Blu Kuban suggetions - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Since I am new, and not a developer I can not post directly in the Blu Kuban post. I have an idea and some minor problems that I hope someone can see if they can be passed on.
1) My first Idea is with ExTweaks. I used to use Setcpu/tegrak before Ruj implemented this new kernel tweaks. He added the feature to add profiling for charging,screen off, and low battery. I am wondering if you can add the ability to set user made settings as in when blank program starts the processor goes to a certain speed. This was a feature that I really enjoyed using when running emulators or when using Team Viewer.
2) I have already mentiond it, but it did not get changed. Underboot animations "Modern war" and "Modern Warfare" are identical. They are both a knock off of the World at War Intro.
3) Under ExTweaks I have set the display to Dynamic color scheme. I shut my phone off at night to charge my phone. In the morning after rebooting my phone defualts to the default color scheme. If a log is needed, I can provide one.
4) I would like to add to what has been discussed in the forum that the trick for hot reboots worked on my phone

Changing Clock on VERIZON HTC Touch Diamond

Hello! I need help with changing the clock on my HTC Touch Diamond (VERIZON).
Okay, guys... I am SO frustrated I could absolutely SCREAM.
I've had the phone for a week, and I've spent hours, literally, trying to change the CLOCK appearance. It is currently ANALOG and has an atrocious purple background that I HATE.
Here's the main screen, so you can see what I mean:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have installed some themes successfully, and everything changes but the clock! I can't get rid of that purple background, and can't change the style from Analog to FLIP, which is what I really want.
I have tried to install several clocks from the clock thread on this site, and followed the instructions to the letter - soft reset the phone and..... NOTHING. Still the same awful analog clock with the purple background.
I have also downloaded TF3D Config, hoping a new Theme will override the clock, but can't get any themes to appear in the drop down menu no matter what Path I choose (another massive source of frustration).
Sorry for the rant, but seriously, I'm about to throw this phone out the window. Part of the fun of having a phone like this is the customization features, and if I can't figure out how customize it, why bother?
I really hope someone can help with some detailed, step by step instructions or send me to a thread that has the answers. Believe me, I've literally spent hours searching this site and the rest of the web and can't find a specific answer. Maybe it's because Verizon's version hasn't been out for very long?
I'm definitely a newbie at this stuff, but I can read/follow instructions - so please, please help!!! (That's right - I'm begging! LOL...)
Sorry for the long post! Thanks so much for reading this and I hope to get some replies soon.

Did you ever get an answer for this, just got the touch diamond today and this is driving me nuts as well.
let me know
thanks
You have to install nissedilligaf's sprint2flipclock (search the forum) and don't forget to soft reset. That nasty ugly purple background will be removed after soft reset, then you can install any clock you want. Find any flip clock or analog and just copy it to your windows folder on your device. Don't forget to thank nisse for his work.

Wakelock & 128Mhz

I don't fully understand what wakelock is, I know it has to do with CPU at minimal usage while screen is off, but that's it.
Alongside that I know some kernels can reach 128MHz, but I've found they only scale to 245Mhz by default.
Could we discuss wakelock issues and scaling, maybe get a better understanding for all?
I'm still looking for feedback, my phone has has 100% awake time lately.
Using spare parts, the numbers just don't compute...partial locks are far less than the system uptime.
You can read a fair amount about wakelocks here: http://geekfor.me/news/facebook-1-3-wakelock/
I'm not saying that facebook is your issue but that's an article I wrote a few months ago when the new facebook update wasn't releasing a wakelock. That has been fixed since then though.
This chart should answer a few of your questions:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
There are also several screen shots at the bottom that show the commands you can run from ddms (dalvik debug monitor... it's part of the android sdk) to see any current wake locks that are in place on the phone.
FYI your phone will not sleep when it's plugged in, so you can't compare awake and sleep time when you have it plugged in. It also will not sleep after very first boot until you wake it up and then put it to sleep again. If you are having wake time issues then you should start uninstalling applications until it starts sleeping. Or the faster way would be to just do a data wipe and start over and slowly re-install your applications, paying attention to when it stops sleeping.
I know this is brief but I just wanted to give you a place to start looking.
As for 128mhz vs 245mhz... 245 is the lowest the phone can go by default. I honestly don't keep up with the kernel stuff a whole lot but if there is a kernel that is capable of going down to 128mhz then you would need to use an app such as setcpu to allow it to scale that low. In my experience in the past I have had issues on my phone when going below 245mhz. The phone would automatically drop to 19mhz and basically come to a hault. However like I said I haven't done anything dealing with custom kernels in months so I'm sure I'm behind on new changes.
Extremely helpful, thank you so much.
As much as I have many more questions, you've set me in the right direction.
So far I've found after wimax is shut off I get a connection error sourcing from wimax repeatedly.
Still looking into this.

[App] Saev Mah Battery!

Hello guys,
I was working on a project today that lead me to create this app for myself, and I thought I could share it.
Basically, Saev My Battery! let you reduce your brightness below the minimum possible, without your phone needing to be rooted.
For now, the battery saving will occur only with AMOLED displays (like the SGS2's screen), but I'm planning to add the reddish tint for other displays in the next few days.
Let me know what you think about it, if you find any bug, if you'd like some more features etc...
Thanks for being my beta testers fellow SGS2 owners

There already is this app:

which I personally use since SG1...But more is always welcome
I will try it although one of the let downs with your app for me is the name (I just don't like when people use words that aren't the real words) and the design.Make more polished..More eye appealing.Those are my sujestions.
Keep it up

Hey, thanks for your quick review. I'll definitely work on the design, but I've been too lazy to find a more appealing name I guess

I'm also using Screen Filter, but if this program will also have features of "Soft Screen Tuner" (plaing with colors, saturation...) and "Voodoo Screen tuning" so it will be "all in one" =) But anyway thnx! =)
How about SMB?

[App][2.3+][Alpha] Looking For Players

LFP (Looking for Players) is a simple app that helps gamers find each other. It tries to emulate the bulletins boards in real life. LFP does not require an account to use but does require a persistent Internet connection. The three tabs (Response, Post, and Search) contain all of the functionality of the application.
Response lists the games you have listed with a list of people that are interested in playing that game with you. Tapping the X next to the game title removes the listing while the x next to a name removes that user. This list refreshes every time the app starts and every 15 minutes if left open.
Post allows you add a game to the server specifying the game, in-game name, platform, days and the approximate starting time. Anything posted is automatically deleted after one week.
Search goes through the available listings and returns a list grouped by time. All times are corrected for the local time zone. Clicking a listing within the group generates a dialog to notify the person that you are interested in gaming at that time.
Currently, I want to know:
• How responsive the app is.
• Is LFP intuitive to use?
• Are the colors appealing? How can I improve the theme, nothing too fancy for I am not an artist.
• Does this app accomplish its goal of being a bulletin board for gamers?
• If this was in the app store how much would you pay for it?
• Bugs and annoyances.
This was designed for use on a phone but it does run on tablets but its not coded to take advantage of the additional space.
**EDIT** This is the alpha so there isn't a large user base so there are 0 posts at the moment. Therefore everyone needs to post and search for the same 5 games: Pirate Sushi, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3, Roller Rally:Snake Pass, Combat Wings: The Great Battles of WWII, and Quarrel.

Cool idea!
Thanks, I'm contacting people on that UI designer list to create a new color scheme for this app. That's a common complaint. Which is not surprising at all really.
Very responsive, haven't ran into any glitches yet

Question Change lockscreen clock!!!

So I am sure this has been asked many times, I just cant seem to find it, lol.
I hate the digital square clock thing on the lock screen and from what I can tell and read there is not an easy way to change this. Nice!!
I am rooted, any suggestions on how to change this to a normal digital or analog clock? I am not sure why would there not be an option for something as SIMPLE as this?
I hear this changed in Android 12, but in 13, its a new "feature"?
The only way to change it currently is to leg l leave some kind of notification as unminimized. I know in another thread in this section someone mentioned a particular app for creating a dummy notification you can leave displaying all the time. Having a notification that displays on the lockscreen makes the lockscreen small as in screenshot below.
Now if you don't let notifications display on your lockscreen, then there's nothing you can do about it for now (until / if someone finds a way).

Thanks, will look into that. Any idea WHY this would be restricted this way, lol?
I just use the built in screen saver and have it set to the digital clock. Down side is that the screen saver only works when the phone is charging/docked.
You can try AODNotify or
Tasker can help you change the size of Android 12's AOD clock
A new Tasker project allows you to choose between the small and large clock designs on Android 12's Always-On Display.

With A12 Google removed a lot of the customization options we once had, such as setting a specific icon layout in the status bar and choosing a font style. Samsung still retains these features.
In A12 the lock screen clock is new, while in A13 there is supposedly new options being developed that will allow you to change the display format. It may also arrive in A12L.
Your best bet is to install a 3rd party AOD app to customize your lock screen or wait for a custom ROM.
