Sense Question - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im running the latest OTA on my dinc, I was wondering if there is an easy way to put the sense 2.1 status bar in sense 1.0 for the convenient quick settings tab, or is that doing some major customization work?
Thanks.

There is quite a bit of work involved in getting the quick settings working on 4.08.605.15. I managed to get qs tab and advanced power menu to work on my rom Touch of blue which is based on 4.08.605.15. However the qs tabs descriptions are wrong, they say low memory or low on space instead of on or off. Everything else is perfect and functional. I had to take a mod from the original gb ota, and modify it to get it to work. I just cant figure out the qs descriptions. There are several system files that need to be edited to get it to work. You could always try my rom. Its mostly stock just with a slight blue theme and the advanced features everyone wants. You can find the link to it in my sig.

Well, I don't know of any easy way to do that, but you should check out some apps. For example, I am running a Jellybean rom and I do not how the quick settings in the status bar. so, what i did is i downloaded an app called "notification toggle" from the play store. It is free, works well, and it does what it needs to. It also has a brightness and volume slider. check it out.

[Q] Removing clock from notification bar

I looked around the forums here and on the internet and cant seem to find a mod to remove the clock from the notification bar. I have found some that put my phone in a bootloop but nothing for the EVO. I am running Azrael's 3.0 rom currently and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks!
I don't think that there is one available yet that doesn't break the quick power bar in the drop down due to 3.70 uses an all different framework than 3.30 did.
Thanks for the response. Well hopefully someone soon can incorporate this because I think it would be a nice option.

Actually I already made one.

[Q] How Do I Get Taskbar Settings?

I used to run Synergy on my Evo, and I just switched over to Fresh. Is there any way to install the quick settings in the task bar on this ROM? That was one of my favorite parts of the old one, and I'd really love to have it again!
The thing I'm talking about is when you drag down the notifications menu, it shows two tabs on the bottom, "Notifications" and "Settings", and you just tapped settings and it brought you to a huge list of different toggles.
Thanks in advance everyone! I really appreciate all the help I can get
~Scott
The other Rom you were using (Synergy) is based on Sense 2.1 and 3.x. Fresh is based on the Evo stock rom which uses Sense 1.x. There are some apps that will replicate this functionality, but you wont get the notification toggles in anything with Sense 1.x stock.
I believe you can use something like Widgetsoid (from the market) and create a notification toggle with that, but I've never done it myself. Search for notification toggles in the market though. I'm sure you can find something.

[FIXED] Themes breaks Quick Panel Settings?

Hello all! First off, I'm ashamed to say that the posting of my first thread here on the SE4G forums is a problem that may or may not be solved, but I need help with an issue I'm running into on multiple roms, and I couldn't find an answer anywhere here on the boards or on Google, so here goes:
Every time I flash a new theme, it ALWAYS breaks the quick panel settings (Or the status bar power menu if you will). Now when I say break, I don't mean it completely screws up, it still works, but I only want four icons on the quick panel: Wifi, Data, Sound, and Airplane Mode. I reboot, and try to reset the panel settings to see if the unwanted buttons will go away, but they stay there, even if I check EVERYTHING, it's the same 5 buttons, and not even the different sound/vibration options work. Like I said, quick panel settings work only if I'm on the stock version of the rom, but as soon as I flash a theme, ANY theme, it breaks. What gives?
The quick panel settings mod modifies SystemUI.apk. SystemUI dictates how the status bar and notification area should look and act. So when you flash a new theme, it overwrites said modifications rendering the quick panel settings application useless. The theme you choose to flash would have had to implement the quick panel settings mod to not break it. If you have a theme that you would like to use the quick panel settings with, you will need to ask the themer to add it, add it yourself, or flash a theme with the mod implemented. You could flash the quick panel mod again, but you would lose theming on the status bar and notifications area.
If you have a theme with the lock mod and not just the quick panel settings mod, try going into settings and searching through lockscreen parts. There will be plenty of options to mess around with. There is an option for the quick panel widget.
Hope that helps! It would suck if I wrote that out and it didn't.
P.S. Excellent paragraph. Proper grammar and spelling make me smile! It shouldn't, but this is the internet and people are stupid.
I'm not 100% sure what could b going on.. but does the theme u have include a lockmod??
Can u be more specific please.. what rom are you on now? And what theme do u flash?
If the theme u flashed has a lockmod then quick settings panel won't be any help to you
You have to go to settings>lockscreen settings and look for the settings for the widgets in the status bar section there u can check whatever u want and don't want and change order

Right now I'm on CleanGB. But no matter whether it be CleanGB, StarskyROM, MarcusantROM, etc., if it's based on the EI22 rom, it breaks. And I also flashed the ICS AOSPlock theme. I've tried a couple other themes are as well (Stock EI22 theme, the Sony theme, etc.) they break it too. Maybe it's an EI22 thing? Or maybe my phone just hates themes.
EDIT: I totally didn't see your post there, darkierawr lol. Thank you for the bit of info though! I recently seen that Gitusum has recently left us here at XDA, so maybe we won't get an update on his ICS theme. But again, thank you! I finally have an understanding of whats going on and can now begin looking for resolutions to this issue.
EDIT 2: ************* HUZZAH!! Got it working =D Gitusum has an addon called the scrolling status bar, so I flashed that, and then nothing. Then I went back to CWM, mounted /system, flashed the .zip again, and SUCCESS! Thank you guys once again for pointing me in the right direction. XDA coming through to help out the less experienced once again! Haha. Now all we need is a mod to lock this thread, or possibly leave it up just incase anybody else runs through the same issue, and not only with the ICS theme?

[Q] Android 4.2 mod or rom for old AOKP toggles.

I'm currently on android 4.1 with an AOKP-based rom. I've been looking at several android 4.2 roms and while some of them look like they've got a lot of great features, I really don't want to give up my current toggles. I don't like there being a separate pane/tab for toggles in the notification menu (along with having an extra step to switch back and forth). I don't need a lot of toggles and currently only have 4 at the top of my notification pane (with a brightness slider above them). Does anyone know of a rom that supports the old AOKP toggles in android 4.2 or a mod that can add them? Failing that, is there any mod/rom that can at least show toggles and notifications in the same pane without having to switch back and forth?
Thanks in advance.
I currently use CM10.1, and you can have Quick Settings, the power widget, both, or neither.

Ditto for any CM10.1 based rom. Which is a lot of them.
There's even a handy toggle for right swipe to quick Settings and left for normal notification bar. Made power widget obsolete for me.

Do you recommend any particular CM10 based roms? I've been using mostly AOKP based roms (pre 4.2) but none of the 4.2 AOKP roms seem to have this feature.

[Q] Two Questions About 4.1.2 Notification Interface

1. Does anyone else find the notification font to be too big? If it was smaller, I could see more detail, in say, the Gmail notifications. Is there a way this can be changed? Also, is this different on any of the custom TW roms based on this new T-Mobile base?
2. The quick toggles are missing the data toggle. Same questions here: can this be changed? are there custom TW roms that have this? (I believe yes, since all the custom 4.0.4 roms I had included this useful toggle.)
(Note: I'm only interested in custom roms that include Wi-Fi calling, but please feel free to answer generally to help others who stumble upon this thread.)

I'm not sure about the notification font but I think you can just go into the display settings, reduce the font and see how that goes, and for the data toggles I do have one (I'm using the jedi mind trick jb rom by ptmr3) it is also customizable too.

I was also quite surprised by the large font size in the notifications which made everything quite crowded in there. The Display font size in settings does not affect the notification fonts unfortunately. Luckily, ptmr3's Jedi Mind Trick JB includes a nice fix for this with the Per-app DPI settings.
1. In Settings, Jedi ROM Tricks, Custom Framework Install, make sure the Framework is active by clicking Install / Update
2. At the same place, in the Modules tab, make sure Xposed App Settings is checked
3. In Settings Jedi ROM Tricks, Per-App DPI Settings, search for systemUI.
4. Toggle the switch to ON and set DPI to 200 or 210 (I use 210). Leave everything else as is.
5. Click the Save icon in the top right
6. Reboot phone and profit!
As for your second question, JMT JB does include a Data toggle

Right now I'm on the stock official JB release. I've changed the font size under the display settings to tiny, and everything seems much better now. Also if you go into setting in the Messaging App you can check a box to allow the volume rockers to change the size of the messages. This also helped me as I didn't like how big the bubbles were by default. Once you are in a convo you can press the down volume to make everything smaller.

Changing the font size in the settings does not affect the Notifications, but in general I like the small font everywhere. Next weekend, I will probably reroot. I wanted to give stock a chance. The last 6 months I've been bouncing between Infamous 3.1 and Jedi Mind Trick. I will probably give the new Jedi ROM a try.
