Horizontal holster case - Galaxy S III Accessories

I was recently qualified for an upgrade so I decided to get a white S3. Should arrived midweek.
I was thinking about picking up a holster case for the phone so I won't have to put it in my pocket all the time.
I was thinking about picking up this case: http://www.wirelessemporium.com/p-1...zontal-leather-case-for-samsung-galaxy-s3.asp
Does anyone have any experience with this particular case? I'd also like some recommendations if any.

You can try one of these cases:
http://stores.ebay.com/E-Wireless-A...d=139556942&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1581&_pgn=2
but it may be a tight fit...
I am ordering one myself..

Not bad, I'm also looking for a leather case that would take the S3 with a dual layer case on it.

I've been using these cases for a long time. I had a medium for my G1 and G2. Picked-up a large for my GSIII. It is slightly snug, but I'm happy with it. I really like the internal pocket. I use it in lieu of carrying a wallet.
I pick them up at Microcenter, if you have one nearby.

Just in case anyone is interested in this case, I just wanted to let you know it is pretty fantastic. I've had it since I've had the phone (only about 4 days currently) but it fits very securely and the bulk it adds is negligible.
I additionally got the holster for it also and seems to we working securely. Just went out clubbing Saturday night and didn't have any problems with it even while dancing and all.

Thanks for the info, been looking at both the Active X and the Innocase Surface. Still not sure which one I want and too cheap to buy both.
I dont like the lip this case leaves over the screen. i love the cases look though its awesome. I just wouldnt be able to take the lip i dont like that at all. Its deff better looking than the surface case but i think thats what im going with. I did order a TPU case off ebay for $5. Its really nice looking. Idk the policy on links on this site so i wont post but search in ebay S-line case its really nice for the money still waiting on it but i only ordered a few days ago.
I just received the blue case (had to wait a bit, they only had the black one in stock for a while) and I also LOVE it. In addition to looking great, not adding too much bulk and feeling good in the hand, it also makes the volume rocker and POWER BUTTON easier to push. My power button had become quite a pain to push, and this case does a great job of making it easier. I would definitely recommend the Active X case.
does anyone know how this case compares (bulkwise) to the vzw silicon/plastic 2 layered case? I have the vzw one and it is a bit bulky for my tastes so far and it doesnt add much grip.
would you be able to use the holster with the Verizon case (black/red)

Likely not. I haven't tried specifically with this phone, but I've tried with others and it doesn't normally work. They do have a holster / case bundle, which is what I bought, and it works really well.
the holster gets old quickly with a phone this big. the BB is about as big as i would go with a holster

[Q] Thinnest Case?

I was searching around for a case, using this thread (which is amazingly helpful, by the way) and I am still undecided.
I was looking for something that would add minimal bulk to the device, considering that its thinness and lightness were key reasons I purchased a Galaxy Tab.
I was very interested in the Anymode cases - particularly the Slim case - after someone mentioned them on this forum. This case appears to be exactly what I'm looking for, but it has to be imported from Korea.
I am interested in folio cases mainly because they significantly reduce the need for a screen protector. Among these, the rooCase Ultra Slim and the Acase Slim Folio seem quite thin. Does anyone with experience know for sure which one is thinner?
Also, has anyone found some other super-slim cases for their Tabs?
I picked up my Galaxy Tab 10.1 with LTE from Verizon the other day and they had this case available for purchase:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/...ryDetails&archetypeId=12674&accessoryId=47620
I was very happy with it. I think it is just a Samsung brand case. It is very light and has a nice feel to it.

I have already looked at this case, however I feel that it is a little overpriced - not to mention the design flaws that have been mentioned by some posters. Thanks for the input though.

Design flaws or no, that case is awesome. I have had it for a month now, and after using the Belkin folio case, the samsung one is ten times better, and thinner. Also if you use the code SUMMER2011 on the samsung website you will get 15% off your order. Not a bad deal. I wouldnt knock it until you try it first hand.

Thanks for the code
The more I look at it, the better this case seems. It's still a little bit pricey, but it seems to be worth it.
Do you know of any worthy alternatives to this case?
after trying this:
rooCASE Slim-Fit
and
Samsung Galaxy Tablet Pouch
i went with the pouch.
the roocase was nice and slim but did take away from the wow!-it's-light-and-thin factor. i feel any of the cases that stay on the sgt will do that.
one of the main reasons i went with the sgt, like you, was for it's size and weight. every ipad2 owner (almost everyone in my family!) who has played with my sgt has mentioned how thin and light it is, prefaced with "wow!". i love using it naked!
i also have squaretrade insurance just in case i drop it. not saying the roocase or similar would protect it from drops.

I picked this case up at hhgregg for $49+tax and it's quite nice, though a bit overpriced since it probably only costs a couple of bucks to produce.

Yes, I have also looked into this option. It is an attractive alternative to the folio case, for sure.
The Samsung book case will probably be the thinnest option you'll find other than getting an invisible shield on the front and the back and then forgetting about a case completely. I have the book case and although it's got some functional challenges and it's over-priced, the build quality is superb and it actually adds to the aesthetic appeal of the Tab.
I got the roocase and this keeps the tablet pretty thin and light i love that case and i think it's a good buy for whoever wants to buy a thin slim case
Anyone here got the Samsung Book Cover case with the camera hole closer to the locking flap rather than the folding edge? I hate it how my device is upside down when in the 'typing' angle.
I have heard that the only way to overcome this issue is to put the Tab in the case upside down so that it would be right side up in the typing mode.
However, this would completely do away with the camera and headphone jack functionality and is therefore not a real solution.

Leather case for 10.1 Verizon LTE

I've reviewed the various posts, and the only leather case that seems to fit the LTE model is the Samsung case. Can anyone recommend any other cases? Thanks
I actually just ordered this case: http://www.amazon.com/Acase-Leather-Samsung-SCH-I905-Infinite/dp/B005IYBING/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_1
Should be here tomorrow Will let you know how it is. So far its the only one I have found for the LTE version.

What case do you have?
Overall I am happy with my new case. It is a big case however. Some may or may not like that. I do feel that finally my tab is protected if I were to drop it. I do wish that the case did not have so much cushion to it, but its far better than the original Samsung Book Case.

Thanks for the information, Ken.
Verizon has been listing this new case for the past couple of days:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/accessory?action=accessoryDetails&accessoryId=47710
but they don't show stock anywhere. It looks a bit like the ZAGGFolio case, but with a leather cover, a simpler hinge and prop-up leg arrangement, and 50% more expensive.
I'm almost thinking of actually getting the ZAGG even though the sides cover the LTE tab's buttons. Someone in the ZAGG thread mentioned he was using it, but it was covering his buttons (indicating that he was using it with an LTE tab) so it must work, though you would have trouble turning it on and off that way.

Case w/ Belt Clip

My GN arrives tomorrow and of course I'm very excited!
Does anyone wear their GN in a case with a belt clip? I've seen one on a website but the only review said the interior was rough.....can't have that.
If I have to start carrying my phone in a different manner due to the phone's size, so be it - but I'd prefer to have it on my belt.
Thanks for any feedback!
I wear a belt clip with my slacks and tank top.

Thanks....where did you get your case?
any belt clip will do as long as the case you get has a way to attach to it.

Just got the Note Saturday and looking for the same. Not a lot to choose from what I have seen. I saw this on Amazon and for less on ebay. Have not ordered yet. I did order a TPU case and screen protector from Amazon but not sure yet about how to use as a phone, whether in the pocket or on belt...

Hadn't seen this one.....thanks! Did see the horizontal one from the same company. I worry about just carrying the phone around in my pocket.
I guess if the GN gets released in US we'll have more options here.

Me too. I have never carried a phone in my pocket. Right now my note is backing up my skyrocket until I can figure out how to use and carry this as a phone. I prefer to wear on the belt but that seems to be a less popular way these days.

Got this for the streak last year
http://www.amazon.com/Zing-571-221-MPEBK1-Medium-Electronic/dp/B000E6S3TK
I too prefer carrying my case on my belt. Would prefer a horizontal case, but got this one last February. Belt loop through the belt, soft pouch.
Perfect size for the streak.
If/when a horizontal case comes up with a spring belt clip that isn't EXPENSIVE, I'll get one of those, but for now this one serves the purpose.

Thanks P51.....think I'm going to give that one a go....especially since the price is right!
Looks like the medium works based on the dimensions?

Yep fits it without stretching the pouch. Easy to get it in/out of the pouch.
The only "issue" is sort of a shoot yourself in the foot with a gun issue...
Sometimes when I get home, if I'm on the phone when I pull out the belt, I forget the phone is still on there until I hear it thump against the carpet LOL...never had an issue with it being in the pouch hitting the floor.

Hi,
If you don't have any available that is cool. In your research did you find one that did not add to much to the heft. I had a D30 case for my GS2 that saved it several times. Is there anything like that available?
Thanks
For those looking for a cheap but good case , I bought the Minisuit Frost TPU Case for Amazon Fire Phone (Black) off of Amazon for $2.95. I wanted something I could toss if I sent back the phone, but I think I will keep it on. It isn't a heavily armored case, but it is thin, has a no slip surface back, proper cutouts and nice button covers, hard plastic surrounds, and seems to offer decent protection (I dropped the phone once and it survived in this cass)
Buddibox case
I bought a Buddibox case from amazon, was about $10
Very happy with it so far. I like to carry phone on the waist. This case has two parts. One clips on the waist and another around the phone, one slide on the other.
The phone case is rubber with hard plastic skeleton with a stand on the back if you want to keep phone upright for videos. Has 2mm or so lip all around the screen.
The belt clip swivels so one can adjust it for comfort while sitting etc.
cases
hey isnt casemate cases realy good
thats what im puting on my fire phone and have on my htc one m8
