How To Make Your Multitasking A Lot Faster And More Convenient [needs root] - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

Like many of you, I love my S3. One thing I HATE is the multitasking implementation. Holding the home button for 2 seconds is tedious and slows down the experience of a blazing fast phone
I have managed to overcome the problem and thought I'd share it in case this issue was frustrating others too. Essentially, it allows you to tap the bottom right hand corner of the screen to bring the multitasking bar up. This can easily be done with one hand, and I find makes using the phone a lot faster
Steps:
- Download GMD GestureControl (there is also a free version, although I am not sure if this will 100% work on that)
- Swipe right to 'custom gestures'
- Set up like this

Xda Revamp?

has xda developers ever thought about some new themes or just a new look?? not thats its unsightly, its pretty nice to access and use, just wondering??
I'd be happy with something that was a bit more QVGA friendly, I find it somewhat cumbersome to navigate this site from my 8525 - maybe it's me... who knows
Actually I was thinking of both versions, but the pda version does load much quicker
My problem with the PDA Site is that everything on it is at least one day behind everything on the main site...
Maybe cutting out things like avatars, signature pictures, embedded tags like

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
I see your point, and will back down.
I'm quite happy with it as it is, and the site loads fine on my prophet.
Hmm, as far as the PDA version is concerned, I can't speculate on that for I have never used it. I always browse XDA Dev in full view Opera Mini. Even then, I find that the layout of the forum is quite clean and manageable. I would not recommend any unnecessary changes. If it ain't broke don't fix it, but fix the broken stuff (haven't noticed any so far)

Order of the Devices in the forenlist

Hello,
what do you think about a re-order of the devices in the forenlist? the newer htc devices are all at the end of the list and we have to scroll a lot? Maybe ist is possible to reorder it to the top of the list?
Rgds

I agree...better yet have user be able to decide which phones/devices appear when they are logged on.
This has been asked several times before...
First devies goes up and newer goes down, imagine changing the way it has been for years!
No way!, I like it just like it is now
Just my opinion,
While most people think reordering is a good idea. However I'm used to where everything is so please don't move it or you'll make me mad, along with a lot of other "ole timers."
This has been posted before.
And believe me guys...you don´t want to see JimmyMcGee or any other "ole timer" mad

If you really want the page re-ordered (and you use Firefox), you can hide the stuff you don't want with a plug-in called GreaseMonkey. It does take a small amount of scripting on your part- but, hey, why should the admins do all the work?
Greasemonkey basically runs scripts on pages as they load, which makes it possible to customize the way you see (and interact) with other people's websites.
If you're too lazy to do that, CTRL+F will save you a bit of scrolling.

[App][Total Commander]

For all of us who are using it on PC (and missing it on android )
It's still on beta and not yet available on Google Play but, as far as i'm used it, it's fully operational and functional. Good thing is that it never ever asked for superuser privileges but it can do whatever you want with system files so...
you can download it at http://www.ghisler.com/android.htm and bellow are some screenshots that show/prove it's functionality

}
P.S. It does looks a bit confusing at first sight (like it's predecessor on PC at first look long, long time ago...) but after few finger hits over the screen it gets very logical and practical so give it a shot
How about remount /system to RW?

How about remount /system to RW?
Click to collapse
Full.
First, while you are in system folder, hit last green button in main menu:
then hit the R button:
and there you go:
As i understood on the TC forums there is will of author to make that R button permanent part of main menu but with this way it stays open down there untill you choose to disable it so it's fine like this too
Final 1.01 version out, now also available on playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander
and ,best of all, it's free
Thanks man for a wonder app.

[APP][FREE][4.0+][CONCEPT] Snoozer's Alarm Clock

Hi everyone!
I’ve made a quirky alarm clock app. It's for those who have trouble waking up, like me
If you’re the kind of person who sets multiple alarms in the morning - this is for you. You only need to set a goal time and tap “ON” button, the app does the rest for you.
I’ve made it for personal use, woke up with it for couple of months, and so far I’m very happy with results - I wake up on time! Friends encourage me to publish it, but before I do I’d like to see how people react to the new concept.
The app is reliable and works in full, has a nice UI and how-to-use tutorials. Free, no ads.
Care to take it for a spin and tell me how you feel about it?

Question Screen turns on when shaken & Google search bar

Hello.
This is my first time using a smartphone, and I'm new to IT as well, so forgive me for being dumb.
I recently got a Nokia G20 (Model number: TA-1336). It has Android 12.
Whenever I "shake" the phone, or just move it a little, the screen turns on. I believe it has something to do with motion sensing, but I couldn't find anything in the settings to turn this feature off.
Please help me.
On another note, is it possible to get rid of the google search bar at the bottom of the home screen? Without disabling the Google app, if possible.
Thanks very much in advance.
If this has been asked before, I'm very sorry for causing trouble.
Thank you very much WilliamMike, your advice fixed the first one!
The search bar, however, I still can't remove. The internet says to either install some NovaLauncher (which I'd prefer not to) or disable the Google app (this could break some features I assume).
Sorry for taking up your time, I appreciate your help!

I tapped on Home settings, and this came up:
Any idea where to go from here?
