hey all I searched the threads to the best of my knowledge and could not find an answer,does anyone know if wifi and usb tethering has been unlocked from t-mobile yet I just dont think its fair to pay 14.99 more for a data plan im allready paying for I just prefer USB tether over wifi tether or else I would just use FoxFi.

I recently am looking to use USB Tethering on my G2 and have found the Free PDA Net on the market place/reading forums.
The one question I have is will this cost me extra in my t-mobile plan? I currently have the unlimited data package.

Question if u use the stock tether does it say anything that u need to pay??
I tether a lot I'm doing it since the OTA update for tethering since then I didn't receive any notice that I need to pay for the plan, I think TMO won't charge us yet they still giving it free for G2 owners(correct me if I'm wrong)...

I have been using pda net usb tethering since years... There is no extra charge but if u want to upgrade to foxfi key, it's a paid app which u can even get for free in blackmart. Rest everything is free...

first you need to see if you are allowed to teather. if not it worth not risking it verison could turn your entire phone off if you break there t & c. so give it a check. if you are allowed then great news the xperia play on stock firmware includes both usb and wifi teathering. you will find it in wireless and networks under tethering and portable hotspot.
as i live in the uk i dont know what the rule are for teathering and if you are allowed you may have to find out how much teathering data you get. you may also need a teathering "add-on" to make it work. which will cost more money.
im on 3 UK and even thou im on pay as you go and teathering is not supported they dont seem to mind when i told them lol
Legally no you can't. You have to pay Verizon an extra $30 a month to tether. BUT, the FCC is currently looking into Verizon for charging money for tethering.
basically i was thinking about getting the galaxy fame on 3 because it has all you can eat data perfect for the internet however i want to tether but don't want to pay extra for doing so, so was wondering if there was a app that will let me tether and not let check my carrier to see if im on that plan, thanks
This has been asked before, but the answer has not been definitive. Since there has not been more discussion, i assume PDAnet works on the G3 but i want to confirm it before putting down my hard earned money.
Does PDAnet work with the G3 in either USB or hotspot mode on Verizon with an unlimited plan?

I believe the play store increased there refund time up to a hour now, should be enough time to test and decide..
If PDAnet doesn't work with the G3, I don't want to buy the phone. I need to tether.

I have a LG k10 on metro with the unlimited data plan and was wondering if someone could walk me through the steps on how to get unlimited tethering, specifically for an xbox. I am a layman whenever it comes to all this so if you could give me babysteps that would be great. I have tried looking it up but i cant understand what
is going on half the time lol. I would rather not root if i dont have to but if i do thats ok. Thanks in advance for any help.
