If it says that you are not allowed to unlock the bootloader I'm afraid there is no way to unlock it.
Roland

Your point is what. We are now in the territory of spoon feeding which is something I don't do, read the information at the links, read it again then again after that if you still haven't grasped the information.

thanks

I found the most reliable way of unlocking bootloader has been setools and the test point method.
I am on 3 and have had the SIM unlocked ( phone was originally on t-mobile) and bootloader unlocked.
Search for user jinx13 he offers this service remotely.

Pick one and try it, because if you had I wouldn't have to be writing this and you'd have it done already.

My phone is 12w29 so i cant use any method but thank you

Pay attention the Frequently Asked Questions.

Sony will allow you to unlock bootloader but be aware that it voids warranty. Works the same way as wootanserver but it's direct from the Sony website.

Please, I need a simple help (simple for those who understand the subject).
I got an Xperia Arc LT15i, in a negotiation over the Internet.
Now, he's 3.0.1.A.0.145, but it does not have OTA update.
I ask, this is because he has unlocked bootloader?
How do I know if it's unlocked bootloader or not?
Where can I check this ?
Thanks to your attention.

[Q] SE XPeria Arc S (LT18i) SIM unlock

Hello, everyone.
I've tried to read a little bit around and try to learn on how to SIM unlock the XPeria S Arc, but it's a bit confusing with all the kernel, root, unlock, relock terms used, and tutorials.
I just want to unlock it to accept another carrier.
Android Version is 4.0.4.
Kernel is 2.6.32.9-perf
Compilation number is: 4.1.B.0.587
I also have SETool and try it, even with Test Point, but i think i probably have to root it first.
So, can anyone enlight me on wich tutorial should i follow?
Thanks.

Well my friend, you are confused. That's for sure. SIM unlock doesn't have nothing to do with kernel, root, and another things. My advise is to read the things slowly and try to understand.
As far as I know to SIM unlock an LT18i you need to pay for the service. There are a lot of providers that are giving the code to unlock for about 20€. And you don't need to do nothing to the phone.
So, ... , good luck.

Can you PLEASE give me here or on pm a good site to pay the right (about 20€ as you said before) better via paypal that is NOT A FAKE SITE....
My Carrier is VODAFONE ITALY
Thanks a lot in advance for any possible solution and answer.

Hi everyone.
I have had an x10 for 2 years and now I have a Arc S. So, as I have some experience on flashing roms and rooting and etc with my x10 I want to give it a try with my new ARC S.

Unlock Bootloader (need help)
After doing these can I flash any kernel right away?
If so I am thinking about flashing these ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2093720). But I dont know want bugs it has so ......wat do you recomend me?

No need to apologise, your English is fine. :good: You need to check if you can use the official method to unlock, see HERE, if the answer is no you need to use the test point method, which is the method I would recommend even if you're able to use the official method, but the choice is yours.
