What matters most to you?

I wouldnt go for any of those. I have the CIMO S-Line TPU Case. It looks nice, its cheap (5$), and it protects my phone.

I'm just looking for something that has looks and doesn't make my phone bulky. I don't like cases because it makes the phone fat. However I need one cause I'm getting nicks...
So something thin and clean looking.

Edit: is it rubbery? I don't like those because when its in my pocket a lot of dirt gets on it. Does it happen to you?

I would say skip on the body glove adds a good amount of thickness... If anything check out the d3o sold at tmobile stores, it's rubbery but dust or lint won't stick to it cause I keep it in my pocket and it adds little bulk, still slim, múltiple colors to chose from goes for 24.99... Loving it only thing a pain to remove so make sure you won't be removing it a lot also the thick of some chargers have to be forced in but nothing crazy....

i have to disagree with the d3o case. IMO,they are absolute junk. i actually ended up buying the white body glove after a few months of use. i was tired of having to push hard on the power button just to get a response. Using the D3O case overtime, i noticed the power button recessed in and was super sensitive to the touch. The white Body Glove has little-to-none button resistance.
Plus my over-the-ear-headphones would never fit in the headphone jack. yes you can use something with a skinnier 3.5mm jack, but i'm not willing ditch nice cans.

No, but I know what you mean. The back is made out of 2 types of materials. One on side of the S, there is plastic like you would put on a couch as a covering. On the other side of the S, there is a really soft and smooth rubber. Nothing sticks to it. Check out this thread for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885042
In the thread there are also some videos on the case.

saw your vid and cant say the video makes me feel comfortable dropping my phone in it.
From the links the OP posted i would go with either the fishbone, or the body glove. the body glove is on my sisters s3 and feels great.

Just got my new Otterbox Impact Case...

With all the talk about the Otterbox Defender ($50), haven't heard much press on the Otterbox Impact ($19.95 / $15 after discounts).
Anyway, my Otterbox Defender was a disaster so I got this instead and I gotta say, it is REALLY nice. The rubber is solid yet soft, fits ubersnug and the screen protector is THICK and high quality. For about $15 I am VERY pleased.
** Just put on the screen protector - no lint, bubbles easy to squeeze out - love it! This MUCH nicer than the Defender.
I am just amazed by this case. Just a simple silicone case but the silicone quality is so high and smooth feeling without being overly soft. The screen protector is thick and with zero finger drag. I honestly don't know why anyone would need more protection than this. The Defender is pure overkill.

Ordered a couple of the Impact Series case's from otterbox site, hoping thy don't take as long as some of their cases have for people. Was leaning towards the trident case but after looking around decided to go with this. As far as cases go, a good silicon is all I really need so I'm excited to see how these then out. Glad to hear you like it, as with any case I've heard mixed results but I'm eager to see it in person.

I bought and love the Commuter case. Has silicone core with plastic around it. Not big or heavy. Plus it doesn't catch pocket lint.

Mine took about 5 days to arrive but I live on the east coast.
Even though the case is just silicone, it is pure quality. The screen protector is awesome too.

Looked at the commuter, I guess if I'm not feeling the Impact I could get that, all the stores around here carry that one and that one alone.
I keep reading about lint and or various fibers, which I don't necessarily foresee as being an issue (lint free), but do the grooves / textured backing catch stuff a lot? Like I said I'm not too worried, only curious.
And as far as the screen protector goes, I just use the ones Sprint sells. Have some extras so will see how different thr otterbox one is. Zero issues with this Sprint branded generic one, touch input / sensitivity or otherwise. Might just leave it.

Lint isn't a big problem because although this case is silicone it is a higher grade silicone and a bit harder than typical cheaper cases. The screen protector is nice because it is extra thick plastic so it is easier to get rid of bubbles.
To prevent lint and scratches just grab a microfiber glasses case from your local mall and slip your EVO into that before placing it in your pocket

Hmm, just got mine. Yesterday actually, but was sleeping. Initial impressions are mixed ... case is extremely loose on the sides. Guess I thought it would have been a snuggled fit with the "harder silicon" but it really is quite loose. To the point of it being a little bothersome. Not sure how much of an issue it'll be over the course of a day but a slight brush moves it. I dunno. Feels comfortable in the hand(s) though. Will have to give it a few days.

Weird. Mine literally could not be any more snug. There is no wiggle room at all.
If you mean that you can flip the edge a bit with your finger, well its silicone I personally don't find that bothersome at all.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Hah yes, right it is silicone and I know there is a lot of surface "area" between the edges but it seems flimsier than I would have imagined. As I said I thought, as read, that it had harder silicon. And I've had silicon cases for various devices and with most, once on, fit rather snug.
And with the backing ... noticed it seems to collect various "particle" stuff but can easily be wiped away. The one most often voiced concerning doesn't seem to be an issue. Doesn't seem to pull on my pocket lining. I like it but the flimsy edging is really bothering me. It even seems to stick out in the middle on the left / right sides. To the point if you push it you can see it press in to the side of the phone. I dunno ... I have 2 so it doesn't appear to be a defect ....

Dunno dude. Mine doesn't stick out at the sides at all. It is a VERY snug fit and the silicone on the sides is quite thick and not even remotely flimsy.
Don't know what to say. :-( The fit on mine simply could not be any tighter.

Get a cheap sunglasses pouch and put your EVO in it when the phone is in your pocket. Prevents lint and scratches and makes it easier to take out.

I got the impact case and used it for two weeks. The sides become flimsy with time with all the times you pull it out of your pocket. It's a nice case. But the sides becoming flimsy started to bug me. It also added bulk to it not alot but still adds some. I loved the grip though awesome.
I went to a sprint store and tried out the commuter case. Loved it, hard casing with rubber skin. Its a bit slippery though. But the case isnt bulky and fits the phone like a glove. Only thing I dislike is the bottom plug that protects the hdmi and usb. It opens up at times. But it's not a big deal. I get compliments on the commuter case as well pricey but I think its worth it. Both cases are great though. If the impact case didnt get flimsy with time it would still be on my phone the grip is great.

With all your raving about this case I had to see what the hubbub was about. Ordered mine yesterday. Thanks for the heads up, OP.
I do like the case, but still the edging on the sides is my only beef. Was thinking; I use these regular old screen protectors that cover just the screen and the one that came with case seems to cover most of front of phone. And wondering if maybe the little extra space would result in the front being more snug. Maybe not as its not that thick. Either way I'm liking it. The grip feels very nice.

I seriously have to vent about the design of this phone. UGH!

What in the hell was Samsung thinking when they made this thing so damn shiny and smooth? I drop it on a daily basis.
I tried a silicone case from eBay, the fit was GREAT but the things like a dang lint roller. EVERYTHING sticks to it. I pick up my phone and it's covered with hair and grit, dirt, sand, you name it.
I actually have to wash my silicone case off. I actually got sick of how much stuff it picks up, I stopped using it.
I ordered a Case-Mate case last week, hoping that works out better. Hopefully it shows up tomorrow before I just return it for an iPhone 4S, ugh, it's frustrating the hell out of me.
blame the phone on your parkinson's disease. makes sense.
Order a TPU case. Nothing is better. They have them on Amazon. Matte black looks amazing with this phone. The owner of TPU posts on XDA and is always listening to our feedback.
Hmm... haven't dropped the phone yet.
Try TPU next time, its amazing.
Haven't dropped mine yet. Maybe you should try sticky tape on your hands
How does a TPU case differ from a Silicone case as far as stuff sticking to it? I've never really had much luck with these rubber cases from that stand point. Stuff always sticks to them like crazy.
What is a TPU case made from? I guess if the Case-Mate doesn't work out, I can try that next.
That said, I think I actually looked at the TPU cases when first looking for a case. TPU Cases was sold out every time I looked so I ended up ordering this silicone rubber piece of crap I got from eBay.

It's made of TPU. It's some longer scientific name.

Could be different for someone else, but I've had mine for 2 weeks and I have noticed some extra scuff marks. Since the upper rim of the case where the phone enters is made of a slightly harder TPU material, constantly removing the phone from the case will cause this to happen. I do this to clean out any dust particles that may get through. If it wasn't for the case looking so good on the phone, I probably would've switched it out for that reason.
get a TPU case, not going to prevent drops but just trust sammy's build quality. Mine has already taken some spills and already came out ahead
How do you drop your phone so often that you blame the phone's design?
I did accidentally throw my phone, but that's because I forgot it was in my hand, lol.
Go with the TPU case. I picked up the matte black one off of amazon myself as a temp solution until I splurged on a casemate or something more "heavy duty" and otterbox like.
I actually decided to just rock the TPU case.. it's niiiiice.
I also have a vid review up on amazon for it as well.

I had one on my s2. First week it was fantastic..
After that, garbage. The lining portion they provide stretches and causes a gap in between the back of the phone and the lining. Got pretty annoyed with it and threw it away.

They have updated it.
So what's different? In previous versions a silicone cover was used. However, we've updated the series is a new TPU material. This new material is still as soft and dust-resistant, but with added durability and protection. Perhaps the best update on the new Neo Hybrid for the Galaxy S3 is that there is absolutely NO sagging or expanding of the TPU cover due to heat from device.Great news to all Neo Hybrid fans out there!

It ses the harder material sits on the phone, while the softer TPU material is on the outside. Seems like that is scratches just waiting to happen. Now reverse that so that TPU inside, hard shell outside, and add an optional belt clip and I'll take 2!!!

Did you read the website?
The Galaxy S3 Neo Hybrid Case Series will be the same dual concept as the Galaxy S2 and iPhone. The case features a TPU cover with a hard polycarbonate frame. The TPU material protects the phone by absorbing shock from any accidental drops. The hard plastic frame protect the phone from scratches and scuffs. Having both the advantages of a hard and soft case makes the Neo Hybrid an all-around protective solution.

The frame (outside) is PC (hard). The cover, TPU, absorbs the shock.
Your phone wont be getting scratches with this case.

I'm looking for a case that offers some drop protection, but won't add a lot of bulk and won't stick to my pocket. Now I have a tpu case but I don't think it has much drop protection. Is there any bumper case that just go around the edge like the iPhone bumpers?

The back is plastic. That's the same exact case I got for my sisters One S, even the color, lol. And I have a similar blue one only the corners are thicker rubber. We got them so my nephew wouldn't damage our phones throwing them around. It will go in a pocket just fine if the pockets are roomy. Tight jeans might be a hassle.
Edit: Just checked the amazon link and that's the same one I have only in black. The only difference between that one and the green one is the plastic texture on the back. And the silicone corners layer is thinner on the green one, which annoys my sister as it stretched out and now the top and bottom is loose around her phone, whereas the thicker one I have holds tight and firm.
Hope that helps.

Ok sweet, I'm stuck between that case or the D3O Flex Gel Hard case, does anyone who has the d3o know if it has good drop protection? In the end I'll probably end up buying both because they're so cheap haha.

Well the d30 technology is made for impact protection(it's used in helmets, safety gear, etc) but I've never personally used it. I can verify the two piece plastic/rubber case I have definitely protects against drops, but with corners like that how could it not, lol. My phone straight up bounces when I drop it.
I've had 2 d3os, the one that was hard plastic on the back (99% of then crack) and the one that is all hard rubber. The buttons are really hard to press on either, and i think it led to a malfunctioning power button because i was pressing so hard. Great protection and doesn't come off easily. If you drop it face down i think it will protect it

The Beast from Evo claims this newfound Hybrid Armor can protect one's jewels from being thrown over 50 pes. I am very much so obliged to agree with this monstrous beast! His personal guarantee is written in stone as well.
I'm happy with my D3O case. Haven't had any major drops but it provides a nice grip when holding the phone so it's not as slick as the phone when it's naked.

OCD HTC One Case request

Hi all,
Can anyone suggest a case for me please.
I have been looking but can't find anything that fits my criteria.
I am looking for something that won't scratch easy, slim profile, with a lip all around the edge, holding its shape all around the edge(especially near the micro port and power button), so maybe a hard case would be best.
Would prefer it to be clear as long as it won't scratch easily.
I have had the Otterbox Commuter but its a bit too bulky for my liking and the edges are not kept straight, around the ports. I have also got a couple of tpu cases but they don't seem to keep a perfect shape.
I have also had 2 x Poetic Atmosphere cases but didn't like the finish, with glue showing around the edges on both cases.
Cheers everyone :good:

Thanks, forgot to say I have had two of those as well, don't look that good though, with glue showing round the edges!

That one looks good, thank you :fingers-crossed:
Do you know if it is a tight fit?
Yes, I use it. I switch between this case and the $4 from eBay thin TPU case that is in this section that another member recommended.

Cool. Just to clarify, is it a tight fit with a slim profile?

Yes, the one in the link is slim, but the $4 tpu is thinner.

Yeah I have bookmarked that one. Is it slim? Silver or black version?
Yes it's pretty slim, although it is 2 layers like an otter box so it's not the slimmest. But it's still very slim, especially for a dual layer case. I have the regular dualpro and I love it. CF is slimmer. It is better than the otter box because the rubber is less sticky so there's no friction when going in/out of your pocket. It fits the phone tight and feels premium. I got my dual pro on amazon for $18.. A few days ago they had the CF for $18.

Thank you, I am also debating over this one which looks a bit similar:
http://dx-box.com/luxury-ultra-thin-all-metal-aluminum-case-cover-for-htc-one-m7-silver.html
And color is up to you bro! I have the black one and the black dualpro- pretty minimal and sexy. There's reviews for all this stuff on YouTube. I also really like the seidio surface, there's a variant that has a built in kickstand - I feel like once I get my wiimotes to work I'm going to regret not getting that one

That looks pretty cool! I think that metal texture would get old fast but that's just me.

how about that? I'm quite interested in getting it myself. I have an ultrathin (0.4mm) clear hard case at the moment but not liking the fact that the bottom front of the case doesn't cover the champhered edges of the aluminium.
Incipio Frequency?
I have it and it:
- has a very tight fit
- has a lip all around the front: although small, will prevent scratches when laid screen down on tables. But seriously, bigger lips wont prevent damage from a straight up drop onto a rocky surface anyway..
- doesn't scratch
- I don't know what you mean but holding it's shape but it has clear cut-outs for the USB port and the power button
- is very minimalistic
- has an awesome equaliser-sorta-thing design on the back which seconds as extra grip.
It isn't really a gel case but it isn't a hard case either. It's in-between. Hard to the touch but flexible to an extent.
I highly recommend it!

Thanks. What I mean by holding its shape is around the power button and micro usb port some cases might not keep a straight edge.
