Jellybean OTA? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Any word on when that's gonna drop?

They seem to be doing much better on this phone with support than when I had the Vibrant, that literally took years

I have the vibrant when it 1st come out. And the support was suck.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app

I too can testify that Vibrant support was crap. But the GS3 is very similar across all platforms so carrier issues shouldn't be such a big deal this time around.

Rumor is that it will be by end of year. Who knows how accurate that will be, but as others have stated, with the GS3 being so similar in all it's versions, it's really going to come down to how long it takes to customize for each carrier. I'd imagine all updates will drop within a month or two of each other.

Alrigghttt. Just keep waiting. Friends nexus is already rolling with it. And I got all jelly.

Tomorrow the Sprint Nexus gets it. Therefore; I predict ours is still a few months away.

Sprint nexus has nothing to do with our devices I think we getting ours before Halloween, today's leak looks really good and so far just a few bugs but 95% of it works just fine so might be sooner then two months

The only reason I'd go to the gNex is if it's the only LTE phone out by the time LTE hits me area.

Everyone keeps talking about the gs3 IF it does come out later this year won't it take a year for it to get to the states like the gs2?

Oh, it'll be out probably the same time it's predecessors have been previous years.
Around August/September. I could be wrong, but that's my speculation. SGSII is selling too well to jump to the SG3.
Unless HTC steps up their game, Galaxy Note if it goes to sprint, or gs3. I really don't have any use for gnex.

It isn't worth an upgrade but if I had neither phone I'd choose the gnex.
Since this one is on the same level or higher its def. Not worth an upgrade.

Can't lie, in November when I'm eligible for an upgrade, I'm taking the best that's out. I have no self control when it comes to this kind of thing.
I'm not 100% sure on this but my friend said that he read that the s3 was going to be a simoutanious world wide launch. So apparently we getting at the same time as overseas. Again I haven't researched it yet so sorry if incorrect.

How many manufacturing plants do they have? Its hard to manufacture like 5 or more different versions at the same time ....I know when they made epic touch they were talking about a shortage of exynos chips but I guess they have fixed that especially since the exynos can now handle lte which the dual core could not ..

[Q] Question for Sprint Employees or members with Sprint "connection"

Is there any sign/hint that Samsung's Note or better Note2 would be offered as Sprint phone?
Thanks,
PS Just asking because it's time to upgrade, but willing to wait for Note 2 vs get GSIII.
What's wrong with the gs3.?.

There's no evidence yet, but I don't see why not. The original Note was a bigger success than Samsung anticipated and it'd be even bigger if it was on all four carriers. With the SGSIII, Samsung tried more of a unified launch, so it is feasible that they'd do something similar with the Note. They've got a launch announcement coming soon, so I guess we will see then. It's all up to Sprint.
I swore I saw a post somewhere that said the note 2 was in fact coming to sprint... Lemmee go lookee....

OTA announced when I called T-Mobile.

I called T-Mobile tonight to change my HTC One S to my wifes account due to picking up this bad boy and an automated voice came on while I waited and said that there was going to be an update for my device next week.
Im hoping we're talking 4.1.1 but I guess its better than guessing IF instead of when, just thought of another thing.... what if its for the One S and not the GS3.

By the time they release the update i will already have my Nexus 4, it is ridiculous that we had so many leaks and the official still has not been released. I have been using CM10 nightly builds for awhile now, currently on 11/7. This will do until I get my Nexus 4 and then I am done with carrier branded phones.

I wanted to get the GNex but I could not bring myself to buy a phone with year old technology and decided I would wait for the next Nexus phone. And when the SGS3 became available i just could not resist upgrading, forgetting that updates were ridiculously slow on the Vibrant I had prior to my Sensation 4G. I love the hardware on this phone but if I cannot get timely updates then it is a waste.
