Slow performance and 1 core use only - LG Nitro HD

Hello Guys!
I just noticed one thing on my Lu6200 that Only one core is being used. I had system tuneup pro installed and it was showing one core offline and other was working.
Secondly I installed Ski Safari game and I have that game on ipod 3 and on Galaxy Skyrocket but performance on Lu6200 is quite slow. Lagging and lose of frames.
I was wondering if someone else is having same issues. Or if someone on some other rom and not facing issues? I am using rom from chuyennho184. So far its very stable, call logs working , sms with 160 limit working. nothing bothering me just the performance....
So can anyone check and lemme know if they are having same probs?
Thanks

Is that not by design? Improve battery by shutting down a core if it's not needed?

I re-flashed my rom and then re-installed game from different source and the problem with slow down in that app is gone now...

now slow performance is back again ... wondering what caused it.... :S

Maybe that is already a ROM bug or issue. Ive experienced like that with my previous phone LG 2X having a they call "Memory Leak" as time passes by from normal usage....

[Q] Gameboid lag on ICS

So I recently unlocked my bootloader and have been trying various roms; however, whenever I try an ICS rom, I always experience framerate lag on gameboid (with sound on). FPSE and N64oid seem to run at full speed. I've have tried overclocking as well, but I still experience the same lag. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this, or should I just go back to GB?

Thanks, I tried that and the video lag is gone, but now the audio seems very glitchy and jumpy. Is that supposed to happen?
I've noticed this as well, but haven't put any thought into it being caused by ICS. I'll play with some settings and see what I can find out.

Setting frameskip to automatic mode & 1, fixes audio lag for me and doesn't seem to affect video

B*tch please, Gameboid can't even start a game on FXP116 CM9! Please tell me what rom are you using
Anyways setting frameskip to 0 or sometimes even automatic often fixes "emulator lag" in every device that can run one (PC, PSP, etc.), at least for me.

The framerate is fixable with the frame skip, but the sound will always experience that distortion. The better your CPU and RAM, the better the sound is processed, but overall it's difficult to get rid of the sound problems.
I use a Galaxy S 4g and I still get those sound issues.

That's funny, because FXP has only released 115 CM9 for the Play so far. Expect 116 later today, though, unless you compiled one yourself.

Well the sound works perfectly fine on CM7, but on CM9 it gets very glitchy. I'm assuming it's because how much of a ram hog ICS is.

WRONG! Stock official ICS isn't actually a ram hog or battery hog, but other unofficial builds for some phone models are. For example, CM9 experiences battery drain and consumes half of the ram for Sony Xperia devices and others while it does not for some other phones, then there's the official Sony ICS beta for the Xperia devices built separately for each one, which runs smooth, and has its own problems, like broken wifi indicator.
tl;dr: If you are going to blame someone, it's the ones who built CM9 for your device, not Google, AOSP or your carrier.

But in general, ICS is more resource intensive than GB will ever be, so even stock ICS (IMO) probably wouldn't run as efficiently as say CM7. (I might be talking out my ass, but this is the conclusion I've come to from user experience)
Edit: Also, my gameboid games are starting fine on CM9
This is what I did to fix the problem.. Turn your data connection off and the emulator will run a lot smoother

i flashed that kernel just last week, and yeah at first its laggy but when i think the engine heats up it will boost your phone, i also complained about laggyness to yewsiong since he was the one who got the tutorial for flashing a kernel, i even ask him how to revert my kernel back to normal, but after a few hours i tried again and its smooth, it lags a bit but not as laggy as the stock kernel. maybe there are some apps or you put too much on your phone memory that causes the lag.

hello guys,
i've been successfully flashed my kernel this morning, from cow kernel into the xxlm8 kernel. But i got a same problem like fayosi said, this kernel makes my phone run very laggy. I'm not very shock with this condition coz i've already read this thread before, and referring to the kemaro30 explanation above, it will laggy in the beginning. So i let my phone and wait with very patience.
But now, it's almost 6 hours since i flashed this kernel but still no improvement progress in my phone performance. Still very laggy
how long should i wait?? or, should i re-flashed my kernel?? any ideas or solution maybe..??
thanks n regards

Its not laggy anymore like 18hours after also try to turn the phone off take out battery then put in on again------if that dont work you can wipe cache and dalvik cache. My 3d games does not lagg anymore after this xxml8 is working fine now.

maybe you should check your cpu or use some application that can tweak your phones performance,, btw i use ram manger pro and always set to balanced. i also use advanced task manager to autokill apps that the phone really doesn't need.. and i use stock rom, never tried on other rom. and one more thing, i think my phone took about a day or more than 24hrs before i notice that its not laggy anymore.
here's what i experienced before to let you know http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26780650&postcount=53

Hi guys, first thanks for your some ideas n solutions to me.
And after read both of comments above, i think i know what is cause this problem.
I found that i was using the powersafe governor as my main governor, really my bad at all !!!
Now, with ondemand governor it runs very smooth with no lag, and tomorrow i will give my review about this kernel.
Once again, many thanks for your help guys

[Q] Sprint SGS3 help

hello and thanks to anyone reading this.
Ok so I've searched what feels like a million places and finally am comming here as a last resort. I will try to be detailed in everything i have tried up to this point so sorry if this gets a little long. I hope this clears up problems on this phone for anyone else with similar issues.
So the problem is that i am experiencing major lag on this phone. Let me specify. Mostly during games, which some are unplayable. Now that being said, I have not tried many games but here are some specific ones that have had some problems:
Nova 3 (which I am unsure of compatibility due to mixed reviews), The lag makes the game unplayable, online and offline
Modern Combat 4 (lag isnt too bad but still makes the game hard to play and not fun),
Shadowgun Deadzone had a wierd blur effect which made it unplayable --- fix : I had tried chainfire which fixed it but also disabling hardware overlays fixed this issue --- this is just some background info maybe it helps maybe it doesnt.
I have even noticed some lag on vector, a non graphicaly intense 2d game.
Some lag occurs even on the home screen as well (mostly when the device is first turned on and the home pages have not been loaded into ram yet, but this still shouldn't happen).
I know this phone has a weaker graphics chip and processor than the international version, but with the adreno 225 and the snapdragon s4, this device should be able to play these games and not lag on the home screen.
specifics: power saving mode is not turned on, I have tried to disable hardware overlays and force gpu but neither did any good (execpt shadowgun listed above). I have tried rooting and installing chainfire, this didnt fix the lag. I am on stock android 4.1.1 right now (rooted).
This phone is nearly new, about 2 months old.
So I guess my next step would be to overclock? does anyone think this would help? My point was that this phone stock should not have these problems and maybe I just got a bum phone.
Ok so thats the main problem, another, I have recently experienced battery drain. With all radios off, the phone not used (in my pocket, turned off) I am experiencing about 8-10 % drain per hour. - I dont know if this is normal but if any suggestions please let me know. While in use (browsing internet) I get about 40 -50 % drain per hour.
Thanks again to anyone for reading or providing help. Any suggestions are appriciated.
After I used my S3 for a few months, maybe 3 or 4, I also began to experience great lag and choppy performance. I was disliking the bad battery and the general slowness of the ROM so I flashed another ROM. I would suggest you flash an AOSP ROM such as the M snapshot of CM10.1 and see if that runs any smoother. I noticed a huge battery life increase and a much better performance. If you still have lag issues after an AOSP ROM, you most likely have a problem not related to the ROM. If you find an increase in performance with the AOSP ROM, but you prefer Touchwiz, look for a different custom ROM that is Touchwiz based. These ROMs will likely have a smoother performance and a better battery life than stock ROMs. Also, about your battery drain issue go to Settings > battery and see what is using a lot of the percentage.

Alright thanks for the help everyone. The solution is that Gameloft did not optimize this game for this phone. So change the buil.prop, and the game runs like butter. For anyone wondering, the solution is to edit build.prop and change the:
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus --- delete watever you have and type in "Galaxy Nexus"
ro.product.brand=google --- be sure this is lower case.
Thanks again. I hope someone finds this useful
(as for battery life, I dont know whats wrong)

Where is the build.prop located? And what else might might be effected by changing it?

The build.prop is located at /system/build.prop
The only things that would might be affected (for this specific build.prop change) are other apps that read your device name / type, such as the play store
The play store would be affected in that it would show more apps possibly, and apps compatible with the nexus
I think it crosschecks your device name against other stuff too though, so dont quote me on that

[Q] laggin problem with nexus 7 2

Hi all, i just bought my nexus 7 2013. Eavreything is smooth fast and cool but i noticed now 3 times that after power use( playing game, web browsing, multitasking with tablet) it goes slow amd laggy. Eaven touch press get deleyed for half second.
Tried to clear ram, but only reboot it seems to help.
Anyone have same probs? And how to fix that or?
P.s. im stil on stocl rom 4.4.2 nonrooted but i'll probalby root it soon, so any idea how to fix that lagg?
Not sure friend but if you are rooting i recommend cleanrom as it has no problems at all and a custom kernel like glitch. Both work excellent for me

Clash of clans choppy

I have the D852 on Rogers and clash of clans is a bit choppy in fact it ran better on my S3 I just upgraded from. Does anyone else find this? It runs like butter on my galaxy tab s 10.5 but not so much on my phone.
Thanks

It runs quite smoothly here (D852 as well). Do you have stuff running in the background? Might be low on memory/free ram.
I am running stock and this may be a noob question but I dont see where to free up memory besides closing all the apps running. I see you are running a different kernel and debloated maybe I would have better luck if I were to do the same.

Perhaps but it ran just fine before I tweaked it.
Was it like that from installation or did it get choppy over time?
Ya it has done it right from the get go maybe it's a limitation of the phone but I wouldn't think so as the specs are pretty good

It isn't. Have you tried clearing its cache? Or even reinstalling?
If nothing helps, you can look into a custom kernel (make sure to flash one for stock d852). But it shouldn't been needed for it to run smoothly.
To check your memory, go into settings>apps or menu key on home screen.
Thanks 2.1 gig used 237 meg used by lg health alone maybe I need to trim some fat. I grabbed this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamebench.metricscollector it records cpu gpu and fps info while you play the game and the graph is showing about 50fps which should be fine but it doesn't look like 50 thats for sure. I only played for about 40 seconds though and it recommends 15 min to get a result.
