You can't make a ftf from a modified system, that's why you can't root so easy. (I guess hehe).

I got the same problem with KING-DANO.....

Oops, That is my mistake. Sorry.
There is a bug in "cwm-install.sh"
It fails to make /system/bin/charger.
Please try to install "fix_charger_for_Z.zip" with CWM.

[ROM][XS][JB] .200 Just Deodexed + Zipaligned + Root + Busybox stock World Generic.

As in title, this is just a deodexed + zipaligned + root + busybox stock World Generic.
Before flashing as any other ROM keep sure system is unmounted or you'll get Error status: 7
If you are not coming from a JB ROM you MUST wipe your DATA!
It might be useful for developers and modders
Link: http://dfiles.eu/files/i3galgtki or http://uploaded.net/file/tkpkpqae
Original .ftf: http://dfiles.eu/files/bh6inz1bp or http://uploaded.net/file/ijaessju
Installing on Locked Bootloaders:
To install this ROM you just need a working recovery and flash it like any other ROM. But after installig the ROM you will need a JB kernel! So just flash the kernel from any JB .ftf with flashtools
Installing on Unlocked Bootloaders:
Install it from any JB kernel with a recovery, this wont rewrite your kernel

im looking for that error and uploading the prerooted one
PD: anyone else getting that error?
PD2: thats a typical error when the system partition has no info or build.prop, the script makes sure that you are flashing on the correct device, the solution is simple, flash system partition from the FW with flashtool and then try again with my rom
File updated, now it's Deodexed, Zipaligned, Rooted and busybox installed. It also has a new updater script to avoid some errors while installing.
Enjoy

Hmm, just download it, extract the updater script on metainf/com/google/android and with notepad delete the line:
"format("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p14", "0", "/data");"
then compress it again and install it.
By doing this you delete the line that wipes all the data and you will keep all your apps, data, etc.

have you done a full wipe before you flash the ROM.
Is your ROM root and has a cwm /tarp ?
Is your ROM stock without root , make a factory reset by settings,
than I think is the best flash a recovery cwm or tarp and root your tab by Odin.
make a backup by cwm and than flash the kids tab ROM with odin again.
I hope that was helpful.

You might want to try to replace the 2105 init*.rc with 210 init*.rc and just change the services started at boot. You can also try flashing stock ramdisk over the 2105 firmware, probably won't work but worth a try...

You backup your original ROM from Phils recovery. There is BACKUP option or BACKUP to ExtSD card. Mind you that it might take a lot of space like from 1.5Gb to 5Gb depending on the number of apps you have installed...

Hi, just do the following:
1. On recovery: do a data wipe/factory reset.
2. Wipe cache partition.
3. On advanced, wipe dalvik cache.
4. On mounts and storage, format sd card ( internal, not your external 'cause that's where you'll store the new rom to flash and your backups).
5. Format system
Finally, once you begin phoenix atoma installer, on the process it'll ask you if you want to super wipe or something like that, just say yes...and that's it. Good luck. Of this helps, click the thanks button. Happy new year.

Yeah, that'll do. But if I were you, I'd go for a 16 or even 32gb, it's worth it. Believe me, 8gb is nothing storing pics of your camera, some music, backup files an .apk's you normally use.

I think that in Philz there is an option "prepare for new ROM flash", that erases everything needed.
Also, mind that Phlis v6.x is incompatible with some AROMA installers, so it is better to use v5.x

If you're now on 4.1.2 - you are on OLD bootloader. You have to flash it separately from the ROM. You can either remain on your OLD bootloader and flash Dr. Ketan's Wifi patch or flash new bootloader, MJ5 recommended, because it doesn't have KNOX. So, 1st flash MJ5 bootloader and then flash ROM.

This is the thread for your C6503:

Would you be able to create a stripped FTF?
Nevermind, it's in your flashable file.
Thanks.

You need to download these ones:
Flashable ZIP (with root)
Part 1: http://d-h.st/RFl
Part 2: http://d-h.st/ujl

I believe if you only flash the zip through cwm, you will be stuck in a bootloop, you will need to flash the kernel too using flashtool.

Sorry for the questions. New to Sony phone's. So would the best way be to flash zip in cwm and then turn off phone then use flashmode and flash kernal.sin?

Thanks. I went back to the .423 build (4.2.2) so I could root and already got a notification for the .244 update. Do I download (and install) the update?
Afterwards, is the procedure the same?:
1 - Put 'Flashable.101.zip' on (the external) SDcard1;
2 - Put '10.4.1 .B.0.101_Stripped.ftf' inside the Flashtool/firmwares folder;
3 - Create a backup of your phone in TWRP and don't forget to backup the contents of 'SDCard' (the internal storage!);
4 - Flash 'C65XX_10.4.1.B.0.101.flashable.zip' in TWRP;
NOTE: do not reboot but go back to the main menu, then go to reboot->power off;
Flash everything in 'C65XX_10.4.1.B.0.101_Stripped.ftf' using flashtool;
Reboot to system.
Thanks.

After rooting 4.2.2, you need to update to 4.3 10.4.B.0.569 using this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2567266
Then proceed with .101.
Went straight to .101.... no problems whatsoever, but thanks for the advice.

That's exactly it, just flash that stripped FTF and you're done. (after flashing the zip through cwm obviously)

Just flash the stock FTF if you need to come back to stock. It will be back to full stock without root or recovery if that's what you need. Use Flashtool to flash in Flashmode
If you flash my zip through cwm and did nothing else than that's probably why you cant boot, just flash the stripped FTF via flashtool. you probably cant boot becoz of your custom Kernel.
I am currently on the eXistenZ Rom with Android 4.2.2. I have root and CWM installed.
Can I flash this straight on top? Is it only a zip for CWM and nothing else? Would I keep root if I flash this?
Thank you in advance.

I came from pac man rom and was able to do a full wipe, flash zip in cwm, and then turn off phone and use flash mode to flash the ftf kernal. Kept root and zero issues so far. Some one please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure you can do the same thing.
