V6 tweak! - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

How can I use this tweak?

well i don't personally use it, but it might be a good idea to do some research.

If you are talking about the supercharger script...there is a whole thread dedicated by the developer.
Its is not a simple click and profit situation. Do some research and give it a shot on your phone.

I dont know if perhaps that post came off as condescending...but what is odd to me is that the OP asked about V6 tweak, and clearly has some limited knowledge about it, but chose to not read about it and instead wrote a one line post in a completely different forum.
OP should really do a quick xda search - so this way instead of pasting links for others we can test software and help debug/develop it - and maybe learn a new thing or two.

Then do yourself a favor.... Go back to stock, relock your bootloader and don't look back. If you've read the thread you would need to ask about it here. The first couple posts tell you everything and no one can answer your questions about it better than the dev. Yes, it will work with any android device. Some platforms have different things that need to be done than others (last I looked at it at least) and there are instructions and links for everything in the first few posts.

WTF?

I think this is for v6 supercharger

I've been using the v6 supercharger script on the gb energyrom for the past week or so. I've noticed a big difference...

I've used it a bit. Here are the full steps to get it to work.
1. Find the thread that the dev created for it.
2. Read the instructions there.
3. Download the required files and apps.
4. Follow the instructions that you read in step 2.
Sent from my ICS Dinc2
*Edit* Come to think of it those are the instructions that I use for just about everything I find on XDA.

I've used the supercharger script on the aeroevan's unofficial CM9 rom and macrodroid's ArcticICSed rom with no issues.
Warning....., if you installed the AndyBones tweaks for the Arctic rom (or Tazz's 3.6 ICS) and then run the Supercharger script, you will end up with a blank wallpaper and a reflash is needed to fix it. The Supercharger script will modify your build.prop and init.d scripts (plus install a S99 script) will may conflict with the tweaks program (the Rosie tweaks in the tweaks program include modded winfree values which may be the cause of the conflict).

I hate bringing up an old topic but didn't want to clutter with a new post I'm running aeroeven cm10 does the v6 improve it much I've been reading the main thread and it seems like a lot of mixed emotions on it my thing is the rom I'm running is really smooth and only gets laggy when too many tasks are running a simple task killer fixes it so my question is what do you guys think of it is it worth it or not and is there any draw backs and what addons are you running with it as I saw a lot of options with it I would normally just go for it without asking but with all the options and my current schedule I don't have time to really test everything out

Has anyone used V6 SuperCharger with TSM UKB II 1.3.1 with success?
I know one of the files were patched to work with it, but couldn't find any word of users using it within the OP.
"service.jar patched for v6 supercharger"
(i would have posted in the OP thread, but I don't have permission )
Can someone chime in that has used V6SC with the ROM in question?
Better yet... give me a "howto" for implementing it?
The V6 SuperCharger thread is pretty confusing for newcomers to that concept.
(note: I am not new to flashing and tweaking ROM's... been doing it for years  )
Thanks in advance!

[Tweak]INIT.D

Not sure as this belongs here or not, but I think this is the best place for it. This will allow you to add init.d to your phone without CWM. I got it working for me, so I hope everyone else will have the same fortune.
Requirements:
1.Root
2.Fully installed Busybox
3. Windows computer
Instructiions:
Download and run runme.bat

Added the CWM version to the OP - Quick instructions:
Put on your SD card or somewhere you can find on your phone and flash with CWM - done!
Files from his forum - Xperia S - has been edited to remove errors
Please note this will fail if any of the Busybox symlinks are not complete!

1. the 06dalvik script did not create /cache/dalvik-cache folder.
2. the 99test did not create any file in /data/local/tmp.

Mine is working, if you got some errors during the load process, I need to know.
If thing to do is check your symlinks and make sure that they are all there for busybox.
Use this to check your symlinks:https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsInN0ZXJpY3Nvbi5idXN5Ym94Il0.
If any one is missing, it could stop the install process.
On the thing about our kernel supporting init.d, the answer is not currently and that is why we have to use this program. It will allow compatibility with our kernel to have init.d.
The busbox is ok.
I can run it rom my terminal on the phone as well as adb shell.
There were no errors during installation.
Edit:
I ran the script again today.
The init.d works. the 99test did create a file in /data/local/tmp.

Running it at 50% is pretty good also. The script will at least zipalign, check for proper permissions on all apps, clean the delvik-cache, and reorganize the task manager priorities and also your ram manager settings. You should try the battery calibration script that is there also, it is really nice.

Script manager is easiest. Don't forget to use as root for all those scripts.
I did forget that it will also allow for a powershift, so you can change your settings on the fly if you need more multitasking capabilities than power savings or more power.

Sent from Rooted LT28at with ICS.
It does not look like the latest CWM that I put will be compatible with the extra mods, after I put the cwm together and flashed it bricked my phone. I have put my phone back to where it was before the modifications for the ICS supercharger (the service.jar and service.odex modded part) and works just fine without the additional mods, but I don't think I am going to try to mod the phone again (wife will get mad at me if I hard brick my phone).

Milan's .587 v2.1

I think I´m still a few posts shy of the 10 post magic limit. So I will post it here instead of the developer thread.
As I´m still very much a noob concerning android ROMS, kernels etc, I have a question regarding installation of this ROM.
More specific this line in the installation instructions:
4.Restore my CWM backup > restore system & data for Supercharger V6 optimisations full effect (don't worry, CWM backup is made after a clean restore, so data is clean except Supercharger V6 files)
What I did was reboot into recovery -> "backup and restore" -> "restore" -> choose Milan's .587 v2.1 backup.
Do I need to take additional steps to get it Supercharged?
How can I tell if its supercharged?
Run the SuperCharger script.

However now we are venturing into uncharted territory for me.
According to this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334834&highlight=install+supercharge
I need to install Script Manager and run the script. Is that correct?
If it is, the problem is the Supercharged script is not placed in the root of my SD card, as the guide descripes.
If anybody who have Supercharged enabled on Milan's .587 v2.1 could post a step by step guide, I would greatly appreciate it.
Anybody?
I would very much like to Supercharge this ROM.
The only guide I can find is the above mentioned and I´m not really sure it applies to Milan's .587 v2.1.
If you do a restore in CWM it restores both the system and data parts and will already be supercharged. I checked mine by running the supercharger script and it said 100% supercharged.

I have no clue to how Supercharger works.
So just for future reference, how did you check it?
I guess you use Script Manager. But do I need to import the script to run it or is it already placed on the phone since it is Supercharged?

Thank you for being a jerk about it.
I posted a link to guide showing how to install it. It seems it is already installed on my phone. So with my minimal knowledge of android phones, it seemed to me that it was an entirely different situation. That is why I asked.
If I had the time, I would not even have posted in the Q & A section in the first place. I would have figured it out by myself. As I prefer to do it on my own. However, as my time is very limited, I thought my problem fitted the criteria of the Q & A section. Compared to a lot of the other posts, I don´t think my request is especially outrageous.
However you seem to think I´m asking for to much. Why I have no idea. Maybe you just like being an elitist jerk. Nobody forced you to answer. If you thought me being to demanding, you could just have ignored my post.
I will withdraw my question and leave the Q & A to more apparently suited questions.

This thread is meant for people with questions regarding my Kitkat ROM.
Why did I create this thread?
I want to keep my Development thread clean.

Some examples;

"Does supercharger work with this rom?"
"Where are you from?"
And so on...
Feel free to help each other out! And please, stop posting about this in the development thread.

I had it installed on P11. You have to patch services.jar (there's a windows tool to do it for you here).
I had a lot of freezing problems before and after installing it. They weren't the same after I installed it; not necessarily better, just different. I have no way of knowing if it was supercharger or an app or some sort of interaction between two or more things.
I'm on 3.1.0p1 now and I have no intention of using supercharger because my Desire is more responsive and better at multitasking now than it ever was on Gingerbread with supercharger.
sorry to ask what exactly is/does supercharger?

I can't say, I don't use my desire. But.. If someone else here were to install Netflix (No need to login, just try to start) that'd be great.
Get me a logcat and I'll see what I can do.

adb logcat > netflix.txt <press enter> and start netflix. then upload it somewhere (like pastebin?)
I would ask for Aroma Installer with which we can be able to choose between different scripts (A2SD and INT2EXT) and misc.
And....what about trying Cyanogenmod settings to be able to customize even further?

Well.. That's Cyanogenmod and not Evervolv.
Hi Nikez, Just curious, any reason you use a2sd and not other scripts (d2ext, int2ext etc)? Speed, stability? So people won't ask and try other alternatives as you as dev explain the benefit.
By any chance, did anyone try endomondo on the new p1 release? On p11 I had a problem that every time I tried viewing the map, the phone froze.. not sure if it was some issue with gapps. Anyone hit anything similar?
@nikez thanks for the awesome JB ROM. My Desire is still kicking along after nearly 2.5 years!
I have just installed the latest update 3.0.0p11, flashed the 4.1.2 version of google apps (gapps-jb-20121011-signed) and setup app2sd.
When I view the available space using Titanium Backup I only have 36.8kB free in System Rom partition. Is that normal on stock Hboot?
Also, I installed the latest Google Calendar update from the Play Store. I now have two calendar apps installed. Has anyone else tried this yet? Do I need to remove the other one from /system?
I would like to thank you deeply for this amazing ROM. I've been searching a perfect rom for a long time, but I think I am very close to end my search now while using your ROM. Very fast, very versatile, almost stock ROM. I love simplicity and this is absolutely perfect.
The only problem I had was a problem with camera - I know this is an annoying issue with many ROMs and it's probably not very well made in the Android itself. Do you think it will get better? I understand that it probably does not depend on you, but I believe this is the last thing that is truly missing to your ROM. (But I am no power user, just a casual user).
And again, thank you for (imho) the best Jelly Bean ROM available here, and I am seriously considering a donation. Keep up the good work!

Why do you need to zip align every time.Need to zipalign an app only once.
anyways here is the script.
Unzip it and copy it to /system/etc/init.d and give it executable permissions. Look at the permissions of the other script and make this one the same.
For V6 supercharge ... look into the V6 supercharg post for guide.
There are lots of ROM creating Guides. Just search in XDA forums and you will get plenty.
What you dont understand is that its not so simple to follow a guide to make your own rom, because then its not really yours. Start off with getting someones else's rom and doing little mods to it. Just think: what would make the rom better? Say for example yopu might do some speed improvements, then maybe beats audio, then maybe some android 4.2 apps, etc. Once you have enough new things then you can make your own thread.
PS: googling stuff always helps

Then what are stock based roms? Look at UHD, sparta charge, x gamer, acroniam, jelly sandwhich. They're just stock that's been modded, tweaked and rooted.
But they´re still defferent to a stock rom with some mods of the modding section.
U cant pick 5 mods and call it a new custom rom.
Check out the ROM "cyano bean" its a entirely different ROM to cm10 yet look at my quote:

I wanted to share the ROM I put together for my own personal use (so I didn't have to flash lots of individual things) and wanted to share it with the community, as it is a very fast ROM (no thanks to me)
So to start with I am no developer, I have not made any of the things included in this ROM apart from adding a few tweaks to the build.prop
I merely compiled lots of different things and put them into this in the hope people in the community will enjoy

Patched services.jar

Hi everybody. I need help. I've been looking unsuccessfully for the longest time. I discovered BLN in the play store and I emailed the developer and he said I need to get a patched services.jar to use BLN with the stock messaging app. I've been trying to find out where I can find a patched services.jar for my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 (T989). I want to get a patched services.jar so i can use BLN support with the stock messaging app. I found some stuff, but that didn't work out too well. If someone could please help me I'd very much appreciate it. Thank you much  :good:
