Reserved for future........

Had already the "old" Beats Audio Mod running but will give this one a try ... Thanks

is it jz flash this file only for first time? and then, can i revert/ uninstall it in future?

cm10
not workin in cm10 helly bean

Your attached thumbnail?
Are we suppose to have that equalizer?
Just flash it over your previous version, got the Dolby app and turn it on.......that's it?
On my S2, ICS 4.0.4 ROM.

Successfully installed on CM10 nightly but there seemed to be no configurable equaliser as per first attached image. And no beats audio on/off option? Difference is pretty minimal though.

It's not configurable by it self. You must use dsp and applications built in equaliser.

You're missing the point. Showing your screenshots (especially 1st image) without annotating which app used on your first post is not going to be helpful at all, at least for Play Music app. Most people do use Voodoo Sound so no issue about identifying that. Different music players have differing equaliser settings, options and no. of slider steps. Users who are keen to try out your best settings encountered by you would wish to follow strictly to ensure they maximise their enjoyment so we cannot just blindly see, touch and go.
And lastly, you certainly need to clean up on your attitude.

Lets cool it, guys....Can't deny he has done a good job.
Just a minor mistake on the thumbnail....Thought it was the Dolby mobile equalizer...lol
Well done.

Who can claim that this mod really improves sound?

i remember that Supercurio said , that this mod is only a placebo effect, like almost every other app that wants to improve sound...
By the way : Why the hell you post this in DEV section, never saw the Theme & App section where this belongs to ? Said...

Many many thanks to ROCKODEV team and all who involved in making Beats audio0731.
I just mod his work and added some files from Sony Xperia mobile.
Change log:-
More clear Sounds
Stable bass
Dolby Mobile feature
Clear Beats
And all feature of RockoDev team.
100% working on Samsung Galaxy S running Jelly bean Elite rom RC 10; tested by me; you feel the difference of sound quality after installing it.
Best setting as experienced by me are available in the attachment/Screenshorts.Also for for stable bass you need Voodoo Sound app.
How to Install?
First go to CWM and wipe dalvik cache and install zip file (Beats Audio0823 with Dolby mobile mod by N!K.zip).
If you have already installed my previous beats audio0817 mod by N!K.zip (you can find my previous zip file from this link forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1265728&d=1345189225)
I have posted my previous beats audio0817 mod by N!K.zip in this thread ( forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525226&page=209)
then you can install directly over that.
If you have install RockoDev team beats audio then you have to flash this beats audio over fresh installed rom i.e first you have to install rom then flash my beats audio0823 with Dolby mobile mod by N!K.zip.
After flashing this file go to apps you find Dolby mobile app open it and allow Super user/super su permission.
Now feel the difference
This beats audio0823 with Dolby Mobile mod by N!K.zip work on all rooted device.
Thanks.

Poweramp: Missing Dolby and SRS

Hello all.
I miss the dolby and srs feature in poweramp :-( ARHD 6.2 is installed on my DHD. Is it my fault or is it the rom or is it poweramp? If any1 knows something about plz gimme a hint.
Thx in advance
ARHD, being a sense ROM should have srs and dolby settings. I think you have moved to PowerAmp 2 from PowerAmp 1 or may be just started with PowerAmp2.
In first version the SRS and Dolby settings were right in front and easily visible, for some reason these settings in Ver 2 are a lil difficult to find.
You can find SRS and Dolby settings in PowerAmp 2 in Vol/Bal Tab in Eq settings menu. Look for DHD button in that section.
The Dolby and srs function should be nothing more than pre-configured equalizer options... Right?

Dolby Mobile, hailed as an "audio processing technology platform that brings rich, vibrant surround sound to music, movies, and television programs on mobile phones and portable media players," As for SRS Labs, it's boasting its own SRS CS Headphone technology, which reportedly "takes stereo or surround encoded 2-channel audio and processes it using an ultra-low-power Circle Surround decoder to create 5.1 highly accurate channels."
srs and dolby could only be used on the official music player!
I dont see this anywhere.....has this changed since all the updates? thanks

Once I modded by using beats audio installer I bricked my phone and it lost the audio. If you could help me in installing the drivers on the phone it would be a great help. [Guide] Optimal Galaxy Nexus Audio Setup

Disclaimer: I am not a developer and have no rights or claim to any of the files listed below. I only use them to "Rock Out"
Like many of you I have struggled with the lack luster audio output of the Galaxy Nexus. Nearly a year later and much has been done to correct this. I was using Volume + for a while before upgrading to 4.2.1 which broke its functionality and limited the effect it had on my audio output. There are two formidable modifications out right now that will take your GNex to the next level but because they are similar in functionality I will discuss the one that provides the most merged features.
Before you get started please ensure that you have rooted your phone, have an updated custom recovery such as TWRP or CWM. I will not tell you which Kernel to use, however I will tell you that I have this 100% working on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus using AOKP 4.2.1 or AOKP MR1 BuildX. The MOD developers also state that it is confirmed working for the Galaxy Nexus 4.2.1 (AOKP) I do not know if any other ROM will work with this phone.
The MOD is called Ac!d Audio Engine which combines Beats Drivers found in some HTC phones with other sound engines such as Sony's Xlouder, Dolby, etc... There is another thread for the mod that I will link below. You can go there and read/download the MOD and I will give you a brief description below on initial setup.
Before installing this please make a full backup of you Galaxy Nexus. Even though this works for most phones it is also ROM dependent. With that in mind make a backup please. Coming from any other ROM or Version of AOKP you must do a FULL WIPE!!!! I would also download each component and upload to your phones internal SD before you run through the steps. This way you can install them all one after another and not have to wait for your phone to optimize applications multiple times.
Step 1 - Please visit http://aokp.co/release-jb-mr1-build-2/
Download the version or this for your phone. Like many developers they list the phones as the code name for instance VZN is Toro.
Install this using the latest version of CWM or TWRP. I realize most people get really attached to ROM developers and stick with them. I will promise you that this is totally worth trying for the sound improvement not only in quality but shear DB gain.
Wipe Dalvik
Step 2 - Install the version of GAPPS listed on the AOKP website. Remember that as this thread ages the ROM could change as well as GAPPS.
Wipe Dalvik
Step 3 (Optional) - Install your favorite Kernel. As long as it is verified for JB 4.2.1 it should work. I use LeanKernel (not tested on GSM) you can get that form here: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/13092-kernel-leankernel-minimalistic-kernel-48-58-12313/
Wipe Dalvik
Step 4: Install the Ac!d Audio Engine found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923630
Wipe Dalvik
Also Important download the Ac!d Noozoxide or Ac!d Awesome Beats appllication and flash as well. It is possible against the Dev's advice to install both of them. As long as you remember not to configure them both you should not get any audio issues. I tend to uninstall them via the standard app drawer if I want to switch and reinstall them later should I want to switch back.
Once installed bootup, go to settings, sound, music effects and choose the DSP you want to use either Awesome Beats or Noozoxide. Next open up a music player such as Google Music and start your favorite tune. Next open the application drawer and choose the DSP you installed to open. Tweak headphones first. Inside the application you will notice immediate change by enabling the equalizer and editing the sliders. Please note that depending on the quality of your headphones these values may need to be lower than expected to get rid of rattling or audio anomalies. The other two tweakable settings are for build in speaker and bluetooth audio output.
From my experience Awesome Beats is configurable louder however that introduces artifacts into your music if it crosses the thresh hold that your headphones can handle. Noozoxide has a few different filters and is easier to tweak. The reason I say to use either one of these is because sounds across you the entire phone are improved and louder; Calls, notifications, other player apps like Pandora etc.
I hope anyone who views this gives it a try. I wanted to wait until AOKP 4.2.1 had matured past build one to give everyone a smoother experience. Also this will push your phones DAC much harder. Certain kinds of headphones such as over ear (50mm +) couldn't really be driven hard prior to this MOD but now they can so you may experience additional battery drain if not using smaller ear buds. If you love music like I do most people will make this sacrifice.
Here is a video of an installation and tweaking of a Galaxy S3. The Galaxy Nexus will be similar once the files have been flashed and you can tweak your audio settings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pkmnKN-r9Y
Please let me know if you find this useful and hopefully you fall back in love with your phone all over again. :highfive::victory:
P.S. I really love wiping my Dalvik
Thanks, Joe.

I installed this after I updated my tenderloin to the latest CM 9 to the latest nighty. The first couple of flashes played the initial sounds but as soon as I plugged in headphones all sounds we failed to play. I simply dirty flashed the ROM a few times including the MOD until I turned off the ac!d audio notifications. Afterward I changed my dsp to Noozoxide and it worked perfectly. Strangely though the audio filters work and sound great but it still cannot compare to WebOS volume wise. This to me is proof that the driver choice is everything because the Touchpad has the better audio hardware than most mobile/tablet. Didn't want to stray from the Galaxy Nexus discussion but this could be viable for the GNex on CM 9+ or ICS in general.

No I flashed the ROM with the ac!d audio mod. I also chose noozoxide as the DSP but with CM you could try the included DSP it is identical to the awesome beats DSP. With ac!d audio you really need an equalizer to utilize the drivers. Even if you leave it flat you can at least get a dB gain.
I recall supercurio saying something along the lines of these not actually improving audio performance in measurements and such. I've looked at these before but I sceptical.... anyone have actual measure of improved performance and not just placebo?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I do not know if the audio drivers/ engine components are Placebo or not. What I do know is that my phone plays very deep bass and sounds great afterward. This might only be attributed to the DSP but I can tell you that Music FX is a terrible DSP and Volume+ stopped working with 4.2.1. So anything I can do to be satisfied with sounds is better than listening to SuperCurio debunk things with no proof. Is it better than DSP manager that comes with CM? I do not know. But if you can make a backup and it doesn't break your phone I also cant say there's any reason for skepticism.
acid works great with pa so far. flashed yesterday and havent had any issues when i've played over speaker or headphone port. Better then DSP manger... meh i can still crank up the bass when i am feelin in the mood and sounds great.

Yeah, on 10.1 I couldn't get either Noozoxide or AC!D Awesome Beats to kick in. Only the default DSP packed with CM worked. I tried it through my IEMs and my car. Though, yeah, even that was noticeably better.

Why dont you post some of this science? Every idiot knows that a DSP is a valuable tool... Which is what I said. Why are you proverbially blowing supercurio? I understand if he's butthurt cause not every Hw manufacturer uses wolfsen as the DAC hense voodoo audio doesn't work. Cause here you come to defend his honor in a thread that you don't belong in... Sorry truth sucks. Now stop being a flaming troll. You will be slapped down every time in my thread...

I'm sorry that it doesn't work. It could be possible that cm 10.1 only works with built in DSP. It does work with aokp and paranoid android though which are both 4.2.1. So much for placebo though if even the packaged DSP manager was better... Granted. I suppose drivers actually make a difference despite what people who havn't tried it believe. Because the DSP is just an equalizer. The drivers are what improve the DAC performance.
P.S. I trust a curio to hold my TV in my bedroom not to tell me about what works on my phone.

If you mean loudness when you talk about good sound I cant agree with you. Good sound is clear sound.
Yeah bro I read your replies yes I know that using power amp only gives not extreme quality song but can u tell me how to use beats audio with power amp
And bro have also used viper sound mod but didn't got that quality........
I mentioned that I am inspired by galaxy s1 dsp manager its setting of vm8688 where can adjust amplifier level and bass in DB if anyone of u know about that......
And bro remember to give method of using beats audio with power amp surely will try that........

Tell me, what i should do, because I'am very curious, i hope that mod mentioned by you is not so crappy as Noozxoide (it had only compessor working, any other fx didn't gave me any difference on very good headphones)
Yes it's. Others users have installed it. Search here in XDA the apk file.

Oh, thank you Viper4Android provides really good sound, it has great benefits (but some drawbacks too).
I haven't tried Convolver yet, because i did'nt downloaded plugins yet. .
My feelings are that:
-Bass is not so powerful as I wanted, but it's quite natural
-Higher freqs are good, i think they are better than using DSP Manager
-I like so much Haas Surroround effect, but it lowers bass
-Other Surroround effects are just bad as DSP Manager Virtual Surroround effect.
-In my opinion FIREqualizer is the same as in DSP Manager
But there are the main disadvantages:
-Even if the bass is so low (i mean deep), it's distorted a bit, when there's a bit more of bass. SRS provides ultra low freq, pumping bass without any distortion.
-Midtones and sound dynamics, there's no "WOW" effect, there's no depth they are a bit flat I remember well how SRS made midtones were so intense, like SRS could auto-fit to every other song/tracks.
Your suggestion helped me much, anyway if someone will port SRS to our phones, i'll try this "beauty"
Old love will not be forgotten:laugh:

So...here you can have some problems because:
-stock player (you mean LG's player?), problably it won't work, you have to use any music player which support external equalizer (try Google Music Player, or Apollo).
-if you you Superuser instead SuperSu, you can have problem with V4A
-if you have any other "Equalizer app" like DSP Manager or Awesome BEATS, or AC!D or Noozxoide, you should delete them and restart the device, or just run V4A, go to V4A's Settings and try safe/compability mode, and restart of course
I not am sure, will it be working on stock, but it's working on CM based roms, you can try modded stock roms like SAVVY or Epsilon

- Yes I mean stock LG music player (Tried poweramp but no success again)
- I have superSu.
- I dont have any other equlazer app.
- I also think that it is because of stock launcher.
The last thing I havent tried yet is the Apollo music app.
And could you also please tell me where are those drivers are installled?
After I install V4A and its drivers, I do not see any driver folder in my folders.
thanks again,

Hello,
The problem is that sometime it is working and sometime not. I have stock and shuttle player. I have got it to work on stock as on shuttle, but not every time. You can check by selecting driver status in Vfx (for headset or phone speaker) if it is enabled as well if it is working.
When it work, its great.
I am also rooted and on stock rom.

I think the problem is stock rom...maybe it doesn't support external eq's. Just try stock modded like Epsilon or SAVVY. Don't worry, you can backup your app data (savegames, and various in-app settings) by using Titanium Backup. V4A is working for sure in any CM based rom. So I recommend you flashing Vanir, PAC-Man or ThinkingBrigde.
any problems that can be (if you really want to stay on your current rom):
-when you launch V4A app first time, does it asks you for SuperUser/root permission? It must asking for root permisions, without this, it won't work
-how did you installed V4A? flashing it from .zip file is not the best idea, my suggestion is downloading it from Play Store (yep, this one with chineese or japanese chars)
BTW, it was using V4A but I'm not so pleased from using it. When I found my fav presets for some songs, they were sounded (sorry 4 my english) much better, i felt they are wider in sound, but when I listened other songs, which they was surroround effects (stereo effects-yep, I am talking about electronic dance music) without modifying sound, with the same presets, all the effect was worse than without V4A. Generally, some some sound better, some worse using it. Furthermore V4A, distortes bass a bit too much, so instead of ultra loooow and clear bass, we have sth nice but distorted , even with using limiter. It's only my opinion, but trust me I am almost audiophile (lol) . I think the genius of SRS WOW HD (the same as in Desire HD) is that, it's changes own presets dynamically, depending of songs (omg, what a shame that SRS is ported for Optimus L7 but not our OG ).
You can try AC!D Sound Mod too, it should be working using stock rom, but I'm not sure if it's fully working, it has some partial bugs and missing some features. The most universal Equalizer at this moment is DSP Manager

If you are using ViPER4Android please try this:
Ultimate Music Effects Mods and Settings
This is a tutorial on using audio mods and settings to achieve maximum sound quality from the devices you are using. Any decent pair of headphones or earphones are capable of delivering much higher quality sound than they do using default device settings and equalizers, and you'll be surprised how far a little tweaking will take your whole music experience.
Mods You Will Need
The magic is made possible entirely thanks to ViPER's Audio,http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2191223, which you will need to install to use the settings described in this thread. Visit the ViPER's Audio page (linked above) and follow their instructions listed in their thread to get ViPER4Android FX installed on your device.
You will also need DSP Manager for a single setting in this tutorial, I've attached the APK for DSP Manager 2.0
The Settings
Once you have ViPER4Android FX and DSP Manager installed, use the following settings to take your music to a whole new level.
ViPER Settings...
MASTER POWER
Enable: This must of course be enabled to switch on the music effects.
PLAYBACK GAIN CONTROL
Enable: Enable PlaybackAGC
Effect Strength: Moderate
Max Gain: 4x
Max Output: -1.9dB
Leave FIREQUALIZER, CONVOLVER, FIELD SURROUND, DIFFERENTIAL SURROUNND, HEADPHONE SURROUND +, and REVERBERATION disabled.
DYNAMIC SYSTEM
Enable: Enable dynamic system.
Select Listening Device: Set to Common Earphone V2
Select Dynamic Bass: Set to 33%
Tube Simulator: Leave tube simulator disabled
FIDELITY CONTROL
Enable Viper Bass: Enable Viper Bass
Select Bass Mode: Set to 40Hz (I've chosen this because it significantly enhances the bass experience in music, by making the bass more "felt" than heard. This makes bass feel more powerful and realistic, but because it requires a decent set of earphones or headphones to actually work properly. By setting the Bass Boost higher for less powerful speakers, it may be possible to achieve the desired bass effect. If bass seems too weak at 40Hz, feel free to set it to 60Hz or even 100Hz as required. Because 40Hz takes real speaker power to pull off, I've noticed that for most earphones it makes bass crisp and powerful without completely overpowering music.)
Select Bass Boost: 10.0dB (for use with a Bass Mode of 40Hz on most headphones and earphones, but may be adjusted as needed on less powerful speakers)
Enable Viper Clarity: Enable Viper Clarity
Select Clarity Mode: Set to XHiFi (I've found that XHiFi enhances the highs and vocals much more effectively than Natural, and really emphasizes sounds that may not even have been heard before)
Select Clarity: Set to default (This ensures that even though highs and vocals are more prominent, they are not overpowering)
AUDITORY SYSTEM PROTECTION
Enable Cure Tech+: This setting is completely optional. Leaving it unchecked ensures that every single detail of music is still heard, while checking it slightly removes very high highs and protects your hearing.
Select Binaural Level: If you do enable Cure Tech+, I'd recommend at least a Moderate setting to truly benefit from the setting. It doesn't have too much of a negative impact, and after getting used to it, music still sounds amazing.
MASTER GATE (LIMITER)
Output gain: 0dB
Channel Pan- 0.5:0.5
Limit Threshold: 0dB
DSP Manager Settings...
The only thing you need to change in DSP Manager is setting
DYNAMIC RANGE COMPRESSION
Enable: Enable Dynamic Range Compression
Select Effect Strength: Extreme
(This brings all elements of the music to an equal volume, which makes music much more detailed and brings out sounds you never heard before, while keeping any bass or vocals from becoming too powerful)
You can double check all of these settings in the images attached.
Remember to hit the Thanks button if your music has never sounded better

You need to change the UI to Expert.
I've not installed DSP Manager at the moment and I've changed only the parameter in bold to 6dB, because the sound was a little bit low...
Edit: I advice to keep DSP Manager, the sound improvement is notable!
Hey guys,
I don't know if this fits in this thread, but you were already speaking about it.
So my question is: How to get Viper4Android flawlessy working on the Optimus G? I have tried it many times and with different versions on the stock rom (rooted of course), but when i got i to work and rebooted the phone it didnt work anymore.
It only worked with Neutron Music Player and then I rebooted the phone and it didnt work!
Please help me

[APP][PORT][JB/KK] XPERIA Z1 Walkman + Clear Audio

Hello.
For everyone that wants an alternative for the stock Motorola Sound Effects and the Google Play Music Player. I installed this MOD made by ibanez7 and it worked in my Moto G.
REQUERIMENTS:
Backup your data
CWM or TWRP Recovery
Root
For install, follow the instructions of the original post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48165168&postcount=337).
NOTE:
Everything works, except Edit Music Info and Download Music Info, I recommend delete the file (system/app/SemcMetadataCleanup.apk) in the Walkman ZIP before flash for avoid FC's.
This MOD is incompatible with another audio MOD's, in this case the Motorola audio effects app is visible but FC's. I recommend uninstall or disable the Motorola audio effects app for avoid FC's and incompatibilities.
The Sound Enhancements Equalizer is compatible with Google Play Music Player.
Did you feel any audio improvement?

Yes, I did. I'm not a music professional, but definitely I feel that is better than the Motorola stock audio effects, specially I feel a difference in bass with Clear Bass feature.
Also I've tried with a bluetooth headphones and the effects works too, for me the improvement it's good.
This works really good!
I listen to music every day and i can hear a significant increase in sound quality when Clearaudio+ is enabled.

Do you just extract, delete the file and then compress it again?
Edit: nevermind I had a brainfart... I got it but for the Motorola audio. What is the actual name for it so I could disable it. Thanks

I think yes. As you can see in the original thread, the MOD was designed for CM10 based roms and for Stock JB/KK roms. If your custom rom is CM10 based, this mod could works. The only way of knowing is try it !! :fingers-crossed:
Thanks sounds great!
