[ROM][CDMA][Kernel] |Oct 25| Energy™ -.¸¸.·´¯ GB 2.3.5 / Lightly Themed ¯´·.¸¸. - - Galaxy Tab Android Development

Welcome to the "Energy" ROM collection thread !
This development thread is the home of my "EnergyROM" custom firmware series for the Galaxy Tab CDMA tablet. Here you will find ROMs that I have created for this device over time. My main goal when putting a ROM together is stability but...
I build my ROMs with four main goals.
Stability through private beta testing before public release
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
Now on to the good stuff...
(You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter)
How to Flash this ROM:
- Root your device
- Install a custom recovery
- Install the downloaded ROM .zip found in post #3
- Make sure to do a Factory Reset / Wipe before installing ROM

ROM Introduction
This ROM is based on the stock gingerbread VZW EI04 release. It features an overclocked (up to 1.2Ghz) kernel rom roderick. It's in ZIP format so it has to be installed via clockwork recovery. It's not an MTD ROM. I recommend converting your stock RFS filesystem to EXT4 before installing this ROM. You can do so with the zip file attached to this post. Just "flash" the zip file in CWM before installing the ROM.
ROM Features
init.d support
Gapps included
Unsecure boot image
Blue highlights instead of green
Deodexed, zipaligned, tweaked
Busybox + runparts, TitaniumBackup
A lot of bloat removed
Updated hosts file for ad removal
Installation from "unknown sources" checked by default
Stock TouchWiz as well as Launcher Pro installed.
Battery charging animation
Transparent pulldown notifications
240 DPI
custom Energy kernel with OC and other features
transparent pulldown notifications
extended power menu
custom bootanimation.zip support and included
voodoo sound v10 integrated (much louder headphone output)
Rooted with SuperSU
Button remapper app built in

Energy CDMA Kernel for the original Galaxy Tab
This kernel should work for both Sprint and Verizon tabs. Please test on Sprint tabs and let me know.
I've decided to modify the stock Verizon Gingerbread kernel to add quite a few more features. Here's what's added:
Overclockable to 1.4Ghz and undervolting support
Increased card readahead value
USB charging in AC mode anyway (you don't need a special cable to charge in "ac mode")
EXT4 support !
Modified recovery to read internal external sdcard partition 3 (mmcblkop3) (for devices with damaged internal NAND chip)
BLN Support (button LEDs notifications)(download the app from the play store to control it)
Added several new governors (smartass, smoothass, lagfree, interactive)
Added cleancache driver
Added support for custom bootanimation.zip and boot logo (encoded in kernel as .h) (bootanimation.zip can be in /system/media/bootanimation.zip)
The kernel came together due to code from various other Samsung devs on our great forum. Thanks for the code go out to supercurio, rodderik etc
Download attached to this post for the Heimdall compatible zImage. Don't forget to UNZIP it first!

Assuming you have a rooted tab and are in possession of the Overcome ROM:
1) Put the Overcome ROM in the root of your SDCARD
2) Reboot to Recovery and Wipe Data and Factory Reset.
3) Wipe Cache Partition
4) Go to advanced and wipe Dalvik Cache
5) Go to the install menu and select the Overcome ROM
When it's finished installing the new system, select reboot and wait for the device to convert to EXT4, a voice will inform you about the process (say hi to Linda )
When it's done give it a few seconds to boot properly. Done, do that same thing when installing Energy ROM.

The script is attached in post #3 along with instructions. Very easy to do. Props to whoever made that script initially for the Sprint tab.

Anyone try the ROM out on a sprint tab yet ? I'm really tempted to try this, but haven't convinced myself to revert from jellybean.
Just brought me back to the HTC touch pro day :good:

The date of the post says march 03. Thats why i asked.
Im using sprint tab. I installed rom and get force closes when trying to install any app. No boot screen on startup, i dont think rod's kernel supports it. My wifi connection drops out from time to time. I think that might have something to do with me using a sprint modem. I had the same wifi problem with galaxy cubed rom and that was verizon. I love the themed look of this rom. It looks really good. I just cant install any apps with out the installer force closing.

Well it won't be a big issue for me to port this to either Sprint or GSM. Much easier for Sprint. If anybody's willing to be a guinea pig for Sprint let me know.
The kernel is actually much more suited for Sprint. This ROM is very similar to Cubed 3, just with a different look. I mainly made this ROM to have something nice for the Verizon tab in my car (which is its main home now.. hehe) and gingerbread is fast, snappy and EVERYTHING works. But you guys already know that...

You don't have to.. backup your stuff and if you don't like this, then just restore your backup. Easy peasy...

Just a heads up, there'a small bug with one graphic in the framework that will cause the Settings app to FC when you try to uninstall an app. I will fix this right away and post an updated ROM at midnight (so its shows as an update goo manager

Looking pretty good man, am downloading now, thanks! Quick Q, is this a continuation of your other thread or will you be supporting both?
Can u flash v3.2 over v3.1? Or would u advise to wipe first?

I was referring to the WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS/Sound/4g toggles we get in the pulldown.
It would be nice if we could change them and add our own, as well as be able to rearrange the whole thing. Something similar to this.. which I realize is Sense based but perhaps it could be ported over? Or maybe it would be easier to port them over from CyanogenMod itself since they are already working on a version for our phone, from what I hear.
oh ok I see, no I won't be doing any mods like that, that would probably take a lot of time and quite honestly I don't know if I could do that, I'm sure someone will release a mod to flash to do it or something, I just don't have the knowledge to do it and I can openly admit it plus I don't want my rom looking like cm

No worries. Maybe an option for screen orientation in the advanced power menu then? In addition to Reboot and Recovery.
It's kinda annoying having to go to display settings every time I want to toggle it on/off (I only use it when browsing websites, webcomics, and such).

Flashed v3.1 yesterday and since then my battery has been on a serious drain. I went to sleep with 97% battery and woke up with 50% (with wifi, bluetooth, gps all turned off). Would reflashing this rom or switching to v3.2 help me out?
---------- Post added at 07:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:21 AM ----------
Please don't freak out on me but this rom or kernel is causing me to get no signal sometimes. I have to restart to get a signal to return
Had your 3.1 version and i loved it except i couldnt overclock with it. If that could somehow be changed i will run that permently! Love the themeing and thanks for your hard work

Are there any other changes between 3.1 and 3.2 besides the scroll?
Just flashed this before I leave for work and put Zedo's v3 kernel on top of it. Looking forward to putting AEMod through my daily routine to see how it holds up.
Thanks for the effort on this!
Flashed this and running the kernel that's packaged with it? I'll report back later today. Thank you for the rom.
Samsung Galaxy S II
Factory Reset?
Flashed your ROM just fine, everything looks fine, but I have a habit of resetting factory defaults after flashing a new ROM (WM6 woes) to make sure the rom and settings are as fresh as possible.
I noticed when I go into settings to do a factory restore, it would restore the original Sprint boot screen and then just hang there. Was wondering if this is normal for all Android roms or this one in particular?
Would it be possible to get a list of known bugs or things not working in the OP? This is pretty standard across most roms. Or.... is the rom already bug free?

I don't know what would be causing 3.1 to drain battery any faster than any other version as nothing has been changed to cause any issues like that, you might be experiencing android os bug that I guess is out that uses a crap load of battery for no reason, you could try a full system wipe then reflashing, I was noticing android os using a crap load of my battery so I just wiped everything and reflashed.

Installation:
0. Use Titanium Backup to backup apps+data (recommended)
1. Please make sure you have the latest CWM Recovery installed from ROM Manager (app in Market). Then enter recovery.
2. Make a nandroid backup!
3. Then "wipe cache partition" and "advanced > wipe dalvik cache"
4. If your not coming from an earlier version of my ROM, you need to "wipe data/factory" reset in CWM
5. Flash the ROM zip
6. Reboot your system. Give it some time, it takes 5-10 minutes
Note: follow all these steps whether your coming from another ROM or upgrading from an earlier version of my ROM
If your not on AT&T (ie your using Bell in Canada), you will need to download APN Backup & Restore from the Market to delete the current APN and then create the APN for your carrier.

Congrats on having the first custom ROM for the Nitro HD.
Beta links have been sent out.
Put the link please!
We have enough beta testers for now, I will hold off sending anymore for now. Thanks for all the interest. The public release should be within a day or two.

this will be the 1st ROM i ever flash!

Hi, Kernelpan1c! Great work!
I would ask from you to release a stock deodexed rom w/o changes.
I really like stock launcher and fonts, and other stock things, but I have not enough knowledge to cook it by myself.
notice any improvement in battery life?? that alone will be worth flashing.

Do it now and work on the fixes you're likely to have to deal with (it's still new so ya know there's gonna be bumps!). Once you're comfy it's working right, then do the ROM...Then work on the fixes with that.
I'm a big proponent of dealing with frustrations one at a time (whenever possible! )
This is what happens when I don't get online much over the weekend... Locked out of trying a new ROM.

I'm thinking the same thing but it occurred to me *maybe* some of those bumps in CWM get ironed out in the mean time. Or is that not likely?
I'm hoping (due to my lack of knowledge re: these sorts of things) for a smooth install of the CWM. It all seems pretty straight-forward but I can get glossy eyed about these sorts of things!

I will do that after this release. I still need to de-odex the rest of the APKs that I took out.
I will probably also release flashable ZIPs to restore apps that people want.

So what makes this rom a "gaming" rom?

I was wondering about it, too. Maybe... overclock?
The normal overclock ...
Hmm, if the purpose of this rom is to gain as much performance as possible for gaming then you should post some typical Antutu / Quadrant benchmarks.
It's called a gaming rom cause, you can play games without having problems with unresponsive 2 finger touch or multitouchscreen.
edit. if your on 2.3.5 why not install nova. its like playing in a keyboard w/o a mouse. Once your left thumb is pressing the joystick you cant look around, just 1 movement then it stops there you have to release left thumb to look again. with this rom you can walk and look around simutaneously.

But me myself havent downloaded yet some hd games I only have 4 games like nova, desert storm, fruit ninja n fn puss n boots.

Regardless, overall touch screen gaming completely sucks in it's current state. The only "gaming" android device worth having is the sony xperia play which has physical controls. Unless you plan on carrying around a bluetooth ps3 controller with you, and even then this device is so underpowered compared to other devices on the market that it can barely run anything 3D. The only 3D android game for the wildfire s that I enjoy and works flawlessly is Speedx 3D and that doesn't even use touchscreen controls.
in 2.3.5 you only get a fancy lockscreen with a broken kernel.
question
this may be a noob question but i have previously updated my wfs to android 2.3.5, so if i flash this rom, will it be like downgraded to 2.3.3?
question
Why did you made a rom from 2.3.3 and not from the latest 2.3.5?
Please post benchmarks. Because if it is under 1900 my rom also could be a gaming rom.

Hmm, I can't see it now but I recall the OP originally mentioning that 2.3.5 had multi-touch issues.

Well I haven't tried the rom but I'd expect having perfect multi-touch would be important to a "gaming" rom than a slightly better 3d benchmark.

Another useless rom. But I like the idea. A rom with just some stuff on it,
overlock with a better kernel, free ram script, adrenalin script and kickass kernel. This would be a awesome Gaming ROM. But i think, making a faster rom than m1ndh4x8r or jxmatteo isn't easy and nearly

Well from my point of view all these non-vanilla roms look the same to me.
If your on 2.3.5 you can install this rom without any problems. It's just like installing an old version of windows 7 but fully optimized, and modded.
It is not an European rom... Can you add more languages?
Gaming
Well guys as far as gaming is concerned I m not having any problem with my 2.3.5 and if antutu 3d bnchmark score is concerned then it could be increased with this post.... It worked on my WFS but didn't make much of a difference.... Well all the work was done by rk0064 so all credits go to him.... The tweak is basically about LG p500 but works also on WFS as both pieces have the same gpu....
Link to the post is
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1530411
and I have a question too.... How much internal space remains after the complete install of this ROM ? Cos on stock install I had around 125 mb and successfully I m maintaining 105 MB on internal memory....
That lib tweak won't work in this rom, also this ROM is designed only for data2sd, its deodexed and has an internal memory of 1-2GB, but if data2sd is not installed you will get only 44mb left.
im still waiting for benchmark score

History of the Conch Republic

This ROM is a debloated version of T-Mobile's Android 4.3 T889UVUCMK7 release. Most, if not all, of T-Mobile's and Samsung's bloat that suck up resources and clog and bog down the ROM have been removed. Everything works as normal, with the exception of not being able to log-in and sync to a Samsung account.
Some features:
*Knox free and Carrier IQ free
*Debloated and Zip Aligned
*Choice of Devil Kernel/Tools Edition D or Stock Kernel Edition S
*F2FS File System Support for amazing write speeds- Instructions below (Requires Devil Kernel - Edition D)
*System Apps Odexed for even faster performance and better battery life
*Framework De-Odexed to allow for custom ui theming
*Viper4Android Audio Mod
*Android 4.4.2 Camera along with stock Samsung Camera
*Choice of Touchwiz or Apex Launchers
*Xposed Framework with Xblast Tools and XQuickSettingsToggles Mod
*A few more goodies
*Yes, it has Wifi Calling and Multiwindow
Above screenshots of customized Apex Launcher with optional XBlast Tools mods and XQuickSettingsToggles mods.
If you're looking for fancy bells and whistles, multiple aroma options, Note 3 additions etc. etc., this is not the ROM for you. This ROM is slimmed down, optimized for performance and will stay that way. You'll find it stable, buttery smooth and with great battery life. Also, with the included XPOSED framework, you'll have the option to customize it pretty substantially with the included modules, or not. You can find many more XPOSED mods available right here on XDA.
Installation Instructions:
-Remove Wifi Patched Bootloader for Edition D if applicable. What? - **more below
-Download your choice of ROM (Edition D or Edition S) to your ext sdcard
-If you have some photos, videos, furniture or anything else that you want to keep, move it to your ext sdcard or your computer.
-Reboot to Recovery and do a data wipe/factory reset, wipe cache, then go to advanced and wipe dalvick cache. Next go to the mounts and storage section of recovery and format system-cache-data-and data/sdcard (NOT sdcard1). Then you should reboot back to recovery and repeat the above wiping and formatting before flashing for proper mounting of your partitions. Latest CWM Recovery or Philz Recovery recommended. If you have issues after flashing with TWRP, switch to a recommended recovery and repeat the complete wiping and formatting process before you reflash the ROM. *if recovery asks you to root, select NO.
-Flash the ROM
-Optional: Convert to F2FS File System (Requires Devil Kernel - Edition D) - see instructions below
-Reboot and profit
ROM UPDATE 2/18/2015
Upgrading for EXT4 formatted partitions: Wipe Dalvik and flash the Anniversary Edition of your choice and you're good to go. No need to wipe anything else.
Upgrading for F2FS formatted partitions: Special Instructions and download below..
Some tips:
-Use the DevilTools App on Edition D to OC, UV, change governor and/or scheduler etc. Scroll to the bottom of the Tweak tab and shut off the 'kernel controls backlight' if you want the ROM to control it.
-ViPER4Android Settings explained here
-Open the XBlast App, scroll down and select Miscellaneous and enable the Advanced Power-off menu. Lots of other great mods here in XBlast too.
-Open the Xposed Installer App, select modules, and put a check mark in the modules you want to use, then select Framework and hit the Install/Update button, then reboot.
-Charge your phone to 100% and immediately wipe your battery stats with Battery Calibration app from the Play Store. This is more important than many people think.
-Matv9 has some great scripts for devil kernel that you can flash through recovery if you want to tweak the kernel settings on Edition 3D. Check out his thread here for more information and downloads.
-Edition D contains Devil Kernel, which is built upon Perseus Kernel sources. If you are familiar with the Perseus Kernel, AndreiLux and his sources did some incredible calibrating of the color norms for the Note 2. This calibration can be enabled within the Devil Tools app by selecting Master Sequence and Register Intercept in the Color Calibration tab, then enable Color Temperature Master Sequence control as shown below. Since by default Samsung's colors are way over-saturated, the colors might initially look dull and whites may have a slight red appearance to you at first, but give it a couple of days and you'll find the color calibration the best you've seen on your Note 2. The white will be easier on your eyes. You can read more about the calibrations in this post by AndreiLux: LINK

Optional - For Advanced Users - This is beta territory! Be prepared to ODIN back to a rooted stock image if you encounter file system errors in recovery or are unable to connect to your network!
The included kernel in Edition D supports Samsung's new F2FS file system format which greatly improves read/writing operations.

Read more about F2FS here: LINK
The ROM flashing script has scripting for EXT4, so you can't flash it to an F2FS formatted partition. (Actually you can, but the flashing process will convert your system partition back to EXT4). If you want to convert to the F2FS format you'll need to download the latest beta Devil Recovery to your ext sdcard.
Download Devil Recovery
OK, now you're ready to rock. Wipe and format everything as outlined above with CWM recovery (except your ext sdcard of course). Flash Edition D from the above link with CWM or Philz recovery. After flashing is complete, don't reboot. Now flash the Devill recovery zip, then reboot to recovery to see the changes. You should see and be in Devil Recovery now. Next make a Nandroid backup of your new install with Devil recovery, and, important, make sure you back up to your ext sdcard (sdcard1). You now have a Nandroid backup of your fresh install.
Next, go to the Mounts and Storage area of recovery and select to format these 3 only:
1. format /system
2. format /cache
(do not format the entry for '/data' - skip it)
3. format/data. /sdcard and secondrom
A menu will appear each time asking you to confirm format and then it will ask you to choose 4ext or f2fs - choose f2fs for all partitions. Recovery will reboot after formatting data. /sdcard and secondrom.
Now, restore the Nandroid you made above from sdcard1 and after the restore has completed you can boot up your ROM. Congratulations! You're now running on Samsung's new F2FS File system format. Amaze your friends!
After you get your apps downloaded and installed from the Play Store and get everything set up to your liking, I suggest you change the Active scheduler in Devil Tools to the newly developed Fiops scheduler, disable Touch Boost, and disable DVFS with the included Xposed module, and reboot for best performance with the F2FS format.
Read more about the Fiops scheduler HERE.
Read more about disabling DVFS HERE.

Upgrading from a previous F2FS installation: A nandroid backup of a fresh install of Edition D has been created so you can update without losing your apps and data. Download the zip at the end of these instructions, unzip and place the folder that's inside into the clockworkmod/backup folder on your ext sdcard. Create that folder if it doesn't already exist. Reboot to recovery (important: you must use the beta devil recovery linked above), go to Backup and Restore/Advanced Restore from /storage/sdcard1 and select the 2015-02-19.12.16.38_Conch_Republic_Anniversary_Edit backup. Then select Restore system (+/- preload). This will install the updated Edition 3D to your F2FS formatted system partition. (No data is touched and you'll keep all your data and settings). Then go to Advanced and Wipe Dalvik. Reboot.
Conch Republic Anniversary Edition D for F2FS (Not flashable):
DOWNLOAD
MD5: Internal. Recovery will automatically check before restoring.
For users that are running on the new F2FS file system format, you will find a folder in /system named F2FS Scripts. You can run these scripts to check file system consistency and for errors.
_____________________________________________
Issue: Cameras not working/force closing: This is a wiping and format issue. Use CWM or Philz recovery to do a complete factory reset, wipe cache and dalvick cache, and then go to the mounts and storage section of recovery and format the system-cache-data-and data/media partitions (except sdcard1, your external sdcard). Reboot to recovery and repeat the above steps before re-flashing the rom. This will insure all partitions were mounted correctly for the wiping and formatting procedure..
**Issue: If you are running on the official 4.1.2 or 4.3 bootloader you are fine and can skip this. But, after flashing the wifi patched bootloader through Odin when it first was first released I started having numerous lockups and random shutdowns. I tried just about every 4.3 stock Samsung rom; stock, devil and agni kernels and it would seem to go away with each ROM or kernel change for a short time but then come back again and again, especially when listening to music. It was the worst on Devil kernel, which has been my favorite kernel since buying the Note 2. I figured I'd try going back to the old 4.1.2 bootloader and see what happens. Since I've Odin'ed back to my previous bootloader (UVBMD1) I haven't had any issues. Huge difference!... I love my Note 2 again! So if you're having mysterious lockups, shutdowns etc. etc. and are running the wifi patch I suggest you revert back to the 4.1.2 version. It takes some extra time but you'll be glad you did. Don'f forget to relfash your carrier's 4.3 modem if you odin back to a 4.1.2 bootloader with a full system image. (post #83 to see how I did it)

I made no modifications to the Samsung Camera. There are 2 Cameras in the ROM. The Samsung Stock Camera and Gallery, and the Android 4.4.2 Camera. The Camera added in the ROM is the same Camera and library files that are contained in my Camera add mod found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2579614
I've had almost 1200 downloads of the Camera add Mod, with one user complaining of force closes and it turned out to be because of a dpi change that he made. Wanam Mod contains the ability to change dpi at a per app level, so if you don't elect to change dpi, you should be fine.

Before I posted the ROM, I tested for almost a week, with several full wipes and re-installations and never had an issue with either Camera. Let's see if others are having the same issue and if so, I'll look into it. For now, try clearing data for both cameras in your application manager and then rebooting.

[ROM] [TW] [4.1.2] NOT NOW v3 FINAL GB27 installed with Aroma 8/5/14

[ROM] [TW] 4.1.2 GB27 Stock Based installed with Aroma running my own Utility Script
This is a completely stock ROM Debloated, Deodex and has had most the system apps moved to "preload" for space saving. I wrote the Aroma Installer Script with the intention of coming back even after you flash the ROM, any ROM really. You can install certain things with the initial install or play around for a bit the run the installer again if you're not happy with the way things are going. It's all up to you. That's why I have based this off a completely Stock ROM.
THE GOODS
*The Aroma script is the key to this ROM This is a first version with more to come.
The script is similar to my "Missing Link" mod in which you can pick just one or as many options as you like with the options having choices to make this ROM your own!!!
The options available right now are;
*Backup your current settings, contacts, text messages, accounts and more. This backup is restorable in recovery so your phone setup will not be needed after flashing the new ROM. This saves the hassle of fixing your sound setting, display setting and so on...
*Wipe options available right now are just plane going dirty no wipe, Cache and Dalvik Cache, the JB 2x's wipe and Media Wipe(w.i.p.) That wipes the folders the build up and don't get wiped (DCIM thumbnails etc...)
*Install ROM,
*Debloat options are; Kobridge's JB 2.4 option and the extreme version I use
then you can start customizing and making this what you want. You will have
*Launchers -
*camera,
*gapps,
*some key apps to help with battery life and performance.
*MODs included right now are
*GB27 AIO Mod V4.5 by Tdunham
*Jellyverse Phone Mod thanks Shadowgod
*Modded Stock Mms
*Build.prop tweaks
*Quick transitions
AUDIO MODS
*ViPER4ANDROID
*Xplosion Audio by bilgerryan
This audio mod combines my previous audio mod with the additions I have added to Project X for an unparalleled Xplosion of sound from your Android device. XLoud, ClearAudio+, Viper4Android, and my own additions combine seemlessly together to give you the most and loudest sound without distortion (YMMV, every device is different). All fit into a 3 MB package.
Features:
-Sony XLoud and ClearAudio+
-Bravia Engine 3
-modified audio_effects.conf and audio_policy.conf
-surround sound added to system/etc
-other Sony files, permissions, and framework
-Viper4Android Equalizer and Sound Enhancement
-Viper4Android xHiFi
Correct driver for Galaxy S2/S3/S4 is CortexA9/15 with Neon, other devices you will have to research
*Beats Audio - This installs Beats audio and EQ. Easy to use and upgrade from stock, but no where near the boost you ge fro ViPER or Xplosion!!!
*options to remove Beats or Xplosion Audio
*Kernel Installer option include Stock or AGATS 1.3.0 or 1.4.2f
*Restore Options. Now you can restore the backup you made of your settings etc..
*Complete ROM theme options (this version includes a full version of Missing Link)
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS :
ALWAYS make a NANDROID Backup!!!
Download the ROM
Flash from recovery (any recovery should work just fine) I used AGAT 1.4.2f and 1.3.0
GO through the options and let the app reboot for you.
If something doesn't work or it didn't flash something you chose, run it again and save the install log at the end. Please let me know of the situation too.
IF YOU HAVE BOOTLOOP
If you do encounter any bootlooping issue from picking options that don't play nice with each other( which I have running EVERY COMBINATION POSSIBLE, including ones that I know won't play together)
*Step 1: get back to recovery ( AGAT 3.0 installs by default to keep recovery options available)
you may or may not see a warning telling you that your system is read only, don't worry I wrote a fail safe script to get you back,
*Step 2: simply choose "Wipe Options" and wipe caches only
*Step 3: now choose "MODS" and "Fix Permissions"
*Step 4: Reboot and let cache build and rom settle before returning to flash more
those step have saved me from my bootloops while testing!! if that doesn't work for you let me know what does and we can share with everyone else. Thanks
CHANGELOG:
v3 FINAL
*added full version of Missing Link (updated with more options) for theming
*changed some of the installer script around for more user friendly use
v2
*Pretty much a new Aroma script to include more options including "Missing Link" like theming options with previews from inside the installer
*added more complete Setting backup that with backup and restore Call Logs, text messages and Bluetooth pairings
*updated the apps offered to the most current versions available
*added Comadose thanks @Goddly and other tweaks to save battery and or speed things up
*the theme options include an all new Not Now exclusive "Chrome Theme" and 3 other complete themes or you can choose Build-a-Theme and go through more individual options with a preview button available to those who want to see(remember to uncheck the box if you want to move on). This make so many options for the look and feel of "your" rom!!

I don't know which shutdown animation I chose, but it made me giggle something fierce. A giraffe on a high dive. It caught me off guard. Nice setup Stang. I installed over Project X 3.6 Black 'N Blue.

Is this rom flashed just like missing link or do you have to do all the wipes first like other roms?

Just like ML. I installed Project X 3.6, then this over it. Just reboot to recovery.

Need a mirror link???
I'm in need of a Mirror link/ Host for this ROM? I guess that dropbox has shut my link due to traffic. If anyone can help me out that would be much appreciated!!! Thank you

Unfortunately I'm just a poor guy just trying to share what I've learned here on XDA. I'm am looking into getting a paid host account till solve this problem. Until then off anyone has an account for a mirror link that would be great?
For those who have had a chance to download and install, are we having success with the install and the options you choose? Has anyone tried the backup/restore settings option? I love this and anyone who flashes a lot of ROMs can appreciate how repetitive it can be setting up the new ROM. Picking your sound, display, developer, security and account's settings over and over again. Now you backup when you have it all setup and my Script will create a NotNow folder on your ext sdcard to restore later. This is just a first version with more to come. Any suggestion's? Mods, apps?

This is super! I finally got a chance to try it out and everything went smooth. I picked almost all of the options, and there are no problems that I have noticed so far. All my apps and data seem to be there. My settings were also there except for my custom ringtones I have on my sd card and assigned to different contacts. Setting my custom ringtones is the one thing I have always dreaded when flashing a new rom. Is there anyway to add this ability to this rom? Either way, I love it. I can't wait to see what you do with the next version. Thank you so much!:good:

I don't actually use the phone part of this phone much, but I was playing around with the custom vibration for contacts and have modified the script to back up and restore those so I'm sure ringtones aren't far off. Do you use a special app for the assignment or the stock one? I will check this out for a release due soon. My androidhost account was upgraded to developer now so I will be uploading soon.

I've been using the stock contacts, but I kind of like the look of exDialer.

It sure is nice to see development continue on our phone. My hat is off to all the dev's. I wish I could do what they do.

That's why I offer testing services, because I can't do what they do. I tried it back when @bilgerryan was on Project X 2.? and things went so south, that I gave up. Worst couple of days of my life. Then I vowed to make a ROM. Vows are made to be broken.
