HOX Viper X connection problem - HTC One X

I'm a bit of a noob at the whole flashing roms thing but I've flashed the Viperx 2.6.0 Rom onto the device everything starts up fine, the flashing process was also fine, no problems with anything, but I try to connect to Hspda, Gsm and Wifi and it gives me an error what do I do to fix this?
Edit: Seems to be stuck getting out of airplane mode

Yes I've followed the procedure I made that mistake flashing CM10, this displays error message on WiFi, disconnected mobile data, no gsm/ hspda connection... i have a screenshot but new to this site

Did you do a complete wipe before installing the ROM ? What is the error ? You can upload the screenshot to some public image hosting site and post the link here. As for HSPA/3G, do you have the correct APN settings ?

i49.tinypic.com/ 33ucvh4.jpg the airplane mode wont allow me to alter the APN settings. I'll try Re-Flash the ROM after my phone charges... thanks anyway i feel ive done something wrong
I started by wiping previous rom and everything (full wipe)
Extracted boot.img into my fastboot folder.
Fast booted via Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Went through the viperx installation in recovery
Rebooted took a while to load then all connections failed to connect on the phone
Hspda, Gsm and WiFi

HOX CM9 fail

I tried installing Cyanogen Mod 9 on my HTC One X, first time doing it so had no idea what I was doing, just followed random tutorials till I got my phone rooted, I installed Clockwork Recovery at some point to, only before I got round to installing the ROM itself I stopped working on it then like a month later remembered, booted into recovery, installed cm9 and then got stuck in a bootloop. Only cause it was awhile since I did this I don't really know what I did to get here or what went wrong. I've cleared the cache in recovery as I've seen mention that that might help though it didn't. Also I don't know that I made a backup, I thought I did back when I first rooted but then after I flashed I couldn't see a backup anywhere. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? Would like to get phone at least working again.
After you installed the ROM in recovery, did you flash the boot.img in the zip file as well? Eveytime you install a new ROM, you have to do that extra step until we get S-off

This I did not do, though I can't see a boot.img file anywhere? Is it part of the CM zip?
Is there a way to place a ROM onto my droid while I've only got access to the bootloader/recovery?

You can mount USB storage in recovery, then simply drag & drop from your computer on to the phone.
Extract the CM9 zip to a folder, and there you will find the boot.img.
To flash the boot.img you will need fastboot, which you can find on the OneX information sticky.
Then boot to bootloader, select fastboot (Plugged into USB). Then on your PC open Command prompt, navigate to where fastboot is located and type > fastboot flash boot <path to boot.img ex: c:\android\CM9\boot.img>

Ok so my phone is now working, to a degree. First I tried mounting usb in recovery, that didn't work so I got this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634786 and also downloaded CM10 because I didn't have access to my original CM9 download. I then used the automated flashboot commands to flash recovery 5.8.4.0 instead of the older one I had, this gave me my mount usb back. I mounted and put the CM10 zip on the phone then booted recovery and flashed it, I then used the fastboot automatic commands again to flash the boot.img for CM10. I cleared the cache using fastboot and rebooted. It now boots however splash screen still says cyanogen mod 9 and version of android is 4.1.1 though which I think means CM10 must be installed right? also since the mod been installed my wifi does not work, I don't seem to be able to connect to 3g/H+ either. I've rebooted back to recovery and factory reset/wipe cache partition/wipe dalvik cache, anything else I need to wipe?
Pretty much need to either get mobile data working again or flash back to stock.

CM10 still has the CM9 bootup screen.
I had couple of CM10 Preview releases for few weeks. Almost everything (i.e: WiFi, 3G etc..) works in that ROM. I assume most other CM10 ROMs also have those basic stuff working right now. Which ROM and version did you download ? If you followed the exact instructions then WiFi should work.
If 3G is not working then make sure you have the correct APN settings of your network provider.

[HOWTO] ONE V how to revert back to Stock ROM

I have recent version of One V gotten from Virgin Mobile during the cyber Monday sale. I really wanted to try jellybean so I tried AOKP cdma (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1878994)
I used All-In-One Tool Kit by hasoon2000 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1676686) first to unlock and flash recovery. It has a video on how to use it too. vey nice.
Then I flash the AOKP 11/19 nightly rom but something was not right, it was booting OK but every 20~30 seconds, the phone rebooted itself. They say recent One V with the OTA update experiences this symtoms.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The solution is to go back to stock rom.
Pre requirements which are already available if you downloaded All-In-One Tool
1. HTC drivers are installed
2. Android SDK installed
The way to go back to stock rom is to use RUU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591059)
For the virgin mobile USA CDMA, you can download
"RUU_PRIMO_C_ICS_40A_Sprint_WWE_VM_1.08.652.6_Radio_1.00.00.0521_2_NV_VM_3.46_0503_PRL61008_release_262414_signed.exe"
Make sure you download the correct RUU. Otherwise , you will break your phone !
Execute the RUU executable and go to temp folder by typing %temp% in your explorer window. It will create two temporay folders with long names. Once the wizard screen appears, one of the folders contains another long named folder that contains 'rom.zip' file. Copy the 'rom.zip' file into the directory where 'fastboot.exe' is located. You can close the RUU wizard screen now.
This is the full temp path for me.
C:\Users\%windows7_userid%\AppData\Local\Temp\{8AB121A4-D261-43DF-A709-93BCAAEE61DB}\{50F2F878-636A-496F-A7CB-544C067E0C4B}
Boot the phone into bootloader (power off, hold down volume and press power) and highlight FASTBOOT using the volume rocker and pressing power. Then connect the USB cable. You should see FASTBOOT USB.
Now execute below commands from the CMD window from the directory where the fastboot.exe is located.
Code:
fastboot oem lock
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip rom.zip
Then reboot normally to see your Stock rom !
After that, I reflashed the AOKP 11/19 nightly rom, and now it is working like a charm! I love it!.
See my phone with jellybean! Note that AOKP 11/19 is pretty stable, video recording is working good , but with minor graphic glitches time to time. The glitches occurs and disappears right away, so it's not a big deal.
I followed your instructions and was able to revert to the stock rom. The problem now is that ClockWorkMod recovery no longer work and I can't reflashed the AOKP rom. When I try, the phone displays a processing icon and then a red triangle with an exclamation mark. That's when I have to hold down the power bottun to shutdown manually. I can still boot into bootloader though.
I tried going through the steps to install recovery.img again but somewhere/somehow as the cmd are executed I see a line that says failed.
Do you have any idea what's causing the problem?

Hello, Basically processing icon with red triangle shows when you go into recovery mode with the stock rom.
what happens is that we have to lock the phone to install the stock rom to work properly ( This commands locked the phone --> fastboot oem lock )
So you have to perform the unlock and flash the recovery again after reverting to the stock rom . Try the ALL IN ONE Tool kit.
Basically when flashing your recovery to clockworkmod and then installing aokp (for the one v) download a seperate boot.img which is in the topic because the one included in the AOKP zip caused mine to lock up as well. Once you flash boot.img with one of the newest (CM10 bla blabla) it was ok for me.

I tried the fastboot oem unlock command and also reflash the recovery using the All In One Tool Kit but was unsuccessful. What am I doing wrong?
I have included attachments of the cmd screen to give you more context to what is happening.
Thanks Tomskii for the advice and will keep it in mind when choosing rom but my current problem is that I am unable to access the CWM recovery to flash any rom.
What happen was I flashed to the CM10 rom but it kept rebooting after few seconds.
Multiple xda post says to revert to an earlier stock rom to fix the RADIO version.
I am now in the current position:
stock rom with RADIO 1.00.00.0521_2(Which I believe is correct)
No access to CWM recovery from Hboot screen
fastboot oem unlock cmd is not executing
All In One not able to flash recovery or boot in recovery

It looks like the phone is not unlocked.
Enable the USB debugging under the developer option setting then perform the tasks by running "One V 1.2.exe"
then follow step 1 through 5 to unlock your stock rom phone.
then your flash recovery command would not fail.

Ok decided to use TWRP b/c the All-In-One has it for CDMA and now able to access recovery. Yay. Thanks nurungji.
Next I tried to reflash CM10 version 20121108, along with Gapps and the steps I did before the stock rom like clear cache and boot.img from the zip.
But now when I reboot, the phone is stuck on the CyanogenMod load screen. I waited over 10 mins before I shutdown manually. Before the earlier stock rom, I was able to go to the "register google account" screen before the phone rebooted.
I tried to redo the whole process again like some said on other threads but keep getting the same result. I also tried the AOKP 12/05 but got a black screen.
Any advice would be appreciated.
**Update**
Took about the whole day but finally everything is working properly. The boot.img from the Tomskii didn't work. Maybe b/c it was from a PrimoU Aokp page and my phone is PrimoC.
It is currently using supersick kernel from simonsimons34. It solves the wifi problem for the CM10 version 12/20.

Hey congratulation, you are almost there. I am not sure about CM10 mod because I didn't try CM10 because the video recording didn't work at the time I was looking to try Jellybean. So I decided to use AOKP but anything after 11/19 nightly version shows just black screen ( I tried every night version)
I am currently using 11/19 version now.

HTC One X Plus semi bricked ?stuck airplane mode

Hi guys
Today today I wanted to root it and so I did. First i unlocked the bootloader and then i booted the root.
After a short time, I had no more service and it showed me, that I have no connection to cellular data.
This is kinda strange, because this happened from one moment to the other plus I can't use wi-fi (???). Also, my phone is stuck in airplane mode and I can't get
out of it, no matter what I do. I've already tried it via powerbutton and in the normal settings, too. If I want to turn wi-fi on, it durates a little time and then instead of
connecting to a wi-fi accesspoint, it shows "Error". In the settings, I can't chance the state of the airplane mode, it always shows me: "Turning off...".
Please help me! I really have no idea what to do, because I already tried:
- Rebooting Phone
- Set the phone to factory settings
- Putting another SIM-Card in slot
- Putting my own SIM-Card in another phone, what worked without any problems.
I'd be glad, if you guys could send me tips and responses as fast as possible.
Thank you!

Hi - I'm a noobie with exact same problem. hunted for a fix and then came across this thread - all perfect now thanks!

No wifi & no mobile signal - please help!

Hi all.
Just got my one x 32gb, basically...wifi and mobile signal was all working perfect, so I did what I usually do and flash a custom rom straight away.
Unlocked the bootloader with the all in one tool kit and the token etc and installed recovery.
Installed Viper kernel, the Viper Rom.
Rom installs fine, then i reboot and it goes to the screen where you have to choose 'language'
I select English, then next screen is 'Team Venom Rom Specs and setupwizard' so i click next.
then a message comes up saying 'Warning = Network service is unavailable'...so i press ok.
next screen is scan and install apps, so i do that, works fine.
Then next screen is 'internet connection' where you can choose 'mobile data or wi-fi etc.....i select 'mobile data or wifi' then click 'next'...but instead of it going to the next screen where it asks me to click on what wifi connection i want to connect to and password etc, it just goes straight to 'Transfer My Stuff' then 'Dropbox'
When ive gone through all that, I try to manually setup wifi via settings, but it just keeps saying error.
Can someone help me out please??
I've wiped everything and tried reinstalling Rom twice.:crying:
Any help would be sooooooo appreciated.:good:
cheers

fastboot erase cache after flash? installed modules for kernel?
I'm having the same problem... tried everything I can think of but no success yet.
Any suggestions?
I also have the same problem but with Renovate rom.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you missed a step in the toolkit you used. you usually get the sort of problems you are experiencing when you either, forget to flash the boot image, or forget to erase the cache after you flash the boot image. The boot image is in the zip file of the rom, you should have extracted it from the rom zip before you placed the the zip on your sdcard. Or if you used a custom kernel it should be accompanied by modules which you have to install in the same way as the rom, ie flashed from within recovery

If you downloaded a custom kernel it will have been in a zip file. Extract the boot.img from zip and put zip on your one x. Boot your phone to bootloader choose fastboot usb. Type fastboot flash boot boot.img[or name of image you extracted]. Type fastboot erase cache. Boot into recovery and flash modules (zip file you download) after you flash modules erase cache and dalvik cache.
Thanks very much for the info guys, have now flashed the boot image and got it working. Initial problem was me being stupid, I had not made a nandroid backup of my initial rom so had nothing to recover back to. I then had the wrong hboot for the rom, was really worried.
I really appreciate the help.

[Q] HELP: Cant call/connect to internet, cant connect pc after reflashing ARHD 33.1

Was on ARHD 33.1 with xm kernel, decided to reflash my phone with the same rom (ARHD 33.1), I did not flash its boot.img because I was using xm kernel's boot.img (my biggest mistake). My phone was stuck, so I went to recovery and restore one of my nandroid backup. The problem is after restoring nandroid backup, I cant make calls or connect to the internet, the airplane mode is always showing turning off. Tried to go back to recovery to reflash ARHD 33.1, stuck when I tried to flash ARHD 33.1's boot.img, when I connected my phone to the pc, the fastboot menu froze, when I type fastboot flash boot boot.img command in CMD, it shows waiting for device. Tried to reboot, it remains the same, everything looks fine except cant make calls and connect to the internet, and cannot connect to pc and cmd. Any help?
PS: I constantly flash roms and did tweaks to my phone, most of the time I know what I was doing, except this time.

Hi, thank you very much for your reply, I googled a bit on how to reinstall adb and fastboot driver, but I did not get what I want, do you mind to tell me how to do that or send me a link that shows the instruction?
Edit: I did it! And I recovered my phone, thanks a lot! For anyone else reading this, I plug in the phone into my pc, go to device manager, and uninstall the driver.
