Taking pics while recording video NOT working with SD Card - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Taking a picture while recording works fine if I let the camera save to my internal memory. However, if I choose the external card, it will act like it's taking the pic while recording, but it doesn't save the pic. It saves the pic, but not the video. Again, it all works fine if I save to internal memory. Is this problem my SD card or the phone? I've noticed this problem on stock and two other custom roms. Thanks for any help.

[Q] recording 720

Hi i wonder iff anyone can help i have recorded a few test videos in 720p with this phone and they save to the phones internal memory>This will become a problem iff i want to record anything larger as it will run out of space and i cannot see a setting where the video can be saved to sd card unless i am missing something obvious it seems internal is the default video and photo place to save.Any help appreciated.
Click the setting button (in orange color as shown in the screenshot), you'll see the options to save to storage card or phone storage

D855 - Videos stuttering and gallery slow

Hey,
I've encountered problems with my G3.
1. Recording videos is fine, but the final video file is mostly always broken. Only the first 2 seconds are playable or the video stops and you can only hear sound. Tried to play around with the capture settings but I always get the same result.
2. When I go into my gallery, thumbnails load reeaaaally slow and loading the big image is even slower. Sometimes photos are shown as broken but they worked fine a few minutes ago.
I didn't apply any mods to the camera. All I got is root and lower DPI. (560)
Do you have any suggestion how to fix this? Can my SD Card be a possible reason for this?
regards
Probably your sd. Back up your data and reformat it using the phone.

99.99% the problem is your SD card.
Just try : take it out and record a video and see if it was recorded correctly.

Camera taking long to save photo to gallery.

Whenever I take a photo, it takes a good 1-2 seconds before the photo is saved to the gallery. If I close the camera app before it's saved(when i see it show up in the gallery shortcut of the camera), the photo does not save.
Is this a LG thing or what?

Click to collapse
G6 was pretty slow like that, and I know I had SD card issues too. Are you saving your pictures to your SD card?

same issue for me - no SD card weird
Yeah I tried both storage options and both just as slow. Though with SD card I also had a problem of it saying unable to save to SD card..... a restart of the phone fixed that problem.

The problem with the use of the SD card after updating Android 9

Need advice ! After last update, the camera saves a photo to the SD card for a very long time (when switching to internal memory, everything is OK), when you click on a video recording, it takes about 5 seconds until it starts to record.
