Best car holder/mount for tablets

I have searched a lot about car holders, especially for tablet ones. The problem is that it's hard to find good reviews on the internet and it's even harder to find out how stable or shaky the given holder is while driving, which is exactly the most important thing to me, also it should be universal. Here are some variants:
1. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exogear-E...tem1c34c9bf1b&clk_rvr_id=520752103178&afsrc=1
2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XENOMIX-S...tem41768b0d4e&clk_rvr_id=520748726197&afsrc=1
3. http://www.ikross.com/IKHD12-Car-Dashboard-Mount-Holder-iPad-/-Tablet#
4. http://www.iottie.com/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=970&ProductType=321
5. http://www.arkon.com/tablet-accessories/tablet-quick-release-sticky-dash-mount.html
I assume that in any case I will add some kind of shock absorbing material at needed places to reduce vibrations. I would appreciate any opinion from others, maybe someone has got an experience on these things?
Some reviews:
Exogear/XENOMIX/Kropsson:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juK-v8YCI-k
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FDNxdrTYkg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoGJnpwee08
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbLiNaGT9W4
Iottie/Ikross:

Arkon:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkgffRvAM2c

Arkon has really specialized equipment. Of course a full dock holder type is the best, but those are either expensive or not universal.
I guess I already replied to your question in AndroidForums (where you posted under Klaidonis, and I post under twister6) I'm active in both communities and mirror my reviews. So, just check out my reviews (either from the link I provided to you in AF or in my sig file here). You might want to try a few and see which one you like better?

Thanks a lot!
I bought that for my son's nexus 10:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0072LATE2/
Nothing to say about it except that it does the job perfectly. You can easily move it from one row of seats to another, even to another car. Attaching or detaching it takes just a few seconds. It's solid and doesn't shake when driving.

That headrest mount is AWESOME!!! I reviewed Slim Grip Ultra with that headrest extension here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174449
Just in general, I reviewed a lot of car mounts (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192333) and always look at overall pictures of quality and support, and it always narrows down to Arkon. Plus, for a lot of their latest products they have lifetime replacement policy if anything breaks - they will replace it at their own cost (that company been around for 25 years).

Thanks for the link. And I agree about Arkon: when searching for mounts I often end up choosing their stuff.
I recently bought an Arkon visor mount which I think is a nice alternative to the usual dash/windshield mount. Are you interested in me adding a review of it to your thread? I don't seem to find anything similar there.

I have tested every single car mount (all my reviews are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192333), and found this one to suite my needs the best for Note 2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174449
The only problem you are in Prague, so you have limited choices where to buy it.
Thx for help. Arcon is not problem, Ebay save it...

Do you have it and actually use it? To be honest I have no idea how a bunch of small suction cups can hold a big/heavy phone or attach reliably to a textured case, etc. It looks like it could only work on a smooth surface without any texture or bump and definitely will not be able to accommodate a phone with a case. So it will be risky if your phone is attached naked to the back and you go over the bump where it can drop down in the car unprotected.

[video] Car dock for the OnePlus

Hello -
The video below is my review of the Satechi smartphone CD slot mount. As you can see in the video, this unit mounts to the CD slot of your car stereo and perfectly holds the OnePlus One. Enjoy.
Hope you enjoyed. Check out my other videos:

Thanks for this.
My window mount will be obsolete due to the size of the OPO so... Not to mention I don't feel like having a huge phone taking up my window space so something like this will do.
Nice! I'm not sure my current iPhone holder (suction type) will work for my OPO
The Satechi has worked perfectly with my Nexus 4. Good to know it will fit my incoming OPO just as well. :good:
Nice solution ... very nice with the double tap to wake. I forgot how handy it will be in the car. Too bad I have a navi and my slot is covered with the display :X
+1 from me
Nice video, thanks for that. But it would have been fantastic if you drived and recorded for a while, so we can see whether it's been shaking too much while driving (seen a lot of complains for similar gadgets on amazon).
Or can you share your experience with this while driving?

For European buyers there is same product with different name from UK seller eBay
great video very informative! really want to buy one now!!

Thanks for the video. Looks like a good product. Might have to order this as I need a good car dock.

What's the widest it opens? Wondering if it would hold my Xperia Z Ultra.

Great find. Ordered one, came the other day, loving it! I turned mine upside down to not block the AC vents and some stereo controls. Really nice dock.
Vertical?
i know he showed how the phone mount itself could be turned around
but after putting the phone in, would you be able to use it vertical/portrait orientation, he never quite showed that
would it just slip or fall out

No problems setting it in portrait. The spring clip is strong enough to hold the phone.
I got this dock after watching the OP's youtube video. It's good stuff!
Must have bad luck......Doesn't fit my 13 Taurus (opening is too big for the "jaw" to grip) or my Wife's 13 Acadian (hits the station preset buttons)......
Good product.....well built......just make sure you measure the 4 to 6mm opening it works for.......

Did you try the included spacers to increase the thickness of the part that you insert the CD slot? That could help.
You can also try to flip the thing upside down to see if that fits in your wife's car. I had to flip mine upside down for my 2006 Mazda 3.
Just ordered mine on amazon after watching the video. Thanks!

Desktop Cradle for Oneplus X?

Hello,
Will there be cradles specially made for the Oneplus X? I currently own a Nexus 5 with a KiDiGi cradle.. I'd love to have one fit perfectly as well!
Thanks.
I haven't found one yet that is specifically for the OPX.
But I do know that the connection on the OPX is oriented that same as the Nexus 5, so maybe it will fit in the same KiDiGi cradle. (the width of both phones is exactly the same, the OPX is a little thinner and a little longer)
But yeah I agree that a cradle with perfect fit is always better than a universal one

Tried that! Without the cap that's ment for Nexus 5 with cases, it's actually working quite nicely.

Ordered and tested. A short review for the Dutch and Belgian users below:
- Delivery: was fast and good via DHL without additional costs. I ordered it yesterday (Netherlands)
- Looks: clean, personally I really like it
- Fit: is very good, the micro usb is adjustable which is a good thing. It is not that easy to plug it in though. Maybe I need a little bit of training, if not I will order a QI one instead*.
- Charging: fast, 85 minutes for 30 to 100%.
If anyone finds a good looking qi docking or cradle (not a ridiculous charging "plate" like Samsung has for the S6), feel free to post below!

EZIO Key Hook from Sony webshop

Hi guys,
I have been looking at getting the standard rubber strap replaced for some time now, but sadly no strap or core holder was available at the Sony webshop in my country. Suddenly the EZIO key strap appeared out of nowhere. Nothing can be found about this around the web. As it is cheaper than buying the core holder of off ebay and didn't specify in the description if the core holder would be included in the box, it was a cautious purchase.
Here's the unboxing:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSI8Vop9lzM
Also a quick review:
The key hook is useless, but if you need a core holder to hook up to a normal 24mm watch strap (as I did), it is worth a purchase, as it's cheaper than just getting the holder from elsewhere.
Link to buy, please.

I just ordered one today so should get it tomorrow Excited to see my SSW3 with a more Casio-like divers band instead of the metal band I bought it with.

Sure, here you go: https://estore.sonymobile.com/gb/ezio-key-hook-for-sw3-beige-288856/ - seems to be available for purchase in most European countries
Oh my god, its thing i am looking for, and its not available at my country
Ok, what's the benefit ? It's a swatch with only vibration, no sound.
Vibrations are transmit to your handle ! How can you be warned if it's on your belt !)
