Thanks scott for giving the thread this way

Keep yours man... You can have it.
We both posted at exactly 3:17AM CST. How rare is that, lol

Does this kernel support OC? If not, are there any for 4.1.1 that support OC or has it not been done yet? I'd test myself, but it's my brothers tablet not mine!

no OC JB for the JB Bootloader till now.

This is a bone stock kernel with ramdisk modifications to allow true adb root and and run parts support.
I am working on an OC kernel. I got the code and got it tom compile but I dont understand the tegra 3 code. I can make OC kernels for the MSM8960's but this Tegra 3 is much differnt.
If anyone here wants to help let me know!

I actually would love to help

I have actually tried to make an Oc kernel a month back or so. As reference I looked at motley's source for the tf201. As he had a oc kernel. The actual code is a little different than ours but it was still good for reference. But the only thing now is that it was for the ics kernel and not the jb kernel. I don't know if it has changed too much to use as a reference.

(Question) Overclocking...

Well I have been looking around on my own, but really I can't make heads or tails out of any of the various Overclocking apps. I am looking for what the best overclocking app (in your personal opinion/experience is). As far as firmware goes I have;
Firmware - 4.1.2
CyanogenMod Version - 10-20121012-NIGHTLY-epicmtd
Build Number - cm_epicmtd_userdebug 4.1.2 JZO54K eng..20121011.232018 test-keys
Kernal Version - 4.0.42-g5b9b6e6 [email protected] #1 Thu Oct 11 23:28:39 PDT 2012
Sorry if this is more information than needed, but it has been a while since I have messed with an Android, and better to have too much info than not enough.
Thanks for any/all help.

You'll also need to install a kernel that supports OC. I don't think the stock CM10 kernel supports OC.

If you want to try the kernels by the devs that are working on the ns4g modems I know they have a few options from nitest to stock cm and the other simply something kernel (sorry forgot the name they all work great and just be aware overclocking does have its challenges but it has some killer benefits for sure too at the speed and responsiveness. I suggest stick around 1200-1300 but see what feels right to you. Good luck man!

It does to a degree I believe. Not anywhere around the old cm9 1200 they brought that back to 1000 stock but you can raise the min up from 100-1000. I would stick around 200 or 400 possibly 800 absolute max. It can be set to different profiles conservative, performance ect

Stock cm10 does not support overclocking to any degree... the only kernel that supports overclocking for cm10 is the nitest kernel, but it still has some bugs to be worked out, so unless you're an experienced user I recommend stocking with stock cm10 and not worry about oc until/if epic cm team implements it into the stock kernel....

Well it is not so much that I am a noob as it is that I have just not been around for a while. When I broke my last Evo (in July '11) I did not have the cash to buy a new Smartphone so I had been using just a Samsung Restore up until last Monday when I could not take it anymore and bought the Epic.
I will look into the nitest kernel though, thanks for the heads up buddy!

 just remember to post issues on the nitest thread and not the cm10 thread....
So what is the best method to overclock now? I downloaded the NStools that was mentioned, however it will only let me go as high as 1GHz, which I could already do within CM10 itself, so I hardly see a point to that.
I just want to be able to run at a max of 1.2GHz.

This kernel is based on10.4.4.18 and is NOT compatible with any CM10 version ROM. It has been confirmed to work with CleanROM from TF700t, JB OC ROM (since they are based on 10.4.4.18). Since we are unable to lock speeds at this time, I have made 3 kernels. 1.8ghz, 1.7ghz and 1.6ghz and all have GPU OC to 650. It can be undervolted, includes DPI hack and Fsync Control (for better I/O results). Here are the link.

That doesn't indicate if its CM or TW. CM kernels are based on source from Samsung same as TW. OP should be updated to indicate TW-based kernel which I see has been done.

Agreed :good:
I just done some benchmark tests and they are pretty good in terms stock or ktoonsez kernel ( I've tried few configs about KT, but nothing like this one ) So the results are:
Quadrant: 6653
AnTuTu: 10469
Vellamo: Metal 627, HTML5 1889
20mins (on screen) doing benchmarks 5% battery
EDIT: @eaglerazor123 can you add date to the topic? It is easier to check for newer versions
And to ask again is it possible to ON the Fast Charging? In the very first post you say it is off by default so it means it can be enabled?

It contains some CM tweaks if you read the Liquid ROM OP. Those CM tweaks are probably what's causing the bootloop. I'm assuming the ROM has to be pure AOSP based.

I'm not a dev nor do I have any dev knowledge, so I don't know. It's not the fact that it has "CM" parts in it that doesn't make it work, but CM has a tweak in there that makes this kernel bootloop. If AOKP also has the tweak, then it's going to bootloop as well.
Just make a nandroid and try it.

Someone found the drivers with mDNIe support for our screen (or at least they were named the same way as ours) on a Samsung's site.

who is that someone and which is that samsung site?
each time i talk to supercurio about mDNIe, he ends up commenting how it's not "real mDNIe", if it was it would be nice (not implying i talked to him about N10)

[KERNEL][GT-N8013]Cubed Kernel 1.0.3[02.15.03]OC to 1800, Patching

Okay folks, no fancy graphics or information here. Searching this site will tell you any of the generic information you may be interested in. I am not going to clutter up things any more than I normally do. Which is already enough.
I need to make something very clear here. I'm sure it's just me, but I feel like I need to say it out loud, rather than just leaving it in my source. At least 90% of what I give you is other peoples original work, modified by me to run on whatever device I have. I don't do it to look smart, or be important, I do it 9 times out of 10 because there isn't something already out there. The vast majority of the options I give you are from amazing coders like show-p1948 and faux123. There are random snippets from others too. I just wanted to make that clear. If you ever wanna know exactly who did something I put into a kernel, go look at the source. If I cannot get the original commit, with them as author, they are listed in the comment. If nobody is there but me, I actually did it.
So, here you go:

Feel free to let me know how it does. I kinda built it last night before I had the tab. It seems good to me, but I'm not as hard on things as others can be.

Works on gt n8000 but without 3g network does not detect sim card. it would be possible to make the gt n8000 with 3g.
Thank you very much.

Well played, sir. I have a sexy smooth tablet that is actually stable now. I did have to do a full wipe due to it freezing and starting over, even after clearing cache/dalvik/fix permissions. It was totally worth it though, thank you for your hard work!
