Let Chinese site teach us how to install JB with sense4+ without cid check - HTC One X

http://bbs.gfan.com/android-5167985-1-1.html

This was already mentioned several times in xda. Nothing new. Search.

no, this is different. They basically cook a new boot image(merge two boot.img).. see the comments below ,they did succes, and the cid they got were HT_621

Really?? = = I can read chinese and i assure you it's the same method as the one mention in one of the thread here . No new Hboot. Only TRIP's kernel for sense. Bug? No sound and buggy connections.

It is the same way we did. no differents.

htc_621 is not in the list of the CID that we can flash, but Chinese did it

So this is saying I can repack jb boot.img with stock boot.img i can have jb on h3g_001
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium

seems like it had a bug that can't play any sound,phone,speaker,musics...

Does you take a look in development thread? There already have this tutorial and I've managed get it run on my HTC_044 cid on second day leak.
This is old new, the new news i think is, trip 3.4.11 kernel solved the SD bug. that all.

It just the same way we flash ROM with our choice kernel.
Just repack the 3.4.11 trip kernel and flash it into your device, flash rom and flash modules. Done.

I flashed the JB rom with trip kernel, using ordroix jb.. I m cid 044 and the rom boots and work but not all. No sound, no sdcard, signal disconnection. I m on Ics again.

Mike has it I think, Football too.
1. It's a TEST RUU, so you don't wanna be flashing it if you're stock
2. You can't flash a radio on it's own (apparently) as it's different to previous HTC phones

Uhhhmmm... The file has been sent to testers from HTC itself and people who are selected in the One X Elevate group.
The people from the Elevate group (most of them) have S-ON devices... So why wouldn't they be able to flash this test rom... THEY DID!
Only reason for not sharing is that the ROM may have watermarks and that way HTC could easier find the leakers, just like Sniper911 with the Gingerbread leak.
Those of us who have unlocked HOXS' can expect the next update sooner than those who have carrier branded devices.
Just be patient, from what I have seen with the HOX, HTC have stepped their game up in the "UPDATES" department.

I agree and it's awesome we get really great software support from HTC. I have a feeling it's because the International One X wasn't 100% finished with all its optimizations. This is great because us as consumers get our problems and bugs fixed quite fast from the feedback we give them. Unlike most android handsets but I guess you get what you pay for. My CM9 rom s based to the new RUU but I don't think the radio was applied to it. So far development for this phone is going great and I can't wait for an easy S-Off method.

Correct RUU for CID HTC_102?

Hi,
I was wonder if the correct RUU for CID HTC_102 (Germany, I believe) is 'RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260491_signed'. That's the current ROM that is installed as stock on the HOX I have here (that being it's on 1.29.401.11 and has the same radio).
I'd just like to know before I start flashing custom ROMs, it all.
Hi there...I have a request ....if you have the nandroid backup of this rom can you please upload somewhere because I was so excited when i flash the first custom Rom that I forgot to make the backup of my custom rom and i want to go back to custom for the jb official update when will be released...I have the same cid and I remember the numbers from the Rom version was the the same...thanks

[Q] I have already installed JB..whats with this CID??

Like I mentioned in the question. I don't understand this. I have already installed JB roms from the threads in development i.e CM10 and Slimbean JB. Now i read about CIDs. I've also switched between ICS and JB as well. I understand that installing Maximus' JB rom will update the HBOOT to 1.23 from my current .9xx but could someone explain a little better plz
I think i understand after going through a little bit. Basically for the Sense 4.5 you need the new HBOOT 1.xx and to update hboot the cid should match. and the cid can't be altered coz of S OFF incapability of the HOX. am i right??

[Q] HTC One X UK Vodafone

Hey Guys,
tl;dr: is there a list that tells you what rom works with what cid/baseband? and what is the latest ARHD version that works for HTC One X HTC One X CID VODAP001 / Baseband 1.28.161.9 Vodafone UK edition
Full story:
I just lost all my data trying to install ARHD 13 without properly reading the guidelines. lol :*(
My HTC One X is CID VODAP001 / Baseband 1.28.161.9 and obviously not compatible with all the jelly bean roms.
Then i tried installing the ARHD 9.7.2. rom and that didn't work either. I got it installed but when i tried booting it for the first time it would crash and just reboot and to the same all over again.
So now i am back on the old RUU vodafone official release which is full of bloatware and just drains the battery so much faster.
I am wondering how would i know which ARHD is suitable for my device? Or is it all trial and error? And is there a repository for the older versions of ARHD. Same question for CyanogenMod?
Thanks for your help!

In a word - none. There is no custom JB ROM that could work on your device.
Sorry, mate, you'll have to wait, or flash ccustom ICS ROM and enjoy. Or, do both.
But arhd 972 would've been a ics Rom right?
What is the latest arhd that works on mine?

You're right, 972 is an ICS ROM.
I'm personally not using ARHD, so I wouldn't know which one to recommend, honestly. Try reading Mike's thread, and I bet you'll find the answers.
I could also recommend you the ICS ROM that I am using. Or eve better, try few ROMs for a few charge cycles to kill time until JB is released.

i am totally willing to do that! and yes would be very interested in the rom your using... i just want none of the sense bloatware and speed and battery improvements.
i did just now try
numero1 rom
renovate ics version 5.8
they didn't work either for their newest iteration based on ICS... i just think its so odd that none of the ICS work for me...
i am going to try this one now: viperX v2.7.1 (Sense 4.1)
i did sift through quite a bit of mikes thread but to be honest i had a hard time knowing what is relevant for me and what issn't. i understood i should've gone for the ICS build but once that failed i don't even know where to begin searching for the problem..
yeah viper 2.6 or 2.0 didn't work either... they boot then they crash... not much options it seems for this device....
Sounds like you're not wiping the cache and dalvik cache. ARHD 9.7.2 should work, you can use the superwipe.
Hi ben thanks for your reply. I ran the wipe script provided on the arhd thread i run it everytime i install.
But its good that you let me kmow that arhd 972 should work then i can look for solutions.
Any more ideas?

I'm with Vodafone and have a VODA CID but am running ARHD 9.7.2. You only need to check your cid number for Jelly Bean roms
When you installed 9.7.2 did you flash the boot.img for the 9.7.x rom? Not flashing the boot.img will cause the boot loop error you got
Also did you do a superwipe? You need to do this if coming from another rom including stock rioms.
When changing roms you will loose all your data on the phone memory so do a backup. The data on your virtual sd card (photos etc) should still be intact.

Hi there!
yes i got it running. My god its such a difference!!! i had arhd v6 running for a long time then i had the very first RUU running for a few days... now i REALLY appreciate the speed and efficiency of that rom. I have the suite tools on there as well. Love it!
I love maximzing battery run time... I have juice defender with rather extreme settings.. but if you got any other pointers on how to make it last long time always appreciated! did you try other roms as well?
I was also wondering about the rom cleaner. I still have a lot of apps on there that i don't use like teeter, htc notes, htc locations stuff like that... can i remove that with rom cleaner? or is it good enough to user titanium backup to freeze them?
thanks for your reply!

Right now i dont remember exactly where i have seen it otherwise i would have attach link here. but if its wrong then its my bad. Basically my problem is i m trying to flash PACman ROM (or some other custom ROM) on my HTC one x but i m getting error like status 7. I even made changes in script of ROM also i have updated my CWR still facing the same problem, unable to flash ROM. So finally i came to know it might be bcz of older version of HBOOT so wanted to update it. Any help would be appreciated.
