Has anyone returned their phone through warranty because of edge/imei issue? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

So basically I restored my imei but nothing is still working I told T-Mobile it was overheating then it happened, they went through the whole trial and error process then sent me to tech support. They set me up to do a warranty exchange so I have to send it in, I bought this phone flat out, wondering If they could find anything even after resetting the Tripper and going back to stock? Thanks.

Error when checking for software update?

I keep getting some weird error like "server not available" and then I have to wait 24 hours to try again and then get an error. I know there's probably not an update but want to make sure there's not anything wrong with the phone. Anybody getting an error when checking for software update on AT&T GS3?
Yea me to

Yup. As long as everybody gets the error then we're fine. Issue would be if only some of us were getting it.

I have an ATT S3 and it says mine is up to date! If you guys continue to have an issue I would try a hard reset. You can dot his from your phone.
How do we do hard reset

Maybe AT&T has multiple update servers and only certain geographic areas has theirs up.

Thanks for being the Guinea pig. I'm just going to wait it out. I think their systems are probably not fully up. The phone isn't even sold in stores yet.

It said no firmware because there is no OTA firmware update at the time. Nothing to worry about. Let's see what's on your phone. Can you screenshot a pic of your build number, like this.

Hmm out of service, I'll double check if your IMEI has not been blacklisted. Hopefully guy didn't sell you a stolen or lost phone. If you are willing to flash a custom ROM, could help to.

I just wonder if a large part of this is people obtaining a warranty replacement on a service they bricked while standing to mod their phone?

I thought the bug only affected the quad core exynos chip set. I know I read that somewhere a few weeks ago.

Huh, not as bad as I thought then. Thanks for the clarification. Though my phone has been turning off randomly as I posted above, I can always just turn it back on, but its annoying when Im listening to music or waiting for a text with the screen off and the phone just shutdown for no reason.

That doesn't state the sudden death is only for the exynos versions. The article is more so for the security bug that was discovered on the exynos processors. Not really related to the sudden death bug. But ill buy it for now lol

That's what I heard to the quadcores 16gb ones, which are mainly the international ones, they mentioned that there were no claims for ones in the US.
Yes, this is for the International version only. Quit freaking out. If it affected us in any way, you would have seen a million posts about it.
My bell sgh-i747m had this issue, its weird that even different ROMs and customs roms, kernels, still does it. Didn't bother sending it for repair I just sold it cheap.

Help. Phone will not turn on at all

I'm new to the S3 and I have rooted a few devices previously. I just got my S3 yesterday. I rooted it with no issue. Installed a custom recovery with no issue and even installed a custom ROM (wicked v10) with no issue other than ,once the ROM booted up I had no data. I did some searching and found a firmware/modem zip that I thought might fix my issue. It said that it will only install on a T999 T-Mobile version of the S3. Good, so I install it. Well I have a T-Mobile S3 but mine is a T999L. Now my phone does nothing. Will not start will not boot into safe mode. Doesn't even have a LED when on the charger. Somebody please please help.. Thanks in advance

they can't know what's wrong since it won't run at all
so give it a try act like you don't know anything about phones and say i was just charging it
Update: I was able to return the bricked phone and get another phone. Lady tried to say I might have "over charged" the phone. I just shook my head and said wow! I never heard of that before.. Good to be back
