much i love this fonts
i got a little tip that might be of some use to some people depending on what font you use ...
ok by selecting the font you want in display settings , the font does not overwrite every app . so you have some parts for eg sonysketch and some parts app default ...
ok for eg again i use sonysketch selected from fonts in display ... but depanding on what font you have download jrummy toolbox lite go to fonts and see if the font u chose in display is in jrummy toolbox . if it is select it and install .it will overwrite even the font in apps so you have no part sonysketch and part default
heres how mine works sonysketch from display option only some apps and the ui
and
sonysketch from display options and sonysketch from jrummy all apps and ui has now changed font
it may seem a mission and will only work if jrummy toolbox has the font you have , but having a full font throughout the phone looks a lot better than some of your chosen font mixed up with your default font
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DIxMiwiY29tLmpydW1teS5saWJlcnR5LnRvb2xib3giXQ..

Thanks for the fonts collection. Currently using Opificio and I love it. Still got many fonts to experiment.

I noticed that when I change the font, the battery percentage displayed on the notification bar get out of place after a while. Need to restart device to get it back in correct places. Anyone else experience this?

Inverted Mondaine DeskClock

I made a much larger themed clock thread back in the Galaxy Nexus forums, I don't plan on making nearly as many this time around, but if there are any styles there that catch anyone's eye, post here and I'll see what I can do for you The Mondaine styles were by far the most popular and also my personal favorite, so I decided to make those again for the larger screen size.
This flashable ZIP will replace your stock DeskClock apk with the themed version seen in the screenshots. It's a very clean, classic style that I think looks great on any device (Apple agrees, they aped this style for the iPad clock a while ago). I've owned a Mondaine watch for years now and it's no doubt my favorite (see comparison shot below).
1. Download one of the ZIP's above.
2. Flash in recovery.
3. Enjoy your new clock.
I've only tested it on deodexed ROM's, but it might work on odexed if you delete the DeskClockGoogle.odex file after flashing. The app could FC or you might have some wonky behavior, but if you flash on odexed ROM's and it works, please share.
Make sure you have a backup version of the DeskClock apk either in the ROM you're using or by saving the version on your device.
Bump, added new inverted Mondaine style.
Might add a few more themed widget styles if people are interested.

I think we're always interested in new theme's/widgets Keep em coming... I personally don't like analog clock unless it's on my wrist, but nothing against your mod, it looks really really well done. :good:
Thanks, I'm actually the same way mostly. I don't use the analog homescreen widget myself anymore, but I keep the themed in-app clock to match my wrist.
Anyone is welcome to request any of the many styles I made in my Galaxy Nexus thread, I'll start re-creating some of the more popular ones from that thread over here. None of them are nearly as complicated as the Mondaines, just different colors/backgrounds, etc.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if I had used a device-specific binary or not The APK should be more or less universal, it has all the same images from other (lesser) display types.
Your flashable zip work also on nex7 2012. Apk is the same in all android devices in this way i mod the phasebeam apk. Take a look:
