i broke my Note glass 5 month ago, set me back for USD300 for replacement. :crying:, but then its all okay without a hitch! love it more!

Mine was broken last month. I by Misatakenly dropped Dumble on to the glass. The glass dint break, but the screen was blacked out.
So got it repaired for aroung $160 (8.5k in India)

omg thats expensive 8.5 k (in india)

Here's a guide to a DIY digitizer replacement (with pictures)

Here's a guide to just the glass by itself (much cheaper, much more difficult)

I actually bought an iPhone one and cut it to size using my old digitizer as a template, then you scalpel around it. It costed me exactly AU$1 (or 80cents U.S) off eBay.
I was looking for custom p3450 ones but they start at like $10.00 (inc postage).
Nice idea and very cheap my new screen protector cost me 12 US$ and after 3 months looks very old

[Q] My screen is somewhat scratched...

So if I wanted to replace it, would i replace the LCD screen itself or the digitizer? Not sure as the photos of where I can buy both of these items do not make it very clear which part I need.
MOST phones are just the glass itself. LCD Digitizer is the LCD display this is like this

but many phones the digitizer is attached to the glass(My Galaxy S 4g) I would just recommend going to your local flea market and look for a phone guy. They're the cheapest.
Depends how much it´s scratched, but general is just the digitizer.
That's what I thought. The LCD screen is a tad recessed for it to be the top of the screen... now i know for future reference
Wow you hardly broke it :$

Are you sure it's not the shatter-resistant film that's scratched? It can be removed, and the screen won't scratch as easily (just try not to drop the phone if you do)
That would be it, the only thing i ever removed from my screen was the thing plastic protector that all devices have on their screens now.. Thanks!
HOLY SH*T!!!!!!!!
Ur poor phone...when i see it i thing it is better buy a new one or insurance...

i used the smaller of the 3 sets and it came out well. the pads didnt stick directly to the back on their own so i used a needle to apply super glue to the pads which did the job
they protect the phone/camera and act as extra grip without any extra bulk or ugliness
cost: £2.49

if you broken your opo oneplus lcd Screen/digitizer please read this !

my son borken my opo one lcd screen and i have to buy a new lcd screen for a replacement.first i won't know the lcd screen has different quality and in order to save 5-7usd i bought from a site. After 2 weeks the Display arrived well pachaged but without any kind of protection on screen. Capacitive buttons work but there is no light from them so i have to guess were to press back, home or recent tasks.
So if your opo lcd screen was broken too ,please make sure the lights is ok before you buy it..Of course there are a lot of site has write in their description and promis with the softkey illumination light.if write this it will 100% be ok.no like mine lcd screen.

i also broke my screen.
would you be able to let me know where you bought the screen? if you could provide link that would be great
Thank you for your sharing! It will be more helpful!
I bought my replacement digitizer and screen from Vifocal on AliExpress: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-100-Original-LCD-Display-Screen-Touch-Screen-Assembly-Replacement-for-Oneplus-One-64GB-16GB-Smart/2039112357.html
It took 4 weeks to arrive by post, nicely packaged with a toolkit (but no adhesive strips or glue) and has the three tabs for the capacitive buttons - I haven't fitted it yet.

Ohh, and I'm tired of the update available prompt (rooted with custom kernel)
Want to go back to stock, and flash 6.0. But had two drops that damaged the corners and moulding holding the screen. Screen itself is fine, but worry that it will separate in time.
Just filed claim with Square Trade (bought at Staples), and their recommendation was to send me a check. Not sure how much?
I did have epoxy on one corner, but it chipped away. Need a more solid repair.
Any good source for parts? And how hard of a self repair?
What about sending g back to ASUS for repair?
Thanks for comments....

$44
From the videos, it looks like the broken bezels are part of the front housing. But it also looks virtually impossible to separate the screen/digitizer from that without damaging it. I think this full assembly would be much easier.
Now what would be cost to send to ASUS, or to just get my check and apply a few more dabs of epoxy?
Does it really matter?
Mines chipped at three corners. Granted only one is as big as yours, but its working fine.
Yeah...works fine. But could look better. Was thinking it could degrade over time and effect display.
Squaretrade said to send it to them for $239 refund. Just had to order an Asus charger for $10 to include with my return.
