Best Overall ROM?? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What would you say is the best GB ROM for the xperia play? In terms of gaming and overall use. Planning to install a custom ROM. Also, which kernel is the best (if that even makes sense?)
Thanks for any help

I might use LuPuS kernel. Thanks for the suggestions so far. I guess they all are good? Good battery life? I'm on stock at the moment.

No worries, was just making sure. Is it basically Gingerbread themed to look like jellybean?

Yeah it looks great and so far no problems with games. I got bored with the dull gb look

I've unlocked the bootloader. Need to install a kernel now and then i think i'll test out gin 2 jellybean

Is lupus only for ICS ROMs? Cause i want a GB ROM
Edit: found the GB one

I noticed on gin2 jellybean, it says in the instructions that you should download doomlord kernel? Do you NEED the doomlord kernel or is it just recommended? Also, since i have an R800i, i wouldn't need to do step 1 would i?

I am just using stock kernal, as i can;t change yet until i figure out how to unlock my bootloader!

cm 10 is still very early stage if you want to use arc with all its potential try custom ics roms with ktg or lupus kernels.
Why you choose that rom if ultimate hd by jader give you perfect performance for you lovely phone?

The Xperia Neo L can do this because of having identical hardware. (Camera is up side down)

Seems both phones have the Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon board both with Adreno205 and 512 Ram and 376 Rom (If I remember right)
They have identical specs for the vital parts so it is worth a try,
Anyway I recommend you Slimbean by CJ360 (Gave me the smoothest JB Experience - With 210 Ram which was a record for me)
Yea well you can be the tester for people also wanting to do this but make sure you get the same radio as your phone

Lupus v9 Kernel - Enable ALS

Hey guys!
I've just installed lupus v9 kernel with FXP 151 (CM9).
This kernel is really great and pretty smooth.
I was wondering if there is a way to enable ALS, witch is disabled by default.
Anyone has a clue?
Happy New Year!!

You cant, its disabled at kernel level. Reason being its broken or at least was on cm9 so screen will go bright, dark, bright, dark, over and over. It was annoying...
