hi DanDroidian. HiddeEye functions as device admin to monitor screen unlocks. you must first deactivate it before you get to uninstall it. no need to worry.. thats how device admin apps work..

Fair enough.
Ifirst went to "manage apps" and it was NOWHERE to be found.
I finally deleted it with Titanium Backup.
When I went back to the Market, it gave me that screen shot and neither option worked at that point.
I guess it's uninstalled though.
Thx.

I'm just interested in enabling it when I leave the phone lying around the house/on the bar/on my desk in work/etc to see if anyone's accessing it. I don't want to pin/pattern lock it as my kids play games on there, and it will draw suspicion if my phone is suddenly pin/pattern locked.

Cool idea. I will try it out for a day or two and then leave feedback. So far from my quick testing of entering a bad pin it took my pic. Interesting...

Amaaazing screen off app!!!

A lil thanks if you like it will be appreciated ;D
The idea is nice but beeing left handed it triggers accidentally too much for me. Works pretty sweet though. Wish the prox sensor was on the right
Be cautious... Just tried playing with this on CM7 #B30, and almost couldn't get it off my phone. Also, didn't appear to work properly (I'm guessing its a Gingerbread issue). Not sure if these results are typical, but I had to reboot 3 times, uninstall through both the market, and app manager, and without being able to do nandroid yet, I was a little nervous.
Idea sounds great though. It'd be a fun trick to show friends, that's why I gave it a shot.
I am LOVING this!
This is the type of app that makes me go week at the knees! <3

You don't follow directions. And it worked fine on my gingerbread build. To delete it fully, you first need to to in to settings, locations&security, then select device admin. Untidiness the checkmark, and select deactivate. Then delete.
Personally this was a bit too sensitive for me, but very cool concept.

You're right, I didn't follow those directions because I never saw them. Regardless, it still didn't work for me, and I wanted to let others know of a possible implication. I even mentioned that I was unsure if the result would be typical.

I use GotYa at the moment, and it doesn't work too well with CM9/CM10, but emails the photo to an email address of your choice with the location every time there is a security breach

Yes, it does works on custom roms. I have tried on a few custom roms and it worked fine. Hidden Eye does not email out photos at the moment, but you can sync the photos with dropbox so that you can view it on your computer. Images are stored in DCIM folder.

can we delete all the pictures rather then keeping the last 6?
was testing it alot and its always showing the last 6. wanted to clear them out once i got it right.
Please advise
Pictures do not save only shows the placeholder image. After you get this sorted out I have a suggestion for a possible feature. Automatic upload to drop box or to have the picture sent to a specified email. It would be great as a backup if the device was stolen. As we know the Nexus 7 does not have cell service so tracking it when lost would be difficult. That being said most thieves are going to try to unlock it once while still in a hotspot. This would make a great chance to capture their picture.

New update information
Hey guys I actually fixed a lot of stuff I did a lot of changes but some things are still delaying me from being able to release the new update.
Actually new update may be possible to be seen by the end of this week.
As long as I am working on it alone it is really hard for me and I am giving it, all the free time I have I spend a lot of nights on it.
So if you guys would be that kind please consider some small donation. I want to buy S4 to see how the things are going on it. Or an HTC One so I can test the app on powerful device and improve it more and faster. Or just buy me a coffee or a donut. Many thanks, many thanks.
I would really appreciate it and I'll give you credits in the OP
Note: If anyone made a donation, PM me. Thanks.
