Will amzer, or tempered glass screen protectors fit with siedio case? - Galaxy S III Accessories

Hey guys, since these are .4mm thick will that not work with a siedio surface case? will the top part not snap on because of this, or since its .4mm it will still work? They look so cool, would love to get one, if it would work

I have one coming from Glasszone, I'll let you know, as I have a surface case. Expect delivery between 9/24 and 9/29

The SGP one abould fit. It fit my Musubo Retro and my Otterbox Defender. I thought it wouldn't fit in neither case. I don't know about the others tho
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

K Keith let me know if it does. The amzer is only .2mm thick so I would think it should. BTW why did you go with SGP and not amzer?

I just read about both and liked what I had read about SGP... and actually, I bought the XGear Spectre and the Glasszone, they should both arrive about the same time and they're the same thickness. I don't know which one I will end up using, but I am never shy about buying "gadgets"... LOL
I think I'll hit each one with a hammer and which ever one survives, that's the one I will use.

I want the amzer. Might order it. Should fit hopefully

I spent some time forcing the Seidio Surface case over the GS3 with the .4mm thick screen protector on it. Although I was able to get it on, it doesn't fit very well at the seam where the top and bottom pieces meet on the back of the phone. It will have to do for now.

Both are high quality TPU cases. Im using the Diztronic now. Have 3 Cruzerlites on order waiting to be shipped. The Cruzerlites have ridges on the side for grip and a cool android on the back. Diztronic is matte and gloss and offers good protection. May replace the diztronic after i get the cruzerlite...haven't seen anything like it.

Casemate Tough or Otterbox Commuter coupled with Carbon Fiber Ghost Armor & your choice of screen protector. I've spent Alot of money on cases/skins and this is the best combo for me. TPU'S are also a great value for light protection but my daily setup is the CM Tough & Carbon Fiber Ghost Armor with a Ghost Armor screen protector. These companies customer service is amongst the best in the industry.

The Diztronic TPU case is awesome. I just got mine today and it fits nicely, no shifting cutouts are perfect and adds a good visual appeal to the phone.
i exchanged a noname TPU case for a casemate barely there and much happier about it...phone weighs almost half and case is good enough for light protection.
besides, it's quite classy, TPU or casemate tough don't do justice to the Nexus...

+1 The Matte Black back is much nicer than I had expected to be, and the glossy rim around the front bezel is very generous, and the overall feel of the case is quite classy IMO.
Hey guys I wanted to buy a case mate pop case cuz I like how it looks but I remember hearing somewhere on here that they aren't selling them right now because they are making revisions on them. I seen a few on amazon still and I been tempted to buy one but does anyone know what these revisions are? Like is there something really wrong with the cases?

The current 1G version doesn't have the hole for the camera's microphone. The CM Toughcase and Barely There version does. I don't know why it wasn't included in the first iteration. Laziness, perhaps?
I'm using the OtterBox Defender Case. If you're not a fan of bulky cases it's probably not for you but, it's perfect for what I need it for.
Damn. To me it does seem like laziness lol I guess ill just wait for the revision model

Bumperized SGP Neo Hybrid Case

To make it easy to change a baterry, I cut the back of a case!
In addition...Originally SGP ultra hybrid case was made for 1750 battery so it's not compatible well with 2000mah extended battery.
But now it goes well with 2000mah extended battery
Cool, think this would make it work with the lte version? How does it feel with the back cut out? Is it still pretty solid or does it move when you squeeze it?

Wait is this the ultra hybrid or the neo hybrid? Based on the color I'm guessing it's the latter.

Sorry for the mistake! This case is Neo hybrid case.
And... because neo hybrid case is composed of a hard bumper part(polycarbonate) and soft part(polyurethane) so it wouldn't fit...i think
It fits very well and it's protective(i dropped my phone several times but no breaks), more slim than before. No problem about moving!
I did the same thing two weeks ago when I ordered mine (bought it specifically to cut the back out)
Just wondering what you guys used to cut the soft rubber part?
I'm keen on trying this since the eBay bumpers are poorly made, but I can't see myself cutting it cleanly enough with an Xacto blade.

also in the link posted above, people with the LTE GNEX have purchased the case and said that once the back is cut out it fits but they struggle a little to get the button to fit with the rubber part after inserting the plastic part.
So you basically turned a Neo Hybrid into a Neo Hybrid EX which is not as of yet available for the Gnex.
Neat !

A ridiculously sharp knife, maybe?
Nice Millie! I'm considering cutting the back out of my Neo Hybrid, as it's warped pretty bad and trapping dirt and dust between the case and the phone. I love the case otherwise, though. It saved my phone from a nasty 4ft fall (more of a throw) on concrete and it looks awesome. Other than the warped rubber and the super slippery plastic, it's perfect!
I think I might use my Honeybee for that task, though. Small and precise.
This is just amazing work! I didn't go through the reviews enough before ordering Neo Hybrid and now when I have already ordered one, came to know about the sagging problem. This right here would be an awesome idea to get rid of that problem. Just wanted to ask one thing though, the gap between the back cover and outer plastic shell is noticeable? It does seems so in the attached pic but is it too much?
You probably won't be able to tell this but does the back cover of the phone touches the surface when rested at the back or the outer shell only stays in touch with the surface and back cover being slightly in air?
Also, was it too hard slicing the thin rubber?
Thanks in advance man!

I have this case/holster. it does have a ratcheting clip on the holster btw. anyway what I was gonna say is regarding the screen protector. I had a screen protector on my phone before getting this case. I tested out the screen responsiveness with the ballistic SP over my SP and it suffered badly. So i chose not to use it. Maybe I will try to remove my SP and try the ballistic SP on it one day.

Cons: Smells horrible, Smells like petroleum (which it is made of) if the phone is a foot away from me it is very potent.

Its great. It's thin and durable (I use it without the optional outer rubber layer). Covers the ports of headphones and charger. There are also plastics films to protect the camera lens and flash lens. Only annoying hindering aspect would be the power button and home button. You need press with a bit of force. Taking it off is a hassle too, but I knew that when I purchased it. I popped off the built in screen protector since I have a zagg hd on mine, so I can't comment on that. It feels great and the kick stand isn't flimsy. Overall it is a great product.

Define "Best" there are MANY different "BEST" cases out there... check out my review of Otterbox Defender in Atomic color. I love it, but some might hate it.
I get a lot of compliments from people about the funky color...
Honestly, if you're looking for a case that can offer a great protection from almost everything but water... look no further. Otterbox has been manufacturing quality and very well designed cases for many years. Also, if you get it from amazon, you save about $20. just my two cents!
Like someone else said, "best" is cometely objective. My best may not be your best.... However, I prefer the Ballistic SG Maxx. If you search the accessories forum you'll find a mini review i did with some pics.

It's bold yes, but I don't think screen protectors are necessary. Cases yes. But a screen protector won't stop your screen from cracking or shattering if dropped, it'll help stop scratches. But gorilla glass is design to resist most scratches already.
My over 2 year old epic's screen still looks brand new. Even after drops and kicks...Just my personal opinion.
Kinda glad the trident kraken doesn't come with a built in one.

Why no mention of Seidio cases? I have been using their cases for my last few phones and they are great. My GS3 case has a magnetic metal kickstand and looks nice. It also feels well protected. I don't use a screen protector though as I also prefer naked. Personally, I think screen protectors offer a false sense of security on modern gorilla glass screens.

Rearth Screen Protectors (8/9)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E81PHF0/
Since the ASUS ones seem out of stock in most places, this one seems like a great deal. 3 for about $8. I used this for the 1st gen Nexus 7 and for my Nexus 4 and they work well.

Most screen protectors have a hardness of 3H. I think Gorilla Glass is about 7H.
