External Power Backup 3000-3200mAh - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Accessories

Hi everyone.
Be care full all things of this kind of battery is just publicity nothing real.
Here is how it's look

Inside is just a regulator for charg internal battery and a power up convertor to get 5V
The main battery who run this external battery is just a big flat 2800 mAh 3,7V battery more exact his code is YY 426390P 3.7V 2800mAh 12YE005.
Price tell you how much is plastics, how much is true and how much is publicity.
Here is the pics with image from what is inside.
Power Board covertor up/down from 5 to 4.2V max (that much can take Li Ion battery) when charge extender battery and up convertor from 3.7-4.2 to 5v to power your phone.
All parst who make the extender
The back cover of extender
The EXTENDER BATTERY 2800mAh not 3200mAh and never will get 2800mAh as he convert his power to 5V wher will lose some power on convertor (the button for on/off get hot when is used to power your phone)
Make a litle ajustment for hole of back camera and flash because when you shut in low light and have flash on or auto the white around flash will get back on your camera and picture will get unclear and with to much shadow. I will got a permanent marker black and make the hole black around camera and flash. In this way i can take a pic w/o get some noise from white.
Here is things who get broken easy w/o meaning i wish to do that i never know when i did that but i did it
As advice if you want a battery extender dont get this kind better buy an another 2500mAh and you get more power than from this.
Or use and inside replacement battery than external power battery except the price is very cheap.
Remember this batterys have some power to lose when get charge your phone because is a convertor who get hot (more or less ) but that means he lose that power.
Using my old 3.7V 3000mAh battery from Galaxy I9000 give me more power than this Extender and was only 10$ instead of 19$ who was this.
For around 10$ will worth and not you buy it for extend your time to play with phone but dont expect to much.
Hope some will get this value at least i will feel good because not all got cheat by numbers

Bought one of this (black) on ebay for £14.99, and I can tell you that it can not charge the phone battery over 85%. Phone gets excessively hot whilst getting charge. Also, IT TAKES FOREVER TO CHARGE UP THIS THING. Standard battery charges up in about 2.5 hours but it takes more than 8hours to this power pack.
NOT RECOMMENDED.

Sigh, and I wanted to get one for my Note. I guess it has some issues with build quality. :crying:
Anyways, thanks for the heads up.

I nearly want to bug exactly this type of power bank. Now, change my mind tp buy cheap extended 5000mah instead.

Thanks for your recommend link. So, cheap 5000 isnt really 5000. It will be less than that. So i need to prepare 2x 5000mah for me to last a day long. I can order from ebay. Maybe will search other thread to buy it.

Hoping for a reply on this old topic..
Sorry for bringing back an old post, but I have a question about this. I actually bought one of these long before I ever read this post, and to be honest up until it completely stopped being able to charge my internal battery, I never had one problem with this case, and actually really liked it. All that came to a sad halt when one day, it just stopped being recognized by my Galaxy Note when plugged into it. Which mind you really made no sense to me because if I plugged the little Mirco USB tail to another device that could be charged by the same battery and had a Micro USB female to accept it, it was picked up and had no problems charging it, as well, my Note could be charged by any other Micro USB charger, so why all of a sudden it stopped being able to be charged by this case/battery is beyond me since both work fine unless plugged together. I contacted the place where I purchased it and they did send me out another one free of charge and told me to keep the one that wasn't working anymore.
When I found this post, I decided to open the the broken one, and googled the number on the battery "426390P" which was the only reason I found this post. This post actually surprised me because up until this one stopped working, it was working perfectly fine on my SGH-i717. I mean it charged the battery everytime to 100%, sometimes it would charge my battery about 1.5 times before I would have to recharge it. I thought it was the best case I have ever used quite honestly.
So now the real reason for replying to this post. Do you guys think that if I could find a 3.7V, higher mAh battery (or even make my own) that would fit in the case, it would work with the upconverter board that is already inside? I am no electronics expert, so I don't know the functions of all the pieces on the board, but I figured if I could find or make a new higher mAh battery that would fit inside, not only would it beef up the longevity of my battery life on my device, but it would allow me to keep using a case that I actually like and love the way it fits with my device and since I have the black case, I do not have the glare issue with the camera nor any shadowing issues.
I am curious as to what you guys think..
Thanks in advance!

Is it me or does the OP say in his title that it's about a 3500mah battery and then discuss the 2500mah battery. What's the 3500mah battery tag line about?

It's definitely a 3500mah battery. Just an typo I'd assume.
The back is thicker than the phone.. no thanks I will just continue to carry a spare battery.
These kind of batteries suck. If you need a decent backup just get an external battery. You can get an 8900mAh external that will last you more then you need. I always use mine when going on hiking or longer trips.. Generally where you would have a backpack of some smaller stuff. You do not need something like this for a days worth of common use.
I had one of those for my hero, get a big boost in life,. I went a three days without charge
What the hell is the point? I am getting nearly 20 hours of life out of my stock battery with two days of business use, and wifi. That looks awful as well.

You must not really use your phone like I do. Started at 8 today and its now 11 and im down to half battery even with overclock widget clocking it to 200Mhz when the screen is off
I bought one of these when the g1 came out and it gave me about 2 days off the charger. But im not sure how well this is gonna work with this phone. I really want to know how it worked with people who bought the smaller battery
If you dropped down that much you need to check your syncs and what using data. Is your phone set to cdma? I'm at 87% with 5 hours off the charger. Might as well solve whatever is eating up your battery first.

I take my phone off the charger around 6 every mourning and I don't lose the first bar till 1030 or so.that's with lots of text, internet, and some phone calls. Not a complaint here
I remember everyone was talking all this hype about the extended Seidio battery for the Mogul... I bought one... and was completely unsatisfied, I sent it back in, the mfg, acted surprised and sent me another one.. .Honestly even the replacement was exactly the same.. The Stock OEM battery lasted longer, and was more reliable.
Unless something has changed with Seidio since then, (which I highly doubt) I won't be "upgrading" my battery -
- I'm with the other member, I'de be more inclined to get some kinda external battery, or something. Too bad the USB connection changed on this new EVO 4g.. cuz my IOGEAR AA battery emergency charger is SICK! hmm.,.. actually i'm going to look for a USB converter, so that I can keep this iogear around.
Woah! I've been waiting to finally see the design on this as I've owned Seidio extended batteries in the past on other devices. The design on that back is a definite no go for me. It's horrific! I just can't F'up a rather well designed device with that hunchback. No way!
will people start complaining when they want 3 days of batter life? And do you guys not go home at night or day or evening (depending on when you work) to charge your phones? my phone with heavy use last about 8to9 hours.. and light to no use 20hrs.. i charge it every night..
i have the same battery used for the hero from seidio, so i hope they give the option to purchase just the back battery door. If not, i will have to wait for nakedcellphone from ebay to get his Mugen extended battery line (which have very decent door designs) and he sells em separate.
No need to drop 60 again, right?
had one for my htc diamond.. ive been checking the site everyday for that.. the back is bulky because of the battery size but like whoever stated.. you can go nearly three days without a charge depending on use.. i love those batteries
Wow. I guess it works for some. Personally I keep a micro usb cable at my desk at work. That + car charger and I'm never far from a source to charge my phone

[SOLVED] Good external battery charger?

I'm looking for an external battery charger since I bought a couple extra batteries for my phone.
anyone have experience with a certain charger? Obviously I don't want something that will damage my battery but nothing that will break the bank either.
Thanks.

Yeah, sorry I probably should have been more specific but I dont know the exact name for them. haha
It's like the dock "travel" charger for just the battery, not the battery connected to the phone.
I havent been able to find something decent (crappy charging, made in china).
Ok a little update for those interested.
I ended up buying some cheap (REALLY cheap) charger off ebay not expecting too much but just experimenting.
The charger itself looks something like this:

The 2 metal prongs connect to + and -; the charger is able to read which is the + and which is the - no matter how you set the battery in there. The bottom part that pushes the battery toward the prong is extendable or you can flip it 180 if you have a really small battery.
-Flashing red and blue light means charging
-Dull red light while plugged in means fully charged
-Dull red light while not plugged in but with battery set up means the pins are set up correctly on the terminals
NOTE: do not take batter off/put battery on while the charger is plugged in. It can ruin the battery.
The exact one i bought:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/270908124203?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
(no problems with the seller, they actually sent me a few free ones due to a misunderstanding)
Now for the review and my experience.
Pros:
-Fits any battery, interchangeability of pins (differentiating + and -) means you can fit any battery really
-Has a side USB port so you can charge a battery and plug in your USB cord to the phone and charge it at the same time
-Voltage input is 110-220V so (with an adapter) you can theoretically (will test this summer) plug this charge straight into an european plug or north american plug.
-No problems so far with over charging; Charger stops charging the battery when it is full
-Has a light to tell you when the battery is done charging and when you have the pins connected correctly to the battery
-Compact; Small and plug folds up into unit.
-Charges a fully dead battery quickly.
Cons:
-No instructions when I first received this product (i know what you're thinking, how hard could it be to just charge a battery but I was reluctant to rely on the self detecting terminal feature)
-While charging, the light on the unit (the one i posted/bough) flashes red and blue like cop lights and is very bright so it might be a problem if you are plugging it in overnight in a bedroom. Also this is a normal function of the charger but i thought it was malfunctioning so they sent a new unit but then figured out its normal.
-Looks cheap
-Dont know how long it will last for (really cheap so buying another one isnt a problem)
-Noticed that after i pull a battery off the charger and use it the phone states it is at 99% (undercharged) although if i try to bump charge a fully charged battery it wont charge more. This could be a problem with my battery/phone/etc.
-Nothing else really
So final verdict on this product:
Its a great, affordable charger; works great if you are traveling and need to charge an extra battery. Will fit the Incredible 2 extended batteries and technically virtually any battery. Its pretty easy to use once you know what the color lights mean and how to set a battery up.
If anyone has any questions or want more pictures of this product just reply in this thread. Hope this helped out anyone looking for a product like this.

Monoprice 2800mAh portable battery box

I just got a portable battery box (2800mAh) for $14 from monoprice. (LINK)
Nicely built, relatively small, and about to test whether it will give me 1.5 full charges as mAh would suggest (2800mAh / 1800mAh on HOX = around 1.5 charges).
Box itself doesn't come with any charger, but is able to be charged by any charger with Micro or Mini USB connector (yep, it has 2 inputs).
Output is a male MicroUSB connector that fits HOX nicely (duh!).
Output: DC5.0V 800mAh

I'd imagine if you want to use the phone while charging from it, you can connect them with a female-male MicroUSB connector.
The charger has a button that shows the charge level of the box with 25% increments (4 lights).
Has another light for "FULL".
As soon as I connected the box to HOX, phone immediately showed that it's being charged, as if from the regular charger. Not sure what the current is, but it may come across as slow charge (USB port charge) as opposed to AC charger.
So far I tested the charge over 10 minute deep sleep period, and I got this:
With the box, in average HOX charged for 2% every 10 minutes.
That would suggest that it would take this box 8.3 hours to charge HOX fully, which isn't bad at all, considering you're free to use it while it's charging.
Over next day or so I'll try to completely discharge the HOX and charge it overnight from the box. I'll see just how much this box can spit out.
---------------------------------
EDIT/REPORT:
I discharged my phone to 5% yesterday, disabled wifi and BT, and connected it to batt pack to charge overnight.
It turns out that this batt back is crap.
Overnight, when phone was in deep sleep with wifi/BT off, a full battle pack charged my HOX only by 55% (I charged the batt pack before using it). Even considering some small drainage during charge, I'd say this pack actually acts if it had just over 1000mAh or so, nothing close to 2800.
Oh well, gonna return it and keep looking.

That's a good option too, although I actually like that monoprice's sticks right into the phone, so you don't have to carry a cable with u.
Also, it seems smaller and cheaper.

I know of certain defense organisations that allow the fixed connectors but not those with detachable cables. Disallowing the cables reduces the risk of the cables being used for data transfer.

Okay, and I guess if I were flying in outer space, my suit was venting air, and the only thing that would save me is connecting a batt pack to a phone - in that situation a cable could freeze solid to a connector on the batt pack, making batt pack unusable, and thus killing me.
WRONG!
That's when Iron Man comes flying to the rescue thus saving your life and getting an autograph that you could sell on eBay for some money and covering your costs of the HTC One X.
OK well, turns out that this batt back is crap.

The problem with the types of solar charger that you posted is that they charge slowly. And exposed to direct sunlight, it might heat up too much and damage the internal lipo.
IF you just need a power source, get a portable battery. They are cheaper and works better in the long run.
Correct about the solar panels, at least with current technology you just can't get enough energy from something this small to justify the added complexity/weight/price.
Unless you are away (as in no mains and no "car" power) for weeks they aren't worth it - and if you are away you still need a more serious panel.
Just get one of the external "power packs" and top them up quickly over a few hours when you get the chance.
As a side-note the battery in Note is pretty big already and I suspect the charging circuit from the phone is quite far from 90%+ efficiency. Bottom line you need to get a beefy external battery; I'd say 5000 mAh is bare minimum if you want to get you through the day if you use the phone much.

Also, this will ruin the battery, when it isnt recharged with the correct amount of electricity right? Just as when you charge your phone with a car-charger og usb from the computer..?
In my experience, if you want a fully charged lasting battery, you need to charge with electricity from the wall...!

I am not Baekdal, but I am a subscriber of his work. I just thought that it might have been interesting for the discussion mentioned in this thread. I also consider myself an environmentally conscience person, but as the article points out not everything that looks green is green .
The solar charger is much less environmentally friendly than the electrical grid, which means that it will not save you money nor will it save the environment.
I'm glad you've enjoyed it.

Samsung Note 10.1 2014 Edition (P-601) wont accept new batterys

Hey there,
greetings from germany. Pretty sure this belongs to "Questions and Answers", if not - please hit me and move it.
I am confronted with a, in my opinion, strange problem regarding my P-601 Samsung Note 10.10 2014 Edition.
I will try to provide every action I took and what I figured out so far that noone that wants to help will need his crystal ball. But the first actions are about a year ago, so forgive me if I cant remember exactly.
Device: Samsung Tablet Note 10.1 2014 Edition (P-601)
Problem: Charging slow AF but lives, can be turned on, can be loaded via USB. (But more power is drained while using than can be delivered by charging = dies sooner or later while beeing used)
OS: LineAge OS
First I thought, EASY - get a new battery, done. Wrong.
I ordered a new battery, a (2) "vhbw" battery for "T8220E" - same mentioned on the original Samsung battery.
This is a year ago, In my belief I did get the tablet to run, and charge- but had the same problems regarding the charging speed. Slow AF - but I am not sure! Life happend, things came inbetween so I did put everything aside. Now I want to use it in my home gym, so thats why I came up here.
My next suggestion was that the charge electronic maybe the problem, so I ordered a new one, built it in. Didnt change anything. The (1) Original battery, is still charging slow af.
The new battery, doesnt do anything! If the (2) "vhbw" battery is built in, I am not able to turn the tablet on OR charge it. Its just a brick with this battery.
So what did I do? I ordered a new battery, from a well known german company trading parts like this, a (3) "original samsung battery". Guess what, the tablet does nothing.
So i thought, maybe your new charging electronic is the problem. So I put the (1) Original Tablet battery in again, and well - it runs, can be turned on and can be charged (slow af).
So the charging electronic is fine. Display is also fine.
I did confirm this several times by changing the batterys in and out, the new batterys (2) and (3) are "dead", the (1) original battery runs.
Right now I am stuck. It seems that my Tablet is blocking any battery besides his original one.
Note: I cant access Recovery Mode with battery (2) and (3). Its really dead. They where also charged atleast an half an hour, just in case they were delivered "really dead at 0%", which would be new to me because most devices or batterys come with atleast 25% battery status.
Note2: Yes I did use a ****load of power adapter and cables all in combination, same result.
Any help is really appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hello, I came here looking for recommendations for a new battery for my SM-P600. Could you tell me where you ordered your OEM one from?
As far as your problem, do you have a multi-meter? There are very cheap basic ones if you don't. Anyway, you can test the seemingly dead batteries with it to determine if they are in fact dead, or something else is going on.
Secondly, do you happen to have a hobby charger? With these, you can charge pretty much any battery L-ion or other. You can also do a drain test with most of these to determine the capacity of a battery. That is all I can really think of thus far. Determine if the batteries are dead. Oh one more thing you could do with the multi-meter is test the current being applied to the battery. I believe there are some free apps in the Google Play Store that can also tell you the electrical current going into the battery. Perhaps by doing this you can determine if the problem is something in the tablet itself. If I think of anything else, I will let you know.
Thanks
Hey,
thanks for the feedback.
You mean battery (3)? I ordered battery (3) from ng-mobile.de
Funny that you say that with the "dead battery", because I just had the same thought 10 Minutes ago. Those batterys were manufactured years ago I guess and were just sitting cozy in their boxes, I guess they are deep discharged. (hope this vocab is correct).
I have pretty much everything that is measured "useless" in a normal household, but sadly no multi-meter (no more). If those batterys are deeply discharged, it should be possible to be reanimated with very low charging power. The lowest I should have is a USB 2.0 Port on my pc (which were it is connected right now) or a oldschool dumb power bank without any intelligence).
I will keep this updated.
solved
It worked. About an hour connected to a USB 2.0 port of my computer, and it just popped back into live. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me!
There have been reports of the plugs of replacement batteries for these tablets not fitting properly.
Also bad solder joints at the battery connector.
And a certain behaviour i oberved myself, requiring certain custom roms or chargers in case of my P605:
In soft-off state tablet will charge at 0,5A instead of 2A max
and
When powered on it will charge at full power until the screen switches off and it enters standby. Then no charge at all.
