What kind of backup do you have to restore from?

I use Titanium Backup.

I believe there is a batch option to Restore Missing Apps, so as long as you backed them up they should be restorable. I restore my apps and data regularly when I am testing things. Just don't restore system apps/data, that generally doesn't end well.

I still can't find my games and apps...

Well, I would guess that either they didn't get backed up, or if they were then the backup file was moved so Titanium can't see it. Either of those possible?

I don't know... Or must I reinstall the apk ? It taking up my whole SD space even though I can't see the games and apps...

Titanium will reinstall the .apk if it was backed up, but if you have moved the apps to the SD card then I don't believe Titanium can back them up properly. I keep all my apps on the internal memory but I know that is not possible with some phones due to low internal memory or if you have a lot of apps. In that case you would need to move them back from the SD to the internal memory, then back them up, then move them back to the SD.
Try reinstalling the apk, maybe it will be able to relink to the SD.

Unfortunately I don't know anyone from the Xperia Arc forums but I have requested that a mod move this thread over to that device's Q&A forum so you can get better device specific help than here in the XDA General forum.

As I don't have this phone I can only go by what I've read but this thread makes it sound like apps disappearing after moving to sdcard is a common problem

Also I know some methods to get root on some devices will wipe system data are you sure this is not the case?

I think it got wipe... But why it still taking up much space ?

If your referring to the 4gb used and 3.4gb free at the bottom of your screen shot that number is the total space used by everything on your sd card not just apps. I'm guessing you have otjerthings on.your sd card ie music, pics, rom, backups so that total refers to everything on your sd card

I would try and install a couple apps manually since you said titanium back up did not work. Reboot and see if they are there if not I would take a look at the thread I linked to in my prior post. If you don't have anything on your sd card like I mentioned and are still missing 4gb of space then you may need to format your sd card. This will erase everything on your card including partitions so back up anything of importance to your pc first.

It won't unroot it at all. You're safe to delete whatever you want to from your sd card. I suggest copying the sd card to your computer, just so you have a good backup. Then delete whatever you want. That way you have everything backed up, just in case you ever remember something you needed, you'll have it.

Aren't there a couple files you need in there to be able to boot into recovery? Other than those you can delete whatever you desire. Of course some apps and rom features may work incorrectly if you delete their files. Generally the rom and apps will replace these at their next start up if they are vital.

Actually no, since when you load your recovery, it loads it to the phone, not from the sdcard, so you could go into recovery without and sdcard even, you just won't be able to do anything. And yes, as he said, if you have apps/pic backgrounds, ect that are set to read from the sdcard and you delete them you'll get errors, ect.

Sounds like you will need to Odin in a stock or prerooted ROM and start again if CWM has errors. It could be a bad sd card too. You can put it in a computer, copy everything, format it in the phone in CWM and then put it back in the computer and restore everything.

so if the card is bad?would that mean the photos would be error to right?

Not necessarily. There just may be some bad areas or memory reads on it. Copy everything to your computer and view your photos. They are probably fine. They are in the DCIM folder.

I like to use titanium backup, some people prefer my backup root. They both work good. If you aren't sure if an app is safe to remove, try freezing it with titanium for a while and see if it causes any issues before fully uninstalling. Do a full backup of all apps first so you can restore them in the future easily.

how do i freeze apps
I think you need titanium backup pro to freeze. I can't remember if my backup root allows you to freeze or not. Just click on an app in titaium and you should see the freeze option.

If you mean the phone storage, get rid of Asphalt. Then go into manage applications and send all to USB storage (or sd card) that can be sent. You can then sort them by size and decide if you want to nuke some that won't go the your sd card. Tango refused to go and was 20MB...bye bye!
thanks for all that. so how can i free up my system rom and internal?
Go to settings>applications>manage applications and go to every listing and move every app that is not greyed out to sd/usb storage. Then what won't move decide if it is worth keeing. For example Tango was 20MB and would not move and is a POS so uninstall it goes.

Wait, are you looking for the actual .apk files themselves?
Use Titanium Backup, go to the Backup/Restore, then press the Menu button, then tap Batch, the tap Run next to all User Apps and Data plus System Apps (it's called something like that). Let it finish, take out the SD card, send in the phone, put the sd card back and restore system data/apps.

With root is the simplest way to do it. Root, then unroot. DooMLoRD has a simple way in the Android Development section.

Root your phone and use the back up feature of Titanium Backup or Super Backup.

[Q] My Rom is Telling me I'm phone is almost full but...

When I look from the perspective my computer I can;t identify where I have fill all 15 GB from?
Could this be a possible error from the Rom its self or is it hidden files that wouldn't be seen by my computer that is causing these kinds of issues?
I have also tried switching to have most my app and information stored on the SD card but nothing seem to be working.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Do you take a lot of pictures and/or video? If you're using a TouchWiz-based ROM, then you can tell the camera app to use the external storage (SD card) instead of local storage.
You can move them over with any file manager app.
Otherwise, I'm not sure. It's possible you have some games installed that simply can't be moved to SD, but that's pretty rare now days.

Nope
I don't really take any pictures nor do I store anything on my phone really.
Here are the screenshots I took of my memory usage.
My SD card is more Full than the internal memory.
I had tried doing a factory reset which did lower the totally memory usage but still had the system memory issue.

Agreed but I don't know 100% what to do about it.
I have done a wipe but it seems like its always still full which doesn't make sense.
I looked into storage after I installed a 4.2 rom and it said I have 4.2GB from CWM but then I can't find the files to back that up when I look from the computer side.
Any Ideas?

Lost.dir is for a repair recovery thingy for Mac I think. So basically, you can delete it's content if it's not something you wish to recover.

Not enough storage? seriously? how do i fix this?

so here's the thing... im trying to play The Simpsions: Tapped Out and the game keeps telling me that i dont have enough storage on my phone. how can that be? i send all my apps that i install to the SD card and still tell's me that i dont have enough space. i've went as far as re-installing my ROM and deleting most of my apps and still not enough space it keeps telling me. can someone give me some advice on how i can go about fixing this problem?

Have you checked to see how many NANDROID backups you have made on
your internal sdcard?
If you have made many of them, then that could be why you you get that error.
Each nandroid takes up over 3GB of space on your internal sdcard which is
where these large games store all their data during the instillation process.
The three most space consuming items are nandroid backups, movies and videos.
Good luck!
so where exactly could I find the back ups with a file explorer app?

It's usually in a folder with the same name as your recovery. Example, TWRP or CWM. If you used ROM Manager to handle your backup it's hidden. mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup
