I think there isn't another method but don't worry, Holo Locker is not lagging so much

Anyone can provide the Jelly Bean theme for CM7?
I'm limited by the location limitation from Google account...
Anyone can post it to XDA or your own online drive?

Can you change the lock screen?

Don't really like the whole swipe-the-lock-screen-off-the-screen thing. Any way of changing to a more basic lock screen? I'm not rooted yet but will be rooted soon

I just installed Magic Locker and it's awesome. There are a ton more options in the Market.
Thanks works much better!
Magic Locker is a good free program.
Widget Locker is much more customizable and better IMHO.
Either is better than stock by far.

Nexus Prime /Galaxy Nexus wallpapers [960x800]+[ICS Launcher]+[Analog clock]+[Music]

Hi all,
I've found the nexus prime wallpapers (very nice!) and decided to share them with you
i've resized them to 960x800 resolution to fit perfectly on the screen.
If for any reason the .zip file doesn't work for you, download the .rar file in page 3 post 26
There's also:
* Analog clock
* Music player
* ICS launcher (3rd party app but 100% working)
Credits to IntelSoftApps (SyndicateApps) for the launcher, Analog clock and music player.
To deactivate the haptic feedback of the 3 onscreen buttons, this is how to proceed :
Settings => Sound => Tick haptic feedback => Vibration intensity (Lower it to the minimum level (0))
Then Untick haptic feedback again and you’re done.
if you like them, just hit the thanks button... it's free
Some screenshots:
It works.
Launcher looks good.
Install it like standard app.
Good work.
Launcher don't work on jvs mod rom!
Wallpapers zip file is empty!

No need for root, just install the apk and download a home manager (free from the market).
is there a way to disable the software buttons seeing as the i9000 has physical buttons?

No, it's not possible for now as it's not a ported launcher but the original launcher designed for galaxy nexus.
Maybe in the future..if a good developer decide to port it to i9000.
BTW, it works good as it is and the software buttons are not a problem, especially the middle and right ones.
has anyone tried some of the other apks?
Give Launcher a try on JVT.
Report will follow.
Props to you, it works (and looks) great.

OBVIOUSLY you didn't read the OP thread title, he wanted to have that effect on his homescreen using TW launcher, so I suggested the easiest way to achieve that. Now, if he had asked how to include the effect on his lockscreen, the answer would've been different. Thank you.

Changing Fire Launcher wallpaper?

Hey all,
Any way to set the Fire launcher wallpaper that anyone's discovered?

currently we just can set the lockscreen wallpaper only. Even using the 3rd party launcher, we cannot set the wallpapers...
I really don't get this from amazon, this is 2014 , and we still cannot just customize the wallpaper ? ha ha
Use Vire Launcher.

Vire
Vire launcher does not let you change wallpapers... You can change the theme and the background will change with it, but you can't change to custom backgrounds...
Unless someone else found a way to do so?

Buzz launcher offers full custom background support, and makes it feel more like an android device. Also, if you haven't already, get the playstore... None of this requires a root. Instructions are here:

Still better than the terrible stock Fire Launcher though... And all the launchers that DO support widgets are stuck with an UGLY plain black background! At the moment, buzz launcher is the best option, until someone either develops a new launcher, or updates an existing one to make the "background" to not be dependent on the system background, but rather be an image placed ON TOP of said background. This would in effect bypass the whole "No background" problem.

Once I installed the Google Launcher and playstore I didn't feel held back anymore from the phone and switched back to the Amazon Launcher. It's my preferred launcher now. I recommend everyone give it a true shot. I just wish they gave us an option out of the box as I feel more people would have tried it out then.
Default wallpaper is cool, i think its not necesary to change it

Launcher Lab
You can only use built in widgets but launcher lab works great and has many themes like themer, have been using it for a month with no forced closes.
Buzz has been the most stable for me themer crashed a lot I'm stock unlocked also glove box dock is really nice on here
Sent from my SD4930UR using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You can change your background now if you have updated to version 4.6.1 You can choose from some wallpapers or your own photo. If not, then try Buzz Launcher, which is the only launcher that i've found so far that has a customizable background. Hope this helps!
I am using nova launcher prime 4.0.1 I think and I have wallpapers/widgets working.
Google Now launch lets you change wallpapers and most widgets seem to work fine.
