i have stupidly installed the htc unlock bootloader on to my desire, does anyone know how to remove it.
by the way i only have access to fastboot or i have a gold card
any ideas would be very gratefullly received

Lemme get this straight you installed HTC Unlock bootloader.. so that means you have now an unlocked bootloader and you wanna lock it back?

i can choose the option on fastboot to unlock but in won't work.

Hi guys,
I just updated my HTC M8(european) to Lollipop and after updating i hardreset the phone, which caused that all my photos and videos are wiped out. As I understood, undeleting files requires access to root and rooting is not possible without unlocking the bootloader. As I found out, it is only possible to unlock the bootloader by the HTC provided token and my question is:
1) is it possible to re-lock the bootloader as the original?
2) if re-locking requires S-OFF, is there any other option then the 25 USD sunshine?

1. No without S-OFF
2. Sunshine doesn't work with Lollipop yet

1. Try "fastboot oem lock" from bootloader
My M8 is also S-ON and I could relock with this method.
You will have "RE-LOCKED" message in bootloader.
I didn't mention that as they said they wanted it locked as it was originally, which can't be done without S-OFF. But yes, you can relock the phone using the above command

I read about a software named Simon's unlock utility but i cant find it online..... can any one give my a link to this or anyb other software like this. OR does anyone know a way to unlock bootloader or flash Hboot without unlock... plz tell me guys...

Follow the last part of the bootloader unlock guide at HTCDev.com, all you need to do is reflash the unlock token you were given from HTCDev.
Do keep in mind reunlocking your bootloader will completely wipe the internal storage, all your apps and data not on the SD card will be deleted, so do make a backup of your files
i m htc one m9 user i rooted my phone but when i relock my bootloader it stuck in boot menu

Why'd you relock it? Unlock it the same way you did the first time. If that doesn't work try to get a new unlock token. I'd say.
