Worth waiting for CM7 or just install Oxygen?

Been wanting to install Gingerbread, but have been patiently waiting for a stable CM7 release. Seems that the Oxygen Rom has gone through a fair few iterations, and prob is as stable as any CM release. Shall I just install Oxygen, or hold on in there for CM7?
your choiche but the last cm7 nightly is pretty stable.
Personally, CM 7 is better than Oxygen

[Q] Will the Wildfire get CM 7.2?

Yep, will it ever get CM 7.2? Are there any devs working on it? Just wondering.
I thought the unofficial builds by erwin and cobje are 7.2??
Officially though I doubt it now as arco and Jacob have moved on to better phones.

As per the CM Blog, It was planned to have a final stable release of CM7 to incorporate all the changes that have gone through since the last stable came out, and also since the nightlies stopped. However, now that CM9 nightlies have started, (For some devices), I don't know whether this plan (To get 7.2 Stable) is still on or not.
Basically, if you are already on the local builds by cobje / Erwin, you won't get anything else, apart from a "Stable" in the file name, and the ability to file bug reports on the CM bug tracker (Which will not help, given that CM7 is almost dead)
Ok thank you. Its just like senseonfire beta 0.4 0.5 etc. And jokerdroid 4.2 and 4.3
Tought it was like cm6 cm7 cm9, for every version another android version.

What is the most usable function in this forum? A friend of mine wants to use search function but doesn't know how to.
So I took approximately 8 seconds of my time to find this.

atleast he posted in general.....
@op, you can try the first one v2.2 .....the later builds were based on nightlies of Cm7 so oldest is most stable..... But no issues in trying latest.... Usually instability arises from unstable kernels , so try different kernels before giving up on any ROM...

CM9 in production or bad link?

I spotted this: http://changelog.bbqdroid.org/#bravo/cm9/next
Which seems to suggest a long history of nightly CM9 builds for the Bravo - but I've only got 7.2.0.1 on the device listing. I take it the link is incorrect rather than I just don't find the download and there really is CM9 coming to the Desire? What have I missed?
Thanks,
Matt.
CyanogenMod team does not offer even an experimental CM9 build for Desire so far, however there are several ROMs for Desire that are built using CM9 sources.
You might want to check this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403113
Do you happen to know if they will be and official stable CM9 release for the HTC Desire, or will the last "official" one be CM7? I guess it might be considered too old/slow for a stable release.
I'm using Sandvold's ICS ROM (0.14) BTW which runs pretty smoothly .
Arite.

CM9 Upgrade

I'm currently on a cm9 beta3 ROM on Samsung Galaxy W GT-I8150. As I had viewed the thread on the forum, I may only need to wipe data n' cache if I wanna do a major upgrade or change Into a new ROM. And upgrading between cm9 versions is not necessary to wipe them out. my problem is, what's a major upgrade mean? Does an upgrade between beta3 to alpha1 a major upgrade? Thx
you are currently running a very stable version (beta3) of the CM9 ROM..
if u want a major upgrade u should install the CM9 beta 4 version.
if you're aiming a alfa version of CM9.. well this is a downgrade to a "unstable" verion..
so u can change ROM to the CM10 alfa2 or 3 version.. this is a upgrade.. i made this (now i'm using CM10 alfa2) and i solved my old problem.
hope this help you

Thx for the info. But as long as I know, CM10 is only for tablet? Or could be installed on my wonder?
CM 10 works on phones and tablets. Check their page itself to see if your device is supported. As a thumb rule, if it officially got 9, then it will get 10
