Wrong forum. But.. video call on the stock dialer? hmm, never seen that option on my dialer.

video call option is only on the unlock version of the Galaxy S 3. all US variants does not have this option.

It's dumb anyway because it only talks to other galaxy phones, like face time does for iPhone. DUMB. use oovoo it integrates with Facebook. Or Google talk

try Tango or google talk. Both apps have the option to video call.

[Q] Video Call Without Front Camera

I have Xperia Arc. There is no front camera in this phone. So I cannot make video call. But Can I receive video call from another phone? Can I have option for making video call in my contacts?
what application are you talking about? if skype then yes back camera works perfectly fine you can send and recieve videos.
Thanks for yr quick reply. But I am not talking about any application like skype or oovoo. I am telling that when we go for a call to a person at that time video call option should appear.
You need an app for video calling with the Arc because it's not a built in feature I use Fring and it works fine with the Arc to Iphone 4 the Iphone user can't get to see you unless you turn your phone around or if your in front of a mirror that works of course .

Yes. I have done it with Skype, Fring and the google one I think is Gtalk.
I have done it with skype and gtalk as well. On my wifes galaxy sl it has an option for video call when she makes a normal phone call. Does this phone have that type of option?

What I do have is Contacts from Skype that I have merged with my Google Contacts allow me to make a skype video call. It has the option "Video call with Skype"
I went to Contacts ---> Groups --> and choose my Skype user name and can see all my Skype contacts and those contacts have the "Video call with Skype" option.
Worked just fine calling my friend's Xperia Play VZW over Talk. Front camera was better than his
is there any way to have video calls via dialer? i've got free video calls, not data so I don't want to use skype or talk
Ask you're survive provider what app they support in free video calls, dialer has no ability to make video calls.
Sent from my SGH-I927 using xda app-developers app

Seconding dudejb here -- this is done through some app provided by that carrier, which may only be available on phones sold by that provider. Even if they won't willingly provide you with the app, hope is not completely lost -- you can dump the APK from a friend's Android phone, or get creative with an OtG cable on a demo unit at one of their stores. No guarantees that'll work though -- it may depend on some weird framework or hardware inside their phones.
any changes?
Hi, I've tried to search forum in this topic without success, so I need a clear answer for this question: is there any ROM supporting native video calls at the moment for i927?
And the second question (no need for very clear answer ) - anybody found any way to make native video call with i927? I thought this device is part of Galaxy S II series of phones which were declared to support such calls, but I'm quite confused now and afraid of being mislead...

[Q] If LG G4 has a standard video call?

Without Internet tango and more
G3 and G2 does not video calls Internet.
I know that the Samsung Galaxy and more
I did not find. have information if a video call?
It should come with Google Hangouts, which does video calls. Or you can download Skype, Whatsapp, etc.
Why does the video call software have to be built in when you can download so many options?

Sadly manufacturers seems to have given up on this handy feature, you can maybe use one of the apps for calls and make it your default call app, like hangouts... Hope it helps you.... Even if I hate apple products, I guess it's way easier for you with an apple product... you can easily launch face time.
well, i'm using H818p and it does not come with native 3G video calling option. its just not in the dialer. but i saw the carrier versions of G4 has 3G video calling. is there anyway to enable 3G video calling?

Can anyone please tell me what this icon is its driving me crazy.

this is the image.

Video call issues

I know I am late in the game with this phone. I have a galaxy note 10 plus unlocked from Samsung. I am using it on T Mobile. I recently found that I don't have a video calling feature, and it looks like it wants to use my google duo, not the built-in call video option which I see I don't have. I called both T Mobile and Samsung, neither of which takes responsibility and doesn't even know who is at fault with this. I was trying to read through the threads can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
When you select a contact to call do you see the video call icon bit it's grayed out? Or do you not even have the icon on your dialer/contact?
If its there but grayed, that is because it will only do native video calls to people on the same network (tmobile).
If there is no icon at all, I don't know why.
Sorry can't think of anything else

Hey, thanks for the reply. I don't have any option in the settings. Since I have google duo already installed on my phone, it would use that instead of giving me the option to use the native in-call video application which again not sure why it's not there. I am so frustrated. Would a factory reset help, I really don't want to do it since it came from Samsung I believe already done.
There is no setting for video calling in the settings btw....The option to use it appears on your phone dialer when you have a contact selected or punched in(stock dialer app), on the right side of the screen like the pic attached.
Is that where you are checking?
Also i for instance use tmobile, as you see in the pic the video option is grayed out, so unless a contact is also on tmobile as their service it won't be clickable (lit up green)
