Intro:
First port of JKay Framework to AT&T Galaxy S3.
First JKay port to any device by anyone other than JKay, that I know of.
All MODs were done by me except for those that contain a credit in features list.

Installation:
Download Zip and copy to SDCard.
Reboot into recovery.
If coming from a Non-TouchWiz ROM, Perform a factory reset in recovery.
Flash Zip via Recovery
You should see the Ariel splash image within a second or two after confirming Zip install.
Follow directions in Aroma installer, choosing desired setup.
After installation completes reboot, unless you want to flash other CWMs.
No longer needed after 2.10
If after confirming Zip install Aroma installer hangs at:
Starting AROMA INSTALLER version 2.51
(c) 2012 by amarullz xda-developers
Hold the power button for 10 seconds and release when screen turns off.
Wait ~5 seconds and hold the power button after the device vibrates,
until you see the Samsung splash screen with the small blue text in the upper left.
Once back in Recovery.
Enter 'Mounts and Storage'.
Choose 'Mount Data'.
Choose 'Go Back'.
Enter 'Mounts and Storage', again.
Choose 'Go Back', again.
Try to Install again.

Thanks to playboy71322 for pointing out this fix for the dreaded [insecure element] issue which occurs if you forget to reset your Wallet before changing ROMs.
Just flash the zip, reboot, clear data for Wallet, reboot, and login to Wallet again.

I've spent the past few months building it, so I am pretty confident of it's stability.
And in that time I was able to dissect what other Devs have done to learn the Samsung way of things.
I come from HTC and Moto, S3 is my first Samsung device.
So please let me know what you think after trying it out for a while.

Just flashed this...initially it doesnt boot and gets stuck on boot logo...have to force a reboot for it to work. Other than that looks solid so far

would it be possible to get the "vol rocker music controls" in this like in cyanogenmod.

Yeah nottach in the house!!!! Ok quick question, for those who have flashed this, are all the samsung apps included like video edit, camera, video minimize, and all share play? I know svoice is gone.

not to sound like a total noob here - - but i'm assuming most people flashing this are or were on UCALG1 right? Seeing as this was built on the version H1... I take it there isn't and shouldn't be any issues? I'm currently on G1. And I know from past experiences, when versions don't match - it can lead to issues - - although that isn't always true. Just double checking.

Problems Downloading
No Disrepect intended - and I do appreciate the hard work and effort you put into this rom - but I am first amazed that anyone has successsfully downloaded this rom. I have been trying to get a link to work for the last 20 minutes and all of the file share sites that are offered want me to sign up or join their web site - or download their "program" - arghhh...I personally HATE file share sites like that -
Look- I can;t speak for anyone else but for me, it has been a royal pain - I finally got one to work - after clicking on about 20 different links - but That download has been sitting on 1% for the last 10 minutes now - and says it will take over 6 hours to download and that is only 1/2 the rom.
Can I suggest that you talk to Bravomail? He did the Nostalgia ROM and recently changed to a new file share company that works really well! -
I really want to try this ROM - but I can't wait 6 hours to download this thing - and actually it might end up being more like 12 hours once I figure out how to download the 2nd half
If it is a question of cost - let me know and I will pay for the file share service. I would rather pay for it for you than have to go thru what I just went thru to download this thing.
I am eager to try your rom but am frustrated by the difficulty I am having finding a way to download it easily.

Using the Aroma Installer
This is a quick guide to using the Aroma Installer since this highly customized version may be slightly different from what you have used before.
Looks complicated, but is super easy. And I think you will appreciate the ability to customize your set-up without having to re-install the ROM.
Enjoy!
Be sure to select your carrier!
Installation:
Nandroid backup
Factory reset in recovery if coming from a non-TouchWiz ROM (backup internal SD Card contents first)
Flash in recovery (button or touch)
Aroma installer should start within ~5 seconds
Choose a theme (if the colors look borked, go back and choose the theme again).
After agreeing to the disclaimer and viewing the changelog, Choose either:
Install or Update ROM - Installs ROM
or
Add or Remove Features - Allows you to add or remove apps, launchers, etc without re-installing the ROM.

Install or Update ROM:
Choose either:
Full Wipe - Clean install wipes system, cache, Dalvik, and app & system data (no media, etc).
or
Update Wipe - Wipes system, cache, Dalvik (for current CSROM users only)
Choose desired options.
If you don't choose a launcher, the TW launcher will be installed.
If you install both AOSP and Samsung email you will get repeated FC's.
You can install both launchers and decide which one to use after boot.

Add or Remove Features:
Be sure to select everything you want included in the ROM, even if it is already installed on your device.
If any given item is not selected, it will either not be installed, or deleted if it is already installed.

Additional Info
If at any point Aroma hangs, hold the power button until device reboots recovery (10-15 seconds).
If install completes and you get a "Status 0" error after pressing "Reboot" in Aroma, just reboot the device.

I use a lot of google talk, some how I cant install it in this rom. I have tried downloading the latest gapps and installed it again but still no google talk.
Was anyone able to get it installed?

I added a flashable zip to the third post.

a word of appreciation for this ROM: flashed it last night and it works very well. I like the fact that you stripped out some bloat, the rest is easy to remove and modify ourselves, like the standard launcher and the option with Razor, thank you for the 1% battery mod and the extended power menu, and thank you for not then lumbering the ROM with a bunch of other features I neither want nor use!
If there is one request, it would be to keep the base nice and simple and have any extras people start asking you for as separate install packages or zips -- lots of other roms with 64 toggles, battery bar and other cut and paste features -- don't mess this one up!

You just described my Clean Slate concept (the "CS" in "CSROM").
I rarely add things without other options (like the launcher).
When I start a new ROM the first thing I do is remove most obvious manufacturer and carrier crap.
Then I try to keep most of the mods as background items you might not notice (performance & battery life improvements, revealing options blocked by carriers and device manufacturers, changing default settings to things that most of us use, etc.) and additional options.
If I do make a big, obvious change I do it because I really believe it improves the ROM.
When I theme, it is to move things in an AOSP direction or to clean up a mess (like the stock notification drawer toggles).
I try hard to balance what I want and what most users want with the ROM concept. I don't always get it right, but I try.

Been running this since release and I've decided to make it my DD. Still much to early to comment on battery life but everything else I have put it through has been solid. Not one issue, you made it just like I would have if I had your smarts.

My only question would be how to disable or remove the ATT contact pop up....I looked it apps and TiBu didn't see it...

I'm digging the ROM everything works good. I do notice some lag with the RAZR launcher but with the twiz launcher everything is snappy. Thanks again

Removing the AT&T contacts is on my list of things to do.
It should only pop up on first install. Did it happen more than once?

Yes, there is a touch of lag with the RAZR launcher. But the circle widgets make up for that. It is from an ICS ROM. As soon as a JB version becomes available I will update it and hopefully that will fix the problem.

I like it so far, only problems are S Voice isn't an Aroma choice, the CM alarm and timer on top of the regular Samsung clock that has alarm, timer and stopwatch, and lack of more launcher choices.

This looks so [email protected] good. It's becoming hard to resist flashing it, even though I'm very happy with my current rom..... Decisions decisions...

Regarding the ATT pop in contacts.... I thought that yet have checked and rebooted to see , it comes up each time I open my contacts still works just for me annoying... Would luv to see a centered clock again my liking. Overall this is a great ROM that runs great and is smooth. I can see you put allot of thought and work into it and it shows.

I don't own this device, so I can not test my roms.
I give my roms to testers before and they check & confirm that it works.
As a result, releases will be slower than usual(if you know me from Note II, you probably know that I am pretty fast )

Turn off the device.

Check if modem changed after phone reboots. If not, repeat the steps again.

Q: I am getting assert failed when I am trying to flash the rom. What should I do?
A: I have put a security command to check the models of your phone, because we have several versions for our device, and some people might flash on the wrong model.
This command makes sure you are using the right model.
If you have the right model and you still get that, you have to use PhilZ recovery:

After you flash the recovery, flash the rom agian and it will work.

Q: When I try to flash your rom I get Installation aborted, why?
A: In the latest version of Philz there is a problem with using wipes before flashing zips.
For example, if you click on "Full wipe to install clean rom" via philz or use Super Wipe, you won't be able to flash any zip until you reinstall recovery.
So the solution is:
1. Flash first the rom
2. In aroma select Full Wipe
3. Enjoy.
If you have already made full wipe /super wipe via philz, just reinstall the recovery.

I really like what I see so far -only one issue so far during setup - I did a clean flash - when I had to choose settings -it wasn;t really clear which one was what - so I just chose one - turned out to be the 'tabbed' version - so when I was adding my Exchange Account - it had black text on black backgrounds in the account settings part of exchange setup making it difficult to know what to enter where.
I checked the other settings and it was easier to read - and easier to setup accordingly.
All in all - so far so good.
I do like the look a lot - can can't wait to see what the future holds for this ROM - thanks for your efforts - it's off to a great start.

Why hello there guys. I still support the Atrix but am not really doing much these days. I had the S3 for the last year, then recently got the S4. I built this ROM for the S3 and am now rebuilding it for the S4. Some of the custom settings options are not yet working because there have been some code changes I still need to figure out.
Looking forward to some feedback!

I am not sure there is a way to individually name the two options for the settings menus since they are both the same apk.
If you post a screen shot I will look into fixing the theming error with the black text.

I made so many changes to PNGs and xmls that there is bound to be some more theming glitches. If you find any please post a screen shot.

I haven't gone anywhere buddy...you know that. The S3 is still fully supported. Just waiting for AT&T to finally release 4.1.2 so I can update.

I have a couple of screen shots from the Settings Apk - this is the "tabbed" version - from Exchange - setting up a new account.
Black on Black text. No complaints by the way - considering the depth of this rom and the fact this is the first release, there is bound to be stuff - anything you can do to help clean this up is greatly appreciated ...see attachments
I was able to figure out what fields these were because I have setup exchange in so many roms - but it was a bit challenging...

Rom is debloated based on what i don't want in it so. i have included some bloat files in mods_s7
Background apps being Auto Shutdown
to prevent apps from being auto closed do the Following
1. go to smart manager
2. click on ram
3. click tab on the right
4. now scroll through the list and turn on all apps you do not want to be auto closed by the system
5. now click the option in upper right corner
6. change it to do not optimize
7. thats it. the apps you have enabled with continue to run in the background
8. enjoy
Rom Install Instructions:
TWRP Recovery Recommended!!
1. Copy v3.1 stock rom to your sdcard
2. reboot recovery
3. Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik x3
4. Install v3.1 stock rom from SDCard
5. reboot and setup rom. and i mean set it up exactly how you want it to be without flashing any updates
6. now reboot to recovery and do your BACKUP(don't skip this step - you've been warned)
7. now that you have a working backup. stay on stock or dirty flash the newest update
8. reboot
9. Enjoy your 100% customized Rom
10. Initial Boot Time is Approximately 10 Minutes so be patient. hopefully you'll enjoy what the end result is.
TWRP Restoring your rom
1. boot to twrp and restore the backup you made
2 now flash the newest update
3. thats it enjoy

Hey the Internet crashing on some sites not all and I tried to use density changer it's saying I'm not rooted but I am and looks like people edge might not be working but other than that super s7 rom and what's build prop setting to get 4glte to show

ok. try a different browser. density changer will not get root for some reason use textdroider to change density. people edge should work fine. it does here and i changed build.prop a few times to t-mo phone models and it still shows 4g only. it is connected lte it just won't show it.
i fixed camera, fixed nfc, fixed mms, whats broken now is how i got it. i tryed to fix some of the issues without success so. but it is stable enuff and functional enuff for a daily driver

nice rom!! just one question. i have the n910t3 model and just wanted to know if there is another kernel i could flash so i can use kernel auditor to increase the sound volume. ive noticed on every other mm rom when i flash a different kernel the phone reboots after 2 minutes. this only happens when i use my cell data. but as long as wifi is connected it doesnt reboot.

i'm waiting for fingerprint to work. but great work.....
