GSM extended battery case - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Seeing as how the sticky is still blank for GSM extended battery, I'm hoping I can get an answer here. I'm looking at this case on ebay. I have the 2000Mah OEM extended battery and want to know if it will fit well. Does anyone have any experience with this case, or can recommend another inexpensive case that will fit my Gnex with the extended battery?

Go with these:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...alaxy+nexus&sprefix=androidified+gala,aps,191
They're sturdy, come in a variety of colors, fit the extended battery and you can show off your android love.

Diztronic matte. Better feel than the cruzerlites and they dont have the cheesy android on the back.

+1. If you want cheap and good looking, pick up a Diztronic case.

Like you, I am also wondering this question, but more specifically about thin hard shell cases.
I had a Case Mate Barely There case that I put on for 5 minutes with the standard battery. I was so loose I think it would have worked with the OEM extended battery, but I'm still waiting on that to be delivered and the case was so slick it was like trying to hold a heavily oiled piece of glass. ( I had the white case, which may have been the reason it was so slick because I have a black Barely There case on my Samsung Vibrant and it has much more grip. I wish that was the case with the white one.)
Right now I'm waiting on a S Line Wave TPU case to come in to hold me off while I do more research, but I can't seem to find any specific reviews or testimonials referring to certain hard shell thin cases, like the Incipio Feather, Case Mate Barely There, and Ringke Rearth, would work with the OEM Extended battery on the GSM Gnex. I've heard rumors and whispers in the wind that if you get the Verizon LTE Version of the Ringke Rearth case it may work, but I have been unable to confirm this.
It's a little annoying that there is enough of a difference between the GSM and Verizon versions, along with there being a difference in the sizes of these phones with their extended batteries. That makes 4 different phone sizes, and many many companies just say, "Will fit both GSM and Verizon models."
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I own the diztronic case, Ringke slim and cruzerlite. I don't have a favorite since they all have their cons. Feel free to ask questions...

Diztronic is the only case I buy now. Regardless of phone. They are amazing.

I'm using a diztronic case for my GSM Nexus with OEM extended battery. Can't beat it for its price and quality. No complaints here. I was using SGP Neo Hybrid before but the rubber back sagged just after 2 months.of use. I think this is partly because I used it with the extended battery.

For your Ringke slim, did you order the lte version so it would fit with the gsm + extended battery? If so, how does it fit? Does it give that very very minor lip like a gsm Ringke on a gsm with standard battery? And what color is it? I'm looking at the White one but I'm worried the finish will be slippery and different from the other colors. I've had a case mate barely there on a Samsung vibrant and it was a nice slightly grippy finish, but the white barely there case for my gnex was very slippery it was returned the day I got it.

I'd suggest the Mercury case + extended battery from shimshop:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SAMSUNG-GOO...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item61cf74cb60
IMO much better design, color selection and durability than the other TPUs mentioned and fits GSM extended battery no problem.

If I didn't just get my SLine Wave TPU case I would have been all over this. Has a white one with cutouts for all the buttons, which I prefer. But alas I'm looking for a hard case..for some reason I don't love the TPU one as much. Chalk it up to personal preference, I suppose.

cases w/ extended battery

Anyone know which cases are confirmed to fit the extended battery?
Otterbox Defender series works great one mine.
Are there any cases that don't double the bulk of the phone that will fit correctly? Maybe a TPU case?
I got the Incipio Sycrillic case with mine. The extended battery doesn't really add that much bulk so the case still fits.
How much longer would the battery last? About double or so I would guess?
The extended battery is 2100 mAh, so it should give about 25% - 30% more usage time. The battery adds hardly any bulk to the device. It fits with the Otterbox Defender series (a tight fit but it works), any silicone case, and the Incipio Double Cover that Verizon sells. It does not fit with Verizon's Shell Holster Combo (with the kick stand).

25%-30%?
I think it's more like 13-14%%
25% of 1850mAH is 462mAH (so 2312mAH total) and this is only 2100mAH...
Supposedly the TPU cases still work on this.
I'm looking for one of those barely-there TPU cases for the GN. It's too thin and the extended battery doesn't even thicken it up, plus its slippery.
ebay
im pretty sure ebay will have them for like 5 or 6 dollars.. thats where i normally get my external wall chargers from they get the job done

How do you like the Incipio Case? Does it add alot of bulk? Does it add alot of weight?

Barely there is by Casemate, TPU is a company now named Ditztronic. Or, does Casemate Barely There use TPU (the material) as a case.
I read a review about the Barely There that siad it doesn't actually cover the whole phone, so if you drop it on the bottom, there is no protection. That was deal breaker.
What about the commuter series? My defender is too bulky
This sucks... one major reason for buying the phone was due to it's lightweight thin build.. and I can't really seem to find a case that leaves the phone thin and light..
I really like the Verizon shell/holster combo but it doesn't fit the extended battery
May have to risk going naked

Fuhhh.. are you serious? I ordered the extended battery hoping that it would fit the shell/holster set. I like it because it's simple and has a kickstand that I want to use. So the shell doesn't snap onto the gnex?
Correct.. just barely doesn't fit. That's exactly why I like it.. not too thick and it has the kickstand if I need it

Thanks.. i guess i'll sell this and find another case..
I like the trident cases personally. I know that they are going to be releasing one mid january, but do you guys think that with the extended it will fit?
So the incipio feather case wont fit with the extended battery? I had imagined the 1-2mm would make it a tighter fit but the impact would be negligible - can someone confirm that with the extended battery it indeed wont fit?
CaseMate barely there fits fine with the extended battery. The incipio silicrylic fits, but has a slight gap at the sides where the hard plastic fits over the silicone.

Why don't you get a skin? They're tricky to put on and really only offer scratch protection, but probably better than nothing.

The absolute thinnest case i can buy is...?

I really dont want to use a case for my phone, but i need one to use it on my car dock.. which requires me to stick a piece of metal on my phone so i can attach it to a magnet in my car (Tetrax x-way if anyone is wondering). So im looking for the thinnest case i can buy... I dont even really need it to protect my phone, i just want the thinnest layer possible.
Any recommendations?

Yeh ringke case slim and if you get it in metallic it blends in with the phones colour and its like you don't have a case on the phone, I love mine.

Best case in that regard is the Diztronic TPU case. It's the thinnest TPU case I've found that actually fits properly. Don't buy anything else, trust me.
If you want to go thinner, I have a CaseMate Barely-There. With the Standard battery COVER (still using the extended battery) it will fit 98% with a small gap at the bottom.
Personally I like the Diztronic v3 Glossy Black for $8. I didn't like the Matte. Glossy blends in better with the screen and looks sexier.
If you want to try the CaseMate, I'll sell it for $15 (normally $25). It's a Matte Black.

The matte has a gloss lip around the screen. The matte also doesnt show fingerprints and grease like the gloss, so I would say the matte is def the way to go.
If you want thin with ext batt and lte phone, go with cruzer lite. Plus they are cool. Read throughout the thread too for feed back other than mine.

Trident Aegis, Casemate Tough or Incipio Silicrylic?

Hi everyone. I'm currently looking to buy a new case and I'm interested in one of the following:
- Trident Aegis
- Casemate Tough
- Incipio Silicrylic
I honestly don't know which one to buy. I use a GSM Nexus with the 2000mah battery. Can anyone give me some suggestions or opinions on these cases?
Anyone?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Never used the Aegis on my nexus just the kraken case but I like how the silicon is thicker then most others and the poly carbonate also seems stronger/more supportive. just go into a store and try them on your phone and see how you like them.
I'm using the Aegis now and love it. It was either this or the otterbox commuter. What sealed the deal for me was the included screen protector. The trident aegis includes a full size protector, where as the otter box gives you one that only covers a portion of the screen. Not sure why they did that, but they lost a sale with me. Not regretting the Aegis purchase one bit.

None of those. I recommend the Case-mate POP case. It fits very well with the extended battery cover and it's fairly easy to put on and take off. You can probably find the white ones at Sprint stores. It was the first case I bought and I haven't even bothered looking around for another...and I usually buy many cases.

Actually I forgot to mention that I currently use the pop case and I like it a lot but as you mentioned I also buy a lot of cases and those three caught my attention.

I would not recommend the Silicrylic. The silicone layer of the case is WAY too flimsy. When I swipe from left to right and hit the side of the case, the silicone moves because its so flimsy. The case I got also didn't really fit correctly. The top layer was curved so it there was space between the two layers.

The Ballistic case looks pretty good too, I'd look into that. I personally use the Trident Kraken; though I understand many will not like it for it's thickness.

I know how you feel. Sometimes you just have to try another case.
But I have checked out a bunch of video reviews for other cases and I have seen that the ones that have 2 parts, like the ones you mention, usually don't fit the phone as well when it has the extended battery installed. I guess it's the nature of the design. That would probably apply to the Ballistic as well, same concept.
If I had to choose between the three, I would go with the Aegis as that's the only one I have seen that fits the extended battery well enough.
One thing I have found that helps is to look at cases that were designed for the Verizon/Sprint versions of the Galaxy Nexus as they are already thicker so should fit the GSM model w/ ext. battery better.
Ultimately, the decision is yours but that's just my 2 cents. Good luck.
A little ingenuity can go a long way. Check out the little mod I did to my sylcrilic case.

That's definitely an interesting mod, but I feel it only fits with the extended battery cover because all that silicone was cut out.
Question though, where can you get that carbon fiber adhesive? Is there anywhere "in-store" that it can be purchased? I would like to check out the "texture" before buying.
Probably. I ordered 6ft roll off Amazon for $30. And it is the legit 3m vinyl. Its super slippery. I tried it on my battery cover and it led to many close calls. But then I put the cut to fit zagg invisible shield over that and it is awesome.

Extended Battery Case

Anyone knows if this case http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJxKfDsihus&feature=plcp is compatible with gsm galaxy nexus extended battery?
Can you please suggest me the best slim case for extended battery ?
The extended battery pack will arrive next week but my SGP Ultra Hybrid i think that will not be compatible.
Subscribed. I would also like to know this. I have a gsm extended battery that should arrive next week and I don't think my cheap tpu case will fit.

And this thread:

It does not fit with the extended battery. The second thread is stickied at the top of this section and is a great guide for finding the right case for you.
Damn that sucks it looks pretty bad ass
I own one and to be honest I'm not that impressed. Looks good and is very minimal but wouldnt really protect the device in case of a drop.
I use the dizitronic tpu on most days and have an incipio sylicrylic for days that I'm out and want more protection. The dizitronic doesn't add much bulk but provides some protection. Incipio is a dual layer case and a little more bulky but my phone is well protected when inside of it.

Case compatible with 3000 mAh official battery

I have a Galaxy S3 (i747) with the new Samsung branded 3000 mAh battery, but I need a case. The Otterboxes do not fit, and IDK if the Incipio will (I had incipio before my old GS3 was lost). Which cases will definitely fit this new size?
Seidio Active
By leaving the back cover off the phone this one will fit. It has a hard plastic outer shield for the back so it offers plenty of protection. Works for me until a made to order case comes out. I had the kickstand model first. I think it sucks. Would not hold the phone vertical, was ugly and it bulged too much. That be my opinion.
nothing else?
i have the same problem.. someone solved it?
are not there any case for the original 3000 battery ?

thanks for the info ill' call my london friend.
I have this battery + the Diztronic. The case fits perfectly and is very well done. It is available via Amazon or through the Diztronic site.
There is a long thread about this battery here but you have to go through the entire thread to find the cases that work. Mentioned as cases that fit: the Zoogue Social, the Eclipse, the Case-Mate Emerge Smooth, the Urban Armor Gear case (if you do not use the included battery door), and the "fake Spigen Neo Hybrids" from sunsky. Others have modded the Otterbox Commuter and the Invero Hard Plastic Bumper case (from amazon UK).
I have ordered some cheapo silicon cases that I hope are stretchy enough to work with the extended battery as I would like some more colorful options.
Anyone know which case this is?
