Which one is the VERY BEST/SPECIAL app for any typical UTILITY...? - HTC Wildfire S

Hi guys,
You can just share here the very best apps for any useful utility. So that others will make use of it. I Have installed 28 apps as of now.
The very best one is 'aScreenshot' app. Simply by pressing long the 'Search' key(Navigator) it takes a screen shot and stores it on SD Card. I Just like it.
Even on advanced devices today you have to press two keys (Power+Home) for a screenshot.

What apps do you use most?

What apps do you use most? The facebook/twitter widget is number one on my list for most used, but it has a lot of room from improvement. In the home skype gets used the most due to poor cell coverage. And outside I would say google nav is my most used. Even in areas I am familiar with I still use it for reference and incase I have a craving for that unknown restaurant the epic can show me the way.
I made a short video covering the homepage apps on youtube. I am too new to post a link...strange as I have post links before. Anyways go to youtube and look for kraisydave.

Rockplayer: best video player I've found so far
Titanium Backup: root only, a must have for backup up apps and app data
Picsay Pro: Add cool effects (and silly stuff too) to photos
Dolphin Browser HD: Works with Flashplayer hack to play Hulu

Shazam: Identifies songs
Google Books: similar to Kindle app (Google has its own store), but syncs your place in the books automatically via your Google account
Pandora and Slacker: customizable internet radio apps
Barcode scanner: scan bar and QR codes
Swype: the best touch screen keyboard. Get it by signing up for the beta: http://beta.swype.com/

★ Must have apps for your Moto G - Post your bestest bestest fav here...

Hi,
What are your must have apps and favorites for your Moto G. Post here and let us know what is nice, great, silly or just COOL!
Here are a few of my personal favs enjoy
------------------------------------------------------
NEWS APP - Flipboard Gorgeous flip and slide animations, excellent at compiling searched info into your very own personalized magazine
FILE MANAGER - File Manager (Explorer)
MUSIC - Poweramp (The king of the hill)
BATTERY WIDGET - Battery Widget Reborn (Includes proper battery % in the notification bar)
CLOCK - 3D Flip Clock (multi-touch programmable, weather, great look)
LAUNCHER - Nova (Not as flash as some launchers, but still great)
TEXT APP - 8SMS (Simple, crisp and clean, with nice clear pop up notification)
BARCODE SCANNER - ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner (Very quick at capturing scans and showing comparison prices on amazon etc.)
KEYBOARD - Google Keyboard (the swipe is gorgeous, it's quick and very very smart)
WALLPAPER APP - Zedge (includes ringtones and notification tones)
POWER CONTROL WIDGET - Power Toggles (Very customizable and quick)
SCREEN OFF - Screen Off and Lock (a great wee app I put on all my devices, touch and screen off) comes with various off animations but I always use retro tv
BEST COOL APP - Gravity Screen (automation at its coolest)
2nd BEST COOL APP - Light Flow Lite - LED Control (Set up different colours and flash rate and vibration for all your notifications)
LIVE TV (UK) - TVCatchup (Basically live UK tv channels BBC, ITV, C4 etc.. turns your phone into a portable tv)
PIE CONTROL - LMT (not verified for Moto G yet but I use it on my Nexus 5 and Note)
------------------------------------------------------
If I find any fabulous, new, must have apps I will post 'em here
MJ-12
I like Pulse over flipboard try it. ^_^
Google Newstand is pretty cool too.But it consumes too much data.
Sent from my MT27i using Tapatalk
Live Score Addicts and The Football App are pretty great for football freaks.
I also love Feedly (news content) and Swiftkey (probably the best keyboard). I also like Greenify very much, but it's unuseful now because we have no root on the phone.. (unless unlocking the bootloader which I don't want to do now).
What's the battery life like with all of these apps installed? Also, anyone try the Google Experience Launcher over Nova for their launcher?
I like the Google Now feature, especially with the feature to be able to say "Ok Google" at any time on your home screen. Gravity Screen also seems like it'd waste a lot of battery.
Lightflow has low utility as our devices only has the white led...
Sent from my Moto G
i use Chronus for clock, calendar and weather, it's a really good app
Here are some to start off:
ES File Explorer is my favorite file managing app
Airdroid
Dynamic Notifications is worth a try
Evernote
Pandora
TuneIn Radio
Dropbox
Skydrive
Skype
i'm agree, Airdroid is Awesome !
i forget a precious apps : Llama - Location Profiles to automatically activate/deactivate wifi, sound, or other things.
Android Reverse Tethering - Presently, you are required to connect / disconnect to a wifi signal before running this utility.
Must have apps on my Moto G :
1) ES File Explorer
2) Titanium Backup ( if rooted )
3) Skype
4) Mx Player
5) LiveScore
6) Winamo Pro ( for shoutcast )
7) PowerAmp for local music
8) Adobe Reader
9) Ebay
10) Flashlight
11) KitKat Launcher
For battery percentage you should use "battery overlay percent" it shows the % you have left as overlay on your original battery. :good:
I also like "Power schedule", for turning bluetooth etc. on and off. :fingers-crossed:
my all time list:
smart launcher,
bsplayer,
dropbox,
es file explorer,
jetaudio,
keep,
my cloud player,
quickpic,
skype,
stumbleupon,
tunein radio,
uberhype

Sofascore<<< I'm convinced that this is THE best football/score app there is with a modern android design.
I use a sound through wifi a lot and definitely the best pair are: AirBubble for receiving (paid, or otherwise a lot of noise after half an hour of use) and Aoa for transmitting the signal from my Android TV stick.

I have used
Mobi to slow the power drain, fantastic app
Kasperski for security Free with my bank
Mobiledit to edit
Skype
Ebay
Dropbox
NavFree as an bril sat nav.
One issue i do have is the lack of Flash player for this phone, i have tried all links to do with it, but no joy, any ideas?
Install Dolphin Browser, that has flash on it.

It did not work for me,
However,
Doing this worked like a charm.
Save the Flash player.apk to Google drive (this has filters and converters)
Once saved open from your device and hey presto it installs Flash player to your phone.
Apparently it will work this way on other apk files that don't install normally
i will try to find the link where i got the tip from.

Don't use Anti-virus and don't think you need one as long as you're not blindly installing apps
SDMaid and I don't think it's a placebo!
Nova Prime
Google Calendar
BetterBatteryStats and EX Kernel Manager battery info
Chrome
Android Messages (I hardly use SMS anyway so I didn't bother looking for alternatives) (WhatsApp is my main messaging platform)
Solid Explorer
Use my local bank's app for finance
Snapseed for photo editing
Don't use a video editor on my smartphone
Hope this helps!

Looks good. Accubattery is better for battery stats and the Samsung Internet Browser (really!) is the best browser. https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-internet-browser-android-793983/
For SMS's try this app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.android.smsorganizer&hl=en_IN
It automatically segregates most of the transaction/spam sms into separate bins and does a good job of it.
Best calendar IMHO is Business Calendar 2. Interface is much better than Google Calendar, more customizable, and syncs with Google Calendar flawlessly
I've been using the Norton junk cleaner for system and such, and manually cleaning the cache for the apps that get bad. Does sd maid do app cache cleaning too? I see it works with root. Also, is it worth it to get pro? Tell me more please!
I personally like AppMgr III (App Manager 3) for System/Cache Cleaner and, especially (but not applicable for taimen), if you have a device that employs an external sd card...
Kb: gboard or swiftkey
Antivirus/cache cleaner/batt monitor: not needed
Launcher: nova prime
Sms/contacts/calendar/dialer:stock
Email: outlook
Browser: chrome or samsung internet
File manager: solid explorer
Photo editor: tookwiz photo
Financial/video: dont use any
Password manager/auto fill: enpass
Doc scanner: camscanner
Todo list: ticktick and keep
Notes: onenote
Keyboard - Was a huge SwiftKey user and even did betas and forum moderating for them but now Gboard.
Antivirus - None
System / Cache Cleaner - None
Launcher - Nova Prime but currently Pixel Launcher until Nova updates to fully support Pixel Launcher features.
Calendar - Google Calendar
Battery Monitor - None
SMS, Dialer, Contacts - Stock ones
Browser - Chrome
File Explorer - Stock "Files" app in Android P; "Downloads" in Oreo.
Finance Management - Mint
Photo Editor - Google Photos, Aviary, Facetune
Video Editor - Google Photos
Ones not in your categories:
Instant messaging - Allo (Yes I have converted my family and closest friends to it)
Video chat - Duo
Fitness - Google Fit
Music - Google Play Music and iHeartRadio
To do - Google Keep
Sleep tracking - Sleep as Android
Forums - Tapatalk
