[Q] Is there a way to make notifications fade out to a medium lvl instead of muting? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Is there a way to make notifications play in the background?
Like fade in while the music is still playing then fade out instead of muting music completely?

Did you try going in settings-sound-volume and adjust the levls

Yes, I have everything up. I don't' have a problem hearing them, they play loud and clear. But If I am listening to music instead of continuing music play it stops it until the notification sound has finished then resumes play.
I was trying to figure out if there is a way to just barely fade the music into the background without pausing it.

Music player

What music player doesn't get interrupted by notifiocations. I had previously a rom that when music was playing and a notification was received, the notification was low and subtle. Not obnoxiously loud. Help please.

(Q)- Receiving a call whilst listening to Music

Sometimes when I'm listening to music, as everyone probably does I receive a call. I can't tell when I get the call except if I feel the vibration. And this is the case for all ICS roms! Is there anyway I can change that?

This could be from the music app you are using or just check you notification settings and take out any vibrations
!hit thanks!
This doesn't work. How do I get the music to stop or someway to know I'm getting a call

Some music applications such as Poweramp allow you have the music pause when someone's calling you, triggering the ringtone and vibration, then when you hang up it'll resume your music without you having to do a thing. I really don't know what other apps do this, nor am I trying to advertise it, however this app is one of the smoothest ones I've worked with in terms of being flexible with a lot of things.
Since version 1.3.2 this has been fixed with Mimicry (using the included and excellent Google Play Music). It will pause the music until the call is done and then resume playing after.
It doesn't blast the ringtone out of your headphones, it uses your phone's speaker. I personally prefer that, had a super loud ringtone screw me too many times when I've had audio piped into a car.

Volume Button Music Controls
im used to an HTC that allows you to progress thru your music tracks by holding down on the volume button. Is that feature somewhere in this phablet that i have now?

Id like to know this also. I had this on evo where I can skip songs using the volume buttons not having to take out the phone out of my pocket and get robbed on the train.

I miss this from CM10!
Until someone incorporates that feature into a custom ROM, you can try this:
"Tactile player"
http://purelogicapps.blogspot.com/
I have used it in the past when desperate(when a new ROM did not have track skip volume rocker)
Probably will use it again if I get a Note II
Well I just found out if u use Google play the music player shows up in the lock screen but not with the stock music player tho.

Mine is also not showing the music controls on the lock screen. Tried the built in player and google play. Doesnt seem to be an option anywhere either. Can't wait for a good custom rom that adds this in like on the HTC EVO phones. I do miss that from my EVO Shift.

I'm pretty sure they were referring to the notification bar.

poweramp will you give you lockscreen controls, it is a pay for app, but is a solution
Winamp has a setting to show lockscreen controls. It is a full screen display with album art, prev track, play/pause, next track, and an unlock button on screen. The volume buttons still control volume, not tracks, though.
This is what I did. Just got widget locker now I got my music and weather widget in love.
This is ridiculous, I'm trying to get music controls on the lockscreen also. I'm used to AOSP lockscreen that will put the controls at the top when music is playing. I use this with Spotify and Doggcatcher.
I've found that the music controls don't show up on the lockscreen if you're using "Swipe" or "tilt" unlock methods, but they show up with other security levels.
I would love it if there was some way to get the music controls on the top for the Swipe unlock method.

Notification and music?

Yes, turn notification sound off. Move the slider for notification all the way to the left to turn it off

When listening to music via Bluetooth in my car any notifications causes the song to pause very annoying.

Yes it does, especially if you have a short, high pitched sound it it plays through at 130dB!
I remember using trapster for the first time and hearing that police siren going off, definitely a pulse raising experience!
Even using a UE Boom at a picnic with Pandora, I have to nix notifications as they come through loud.
Not sure. But is there a way to turn this off so that songs don't pause ?

I had to turn notifications off in the phone menu
