Does this ROM take a lot of work to get set up? With dpi settings and what not. Had troubles with the ics version.

Those screenies are from an actual NS4G?! Status bar at the bottom and font/button sizes look like a N7. Looks really cool, especially the menus.

Thread cleaned.
I don't care who made the first port, or why, XDA is about development and sharing not fame or anything else.
If you have nothing helpful or constructive to add to the discussion, keep it to yourself.

No the OP will get some actual Nexus S 4G screenshots to post up! Those screenshots are from the HTC EVO4G but should look exactly the same as is the same ROM
@veyka.....Thanks for cleaning up the thread

The rom is great I love the way it runs and the bugs that we have so far don't effect me at all. The only trouble I have is with the tethering. I live less than a mile from a data tower so my signal is always maxed. When I connect to tethering my signal switches to 3G and my signal becomes cut. The bars go and stay gray and no signal whatsoever. I have tried this a few times and have wiped everything and still no luck. I am at work now and the exact same thing here. Not sure if I am alone on this one but I am going to wipe a few more times and reinstall and see if this helps at all. Other than this I like the work done here and appreciate it a lot. I will report back if I get any changes. Any suggestions that would be cool but I am sure your all working on this already. Thanks again

Been trying ALL JB ROMs here and have same issues tethering 4g. I only find 4g tethering works via BT using Foxfi app. I'm pretty sure its the only work around right now on all JB ROMs.
BTW: love me some Paranoid! This may be my new daily. Team DIRT did it again

I had a droid incredible before this and we got pa port, the entire screen settings were completely than the pa jelly bean we had before this one. I haven't flashed this yet so I'll let you know if I need any help.
Its just weird having only nav keys then soft keys. Anyway Lol, can't wait to flash this. Already downloaded and ready, just waiting for this download to finish.

Its fantastic as of now, the only thing I'm disappointed in is I wish there was a way to enable a menu button. I'd like to change the keys too but that's fine if I was able to use a menu button. Other than that rock solid rom, battery is great too.

Is it all mashed together so that you can't slide to pick an option? If so then it has to do with the inverted GApps. All you need to do is take a Phone.apk (just any normal non-inverted one) from another rom and place it in /system/app and that should fix the problem.

That makes me nervous about this rom working for me or not. Does it also show you as roaming? I had that problem with ICS where I could only use 3 or 4 different roms and the rest would show that I was roaming. Never could find out why and only a couple other people even had the problem. Luckily once Jelly Bean came along I haven't had any issues *knock on wood*

BIG THANKS TO MOLESARECOMING FOR ALLOWING ME TO PORT THIS TO THE NS4G
ORIGINAL THREAD FOUND HERE
PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT.
This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.

PER-APP-COLOR,
Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.
HOW TO INSTALL.
download rom
download gapps (skip if you have gapps)
place rom and gapps on root of sd
reboot into recovery
choose "install zip from sd"
choose paranoid-xxx-ns4g.zip and install
repeat for gapps
fix permissions
reboot
enjoy

Nothing exciting to list....
In your (hs133) or anyone else's opinion that has made the plunge, besides facebook and netflix working, how does this compare to iBot's MIUI ROM as far as tweaks, smoothness, stability, etc?
Edit: Also, do you plan on updating or porting this ROM with each weeks release?
Thanks for a new flavor of MIUI on our devices!
Downloading right now!
Any idea if LTE for canadian carries will work?

I have always prefered MiUi Us because of the Tool Box and what it offers with customization. The rom feels pretty smooth right now, but as far as iBot's MIUI. Well he is a pro and I'm still in diapers when it comes to MiUi stuff, but I love to learn new things. I will keep updating as much as possible and more frequently as my porting skills improve. I'm not sure how current I will go at the moment because I believe there are theme issues if I have been reading correctly.
Everything seems to work smooth.. I did check to see if i'm connected to LTE, and it still says hspa.. I know there's LTE where i live, its worked on other roms. Any idea if there's something i'm missing, or an option i can enable? I checked in the settings/network settings/preferred networks, and LTE isn't even an option
Just curious if porting from the i9300 version of miui.us would be easier than the Verizon version. Perhaps less issues with LTE (assuming there are any). Thanks for the work!

This ROM is compiled from the latest sources. It is a very snappy ROM; however it does not have as many theming options as ChameleonOS or PAC-man ROM. I have only had this phone for 6 days now, and this is now my second ROM for the device. LiquidSmooth has many features such as Performance Control and Pie Control, but still maintains the "lite" feel to it. If you like what you hear, flash the ROM and please hit the thanks button and perhaps consider donating to myself, Team-Hydra, or Team-Liquid if you really like it

GREAT job with this rom, theAPANT.
im actually using it to post this comment. I also really enjoy all the options included with it ;3
I think I found a bug. When in the camera mode, every time i tried switching to the FFC I'm getting an error about the gallery and the camera FC. Then launching the camera again I get another FC. Only by clearing the data of the gallery I get the camera working again. Anyone seen this issue?

OK thanks for finding this, I might know the fix.
Edit: it is a problem in libc as I expected, although it unfortunately might not be easy

I was listening to music for the past hour and that does not happen. Perhaps you were charging it while you were listening or something, but I doubt the problem is ROM related.
Edit: check your battery drain. If its really fast, for example streaming from Google play music, than that might be the reason its getting hot, although it won't matter if you have headphones in or not. Also maybe your pockets are warm. Sorry that's all the ideas I have.

boot animation
First off, THANK YOU for providing us tweakers with another option for our aging phones. Still getting artifacts with boot animation, reflection at top of screen. Again thank you for sharing with us.

That's not an artifact that's just a poorly made bootanimation. If I find a better one, I will include it.

thank you for your great work!
I know that it‘s very impolite to ask,but is it possible that you port the lidroid rom(the best cm10.1 rom i have seen)from i9000 to our glacier?
I have tried,but failed.

Probably not, I hate doing ports, I only like source builds. If they have sources for it than sure. Otherwise only if I suddenly find allot of extra time

Well damn dude you're totally welcome haha, I was sick and tired of the lack of ROM choices this forum had to offer, and I like me some paranoidandroid, so I decided to port something to get me back in the dev game (I haven't done any development work since like last November) and in just a few short hours this happened! I do have one bug to report on my end, instead of it saying "Sprint" for the carrier labels, it says "Roaming Indicator Off" its a simple fix I should have it back to normal this weekend

I'm fine with that one bug. I just flashed it and it is the fastest 4.2.2 ROM ever. I love it so far. Thank you so much for this ROM. Bluetooth WiFi and almost everything is working I just can't test 4g because I don't live in an 4g area. Yea so everything is running really good with marmite kernel.

Is 4G enabled on this build? I didn't see an option, at least in the usual place.

Well looks like I overlooked that, yes 4G should work but I forgot to swap out the settings.apk with a stock one that has the 4G toggle. There are apps on the play store that have 4G toggles, I'd use "widgetsoid" because it puts toggles and stuff in the notification drawer

I found that. Unfortunately, it didn't work. One time I got a popup that 4G settings had stopped. Other than that, no feedback when I tap it.

I don't know why but I cant fig out for the life of me how to fix an audio issue I'm having with this ROM. My Audio Earpiece and Speaker do not work for nothing calls, music etc. I have CWM 6.0.3.1 and have re-downloaded the ROM flashed wiped both caches but still no audio. Tried fixing permissions just for grins and nothing. Anyone else having similar issues? Other ROM's work ok so it has to be something I'm doing here. Thanks
