Original Google Calendar apk (AOSP) - Where to get / how to install (on JB)? - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

Just updated to official JellyBean (Polish), although rooted and deoxed.
Now again the original Google calendar (with pinch zoom timeline) is gone.
Does anybody know where to get the AOSP Google calendar.apk and how to install it (I don't want to re-install all gapps as a bulk brute-force effort)?
Also, with 4.0.4 adding AOSP calendar.apk to SAmsung official TW rom resulted in double Calendar alerts: one from S Planner and another from AOSP calendar.apk. Is there a way to solve this?
Thanks for all the help (yes, I've tried searching, but haven't found a solution yet).
EDIT: have tried the following:
1) Attempt to install CalendarGoogle.apk (taken from original JB AOSP apk files thread) from internal sdcard (fails, even if "install from unknown sources" is enabled, result is: "Application not installed))
2. Copy calendargoogle.apk to /system/app/ and reset the permissions to proper state with Root Explorer & reboot & build Dalvik cache (app is nowhere to be accessed).

That's actually almost ICS 4.0 calendar, not the fully functional 4.1 Jelly Bean Calendar ("I had to disable a few new features from Jellybean that don't work on ICS" as the author says).
So close, but not quite the same.
I am running JB after all, not ICS.

Anybody have an idea how to get AOSP Google Calendar (full JB version) to run on TW JB builds?

AOSP JB and google sync

I tried some AOSP JB ROMs and none syncs with my google account: none restores my Wi-Fi passwords and my settings and in the menu Settings-backup and restore-account of backup (I hope this is the right translation, my phone is in Italian) there isn't my google accounto, but "Backing up to debug-only private cache.
Why does this thing appen? With my old nexus s it wasn't like this!
Can I do something in order to make AOSP ROMs work like the OTA?
Also the Gallery doesn't sync with Picasa, but I solved this problem puting the gallery of the OTA in system/app.
I hope someone can help me!
Thanks to everyone!

Depending on the ROM you may have to flash a GAPPs package
I always flash gapps when nedded..
Am I the only one with these problems?
Hmm..
Gapps package you're using is not working?
Does this happen with yakju/takju official images?
Sent from my i9250
other gapps work fine, but my phone doesn't sync settings and Wi-Fi history, I always use the package provided by the developer....
according to the galley, i found out that the AOSP gallery (gallery4.apk o something like that) doesn't sync with picasa, but I don't know what about settings.
gmail, the play store, current.......every gapp works fine apart from settings sync.
The official image and the OTA are OK, they work good.

[GAPPS][4.2] Latest Google Apps for AOSP-based ROMs [24 MAY]

Here is my custom Google Apps package. It comes in two flavors: Google and AOSP. What's the difference?
The Google flavor flashes stock keyboard, camera and some other stuff so it allows you to use features like Photo Sphere and Gesture Typing. The AOSP flavor will retain your ROM's version of files so you can enjoy modified apps like the CM camera.

Flashing the ROM might be easier since you already have the zip file and no need to download more files.
Wonderful

Hello guys,
It's been a while since Android 4.2 came out and I've yet to see a proper gapps package for it that's hassle-free and has everything working like an official one. So I compiled an (unofficial) one.
Here's a quick overview of what's inside the package:
GalleryGoogle.apk - Fully working Photo Sphere camera, viewing, photo editing and sync
LatinImeGoogle.apk - Keyboard with swipe gestures and dictionary
BrowserGoogle.apk - Not sure how it is different from AOSP but I included it anyways
EmailGoogle.apk
Google Now
Gmail - with pinch-to-zoom and lockscreen widget
Below is a list of what's not included:
Google+
Talkback
YouTube
(You can still install these through the Play Store)
This does not work on 4.1.2 and below. It would create compatibility issues and FCs everywhere. Thanks to demon2112 for the feedback.

Tested on fnv-aosp 4.2 001. Should work with every (deodexed) AOSP JOP40C ROMs out there, maybe even those upcoming CM10.1 builds!
Report here if you encounter any issues. Any feedback would be very appreciated.
Enjoy!
Note: If somehow, someone with a different device came across this thread, make sure it has an ARMv7 CPU before flashing this.

fnv-aosp 4.2 002 (build 11/18) I couldn't get the device to boot and flashing the Gapps posted by DaxMax worked.

[SOLVED!]CM camera app

Hey, after flashing few ROM I saw that not all of them have the CM camera app (with the advanced settings, specially the Power shutter feature).
I tried adding it manually to AOSPA (removed old GoogleGallery.apk and moved Gallery2.apk to system/app),
but I didn't worked out (Gallery worked, Camera FC).
Is there a solution for this?
Update - on vanilla rootbox it worked. Maybe I did something wrong on PA..
(or it just not supported on PA?)
SOLVED!
SlimRom's Gallery2.apk is working!!!!

Thanks sarkar1990!
There is a flashable zip somewhere on xda I will post a link if I can find it again
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
And it works on every ROM?
Umm.. Anyone know what files are related to the camera app?
Maybe I'll replace them with the files from CM.
...?
No one knows?
Should I ask on another forum?
I want to have the same camera
I'm also using Vanilla Rootbox (4.0) and I still have the stock camera with stock options - has anybody an idea on how to fix this?
On rootbox I think you can just download the gallery2.apk (download CM and only unzip this app, system>app).
Then remove (or move) old gallery (GoogleGallery.apk).
Move gallery2.apk, change permissions (like other system apps) and restart.
If you can't move it, you need to mount you system partition (r/w), search Google (it's simple).
What I think problem with aospa is that it's missing libraries because it's mostly stock.

It works perfectly - thanks a lot. In case anybody out there is as new to it as I am: Use ES Explorer and use it's Root Explorer - it's as simple as this
That's exactly what I used to install CMFileManager
Solved!
------------------
Well, it didn't really solved.
When I click on the power button the device lock, not taking a picture.
I guess there is still something missing.
I'm having a real terrible go at this. I somehow removed the original google gallery apk through ES File Explorer and Installed Gallery2.apk but it crashes every time I try to open it.
I have a Sprint Galaxy Nexus running CM10.1 RC3. I know I must be missing a step or something. Help please.
As I said in another thread, I don't know how to solve it. After updating aospa slimroms camera crashes too.

[CWM ZIP][APP] Original 'Samsung Apps' for CM9 / CM10 | Tested & working

Hi,
I've searched everywhere a possibility to install the original "Samsung Apps" on my Galaxyi9001.
I'm using CM10.1 Slimbean (with CWM 5)..and tried to install the apk after visiting samsungapps.com
Everytime I got a "app not installed" when I tried to run the apk downloaded from Samsung.
After a lots of googleing, failed workarounds and a lots of visits of dead download-links, I've found a flashable zip-file:
I flashed it not only on my i9001, also on a Galaxy W with CM9. Works on both devices fine.
Just flash through CWM and reboot
Don't forget to do a backup before..so try & error and please say thanks
Greetz,
Vamox
Is it running well? I'm on CM10 stable and I'm using TWUX. SamsungApps.apk works well, but my question is, will it run without Samsung framework (Trebuchet etc.)?
It's running well on my Samsung..(without Touchwiz).
I don't know if it will run fine on a phone without Trebuchet etc.
Do a Backup and let us know
I don't really get your interrogations, launcher doesn't matter Samsung store will work on any aosp rom as long as you also install twframework-res.apk and .jar + etc/permissions/touchwiz.xml
Here's a cwm zip with latest Samsung store (called Cento on sgs4):

Ive been looking for these. Thanks.
Please help out somebody
Just Flashed Pardus HD S4 rom on my Galaxy S3 (GT-i9300)
Everytime i flash the cm9/10 Samsungapps zip file , I cannot access my contacts ,phone , music player etc
Rom runs pretty smooth except with this issue
Any Suggestions for a fix?
or if a Fix is not POssible are there any better roms which i could try for the GS4 Experience?
Thans in Advance

[REQUEST] AOSP apps package Android L

I've been using the Android L port and I'm loving it. The only problem is that I hate all the official google apps. Plus the ROM only comes with Google photos. I really want to put something together once the ROM is more stable (although it really is good right now) that includes aosp style apps.
Does anyone know where I can get the apps? Can I just pull them from a custom ROM? Or can someone put together a zip that has a few aosp apps? I'm mainly thinking browser, gallery and a file manager, but suggestions are welcome.
EDIT: I was able to pull the apks out of another ROM, I chose the latest (7-20 at time of writing this) CM11 and put the files where they should be /system/app and I changed the permissions to match other files in the same location. Then I rebooted to recovery and wiped both caches. File manager (CM File Manager) and gallery worked fine, I can't figure out browser though. I found an app on the play store that was an AOSP Browser installer and tried that too, but browser keeps crashing on launch. So if anybody knows how to make AOSP browser install please enlighten me.
Thank you.
