Looks good! Scant on details, though.
Where'd you get it? How firmly does it clip to the phone? Do you notice any signal attenuation or worse reception through the case? And have you tested NFC with it?

By the way it fits exactly like the orginal battery cover

NFC is near field communication. It's how google wallet works, along with the sbeam and things like that.

I ordered them here:

You know we have a thread about it?

Dutchie ghehe
NFC ain't working, signal drops with 1/2 bars and Wi-fi is less strong connected.
It fits very good, very snug because of the aluminium it is harder to remove.

Be Aware of Aleminum back covers! Do Not use

Just orderd 2 kinds of alu covers for my Note.. and they are much cool looking + much better to hold the phone with..
But since i did use them i notesed a Bad decrece of both wifi and call signal ...
SO i did some testing with both my new alu covers (Slim alu covers).. and my oem samsung back cover.. and guess what that damn alu cover Kills my connection Really bad..
This is one of the alu covers i bought
http://www.ebay.com/itm/110829426900?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I had about 101-107 dbm with the alu covers.. and about 5 asu..
and with original samsung backcover i have 87 - 95 dbm 9-13 asu ..
So my advise, be carefull to not use any covers you find out there..
Excuse my speeling
I ordered 2 covers and i came to know that i cannot use those its worst i love that look of cover

well. I cannot replicate what you are saying. can you please provide more info on how you measured ?
I have the same signal in the same spot using original back and the aluminum one....
They also kill bluetooth.

Hmm!
I tested it with 2 Galaxy Notes.. One Stock unrooted ICS..and One Rooted ICS.
Several Locations at home..
Tested both 3G Signal and Wifi..didnt test bluetooth...
And without any dought it was affecting both wifi and 3g network in a bad way!
Both wifi and 3g signal was affected.. did several wifi tests.. but since i have a strong router with 3 antennas it didnt affect the wifi as much as it did 3g!
Its a pitty cause i really loved this alu cover
thanks for the heads up. i'm looking for a replacement cover myself.
I did a 3 3g speed tests with the aluminium cover and my speed was almost the same once, the other 2 times it was faster 4250kbs.... go figure wifi test with aluminium 8963 kbs, with plastic 4189, but each speedtest varied and was never really the same

Try to go further from your router..
At a "regular" home distance, it dosent affect wifi much! but if you do go further from the router you will see the diffrnce.. (Not That Big) in wifi..but still less signal and speed..
But in the 3G Section (Im talking about Streanght) in DBA is Much worse.... i didnt try 3g speed for downloading and etc.. i did a speed measre with Wifi only.. and a signal measure with 3g net only..
I have a cover on my Note with plastic sides and aluminum back and it doesn't affect signal strenght. Just saying if someone was considering buying one these. A full aluminum phone cover would probably eat up the signal though.
Meh, i was planning on getting one of these

Yup. They had to stop advertising GPS capability pretty soon, then offered an additional external GPS dongle,
and - thankfully, because I bought one - reworked the design for subsequent Infinity (rear not fully metal design, plastic margin for

Aluminum Bumper anyone tried it yet?

I am looking for a case for my ONE and I saw this. Did anyone buy it yet and how does it feel? Does it scratch the phone putting on and off? Is it quality or ****? Thanks.

It looks to be pretty new so it will probably take a week or two before you see anyone receive their order. I order one a couple days ago.
Sent from my HTC One
I would t think it would NOT effect any antennas...the phone is aluminum alloy anyway...from my prior readings that's why they have the rubberish lines on the back of the phone...for antenna use.
But these look pretty cool. If order one if someone said they were decent enough.
Edit::I ordered one... Should have it by the end of the month...I'll post pics and opinion at that time.

aluminum bumper
im using this metal bumper right now. it does affect the signal because i compared the speed test results with and without the aluminum case but its not that much. i still get around 35mpbs on LTE signal. no GPS issues either.
i bought the one from that link also. i like it but it doesnt protect the back of the phone.
here's mine. with 3M Dinoc in the back

Got this case in all silver and all black. Both look very girly with the studs on the side. It's a nice case, but it was way too flashy.

Does it affects the phone signal ?
2 things:
1) Phone signal. Both CF and AL are NOT RF transparent.
2) IR blaster. It's covered.
That is all.
Dam, i thought it might but i really liked the look of it can u up a pic or 2?

This in theory. I don't have the case. All I'm saying is, unless the people who designed this case are absolute genii, this case is either a) going to have signal issues or b) be made out of materials other than just CF and AL.
Just recieved mine today, the red with black back, im not keen as it makes the phone look quite big, reception wise i didnt keep it on long enough to fully tell, but it did knock a bar off my reception, also ir/power button is metal so ir blaster will not work with case on.

good thing you didn't buy it, it looks amazing the bad things are,
its incredibly bulky and very bad reception
i usually had 1-2 bars at home not good reception but something.
NOW i have completely no reception. I'm not using this case. it is completely horrible for me.
I even researched online where the antenna of the phone is and the whole back is an antenna, but because of the case all the antennas are touching each other.
Like this phone has the same issue as the iphone 4 (bad grip) signal issue. not complaining i love the phone more then any other phone out there. just with it had better reception or i had better reception at home

The back cover look too shiny for me, but look forward to seeing your review on metal bumper.
I had some ebay bucks so I grabbed one I will post some pics when i get it and post a review.
DO NOT BUY THIS CASE! I just got mine and it just feels cheap, the "carbon fiber" backing is not good, but I would say the worst part is the chrome sides, if they just left it all one color and didn't have the "bling" studs on the case it would be much better. Also doesn't help as soon as I out it on just for kick my reception tanked. Stay far away, I'm glad I just spend some spare eBay bucks on it and not any money.
Thanks for that I was just about to buy one as well.
In addition to the signal issue and the IR blaster being covered, there may be a third problem -- the noise-cancellation microphone hole on the right upper corner of the back is covered by the case. This will very likely affect the clarity of voice, as the noise cancellation mechanism is impaired.

EK For HTC ONE M7 Aluminum Metal Bumper Case Frame Luxury 0.6mm Metal Ultra Thin Slim

Just got this a couple days ago. It's great but don't know yet how well it holds up. I think it may be messing with my reception but I still need to test it out some more.

The price is great...although I'm curious how much it affects signal. If it's only a few dBm I'd probably buy one.

Would've been better if the tests were done on radio, not wi-fi.

Any updated opinions? Does the charging connector fit into the phone okay with it on?
By the way, is yours the grey color?

Metal bumber for GS3

I bought a metal bumper off ebay for my Galaxy S3, it consists of a front and a back that screw together, I really like this because it lets the phone breath while still protecting the edges from drops and being metal it's not going to wear out, another nice feature is with these tiny allen keys a thief wont be able to get into your phone quickly and remove the battery/sim/sd card so you might just get a little longer to find your phone :good:

They are nice cases, but I got rid of mine because I had issues with reception when using the case. If you have a strong signal, the case did not seem to affect the reception. However, in my house (my kitchen, specifically) I do not have a very strong signal at all. As a result, I was getting very crappy reception with the phone, especially if I was talking and walked into the kitchen. When I removed the case, the issue went away.
I only had this issue in my house. Just about everywhere else locally, the Verizon signal is pretty good, so no apparent effect of the case.
I wish I had a stronger signal in my house, as I really like the aluminum bumper case...

Modem fixed now, signal seems to be fine despite the metal bumper :good:
