he, did you think that the twice more capacitive battery would have the same size? it's mugen power 1700mah for you then
i just cannot understand looking on photos if the cover is as sexily rugged as stock one or just glossy and ****ty?
and having a photo and some stats of owning such an uber-brick is also desirable.
a friend of mine owns a galaxy note with 5400 battery, it makes the phone extremely heavy and large... but epic long-lasting! so i'm just waiting fore some info to make my wonder the same)

like every ion battery you must drain it first until your phone shuts down then you must charge it for about 12 hours
a hole night. the next 5 days you must do the same drain him to 0 and charge 12 hours

I'd avoid these gold batteries. They actually have much smaller capacity and are generally considered cheap ****. You can get them in any mah, which means something is wrong. Read reviews on Amazon (just search gold battery). However, they are cheap so it doesn't hurt much to try one...

I'd rather buy another phone with higher cap battery I bought elf for it's size. If they manage to fit a high cap battery in the same case that would be more attractive to me
I have such a contraption for my universal. I wouldnt buy one for my touch, unless is has a the same form factor as the original.

Well if it is 90% larger then I expect it to last 90% longer or so.
I think extended batteries are the ugliest add-on to a phone.
Lol... i´ve seen a back-up battery (1100 mAh) from this manufacturer (got the same label) on ebay a couple of days before. Selling price was 1,99 Euro (!!!) without shipping.
And now tell me, what quality you can expect for a price like this? Maybe you should order a fire extinguisher too .

The new CDMA Touch will have a more powerful battery to handle the 400 mhz and 3G (1150 mAh vs 1100 mAh). If they are the same size then I will buy one of those batteries and stick it in my current Touch.
Yep. Seems to be the better idea, if 50 mAh makes the difference.
Rather buy a spare than have that hump on the back. So far I've been pleasantly surprised with the life I've been getting out of the Touch.
Or you can try this:
http://www.proporta.fr/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=2725&t_mode=des
Really cool, and you can charge your device and other like iPhone, etc. it's bigger than a spare battery, but also lasts longer, you can take this and your phone and it'll hold a week maybe
Damn, I wish I could use photoshop.
This thread is crying out for a good picture of a touch with a car battery coming out the back.

well, i give then kudos for trying at least but that sharp step on the back of my touch to accommodate the bigger battery is not exactly what i would want .
If i am working long periods on my touch i just plug it into the mains and use it while its charging for now until at better battery (with same size) come out on the market, its just a matter of time.

Thx for the feedback mate.I have a question,
Does it show u that 2430mha capacity in battery monitor widget app?
If so, i'm willing to give it a try.
By the way, how long u been using it? & the performance vs the stock battery is huge or not that much?
cheers
I've started to look at a bigger battery as well apparently Mugen is the best but the battery is only 1500 mah and I've read somewhere than the bigger battery are harder to insert in the phone.
I'm not I'd be ok to put a 20$ battery in my phone...

Also is Sun Global a reputed company or is this like one of those Chinese gold battery makers?

Im using Gold battry chinese made.
3250mah and its real and fits perfectly without changing any back cover.
I have tested alot on this battry and compared the resualt with orginal on.so i can confirm 50% more juice. And its a bit heavier.
For me with HSPA alway on + no wifi + lots of CPU usage on max will give me 5hour screen and 24+ hour power on.

Sun Global Batteries are made in China using "Japan Technology" says so right on the packaging. I just bought one for my wife's Note. First impressions are that it's a sung fit in the battery compartment, but battery appears to work well. It's only one day old so we can't tell if it lasts any longer yet.

Polarcell 2700mAh great battery life

A few weeks ago I purchased one of these Polarcell 2700mAh batteries.
It took a few cycles but now the battery life is amazing. Yesterday I had been texting and chatting on skype pretty much all day and I was surprised my battery wasn't empty yet so I went into the settings to check my screen on time.
My screen brightness was on auto and I don't have any apps like noled that keep the screen technically on but don't consume a lot of battery. All I did was use Skype and Gosmspro.
So if anyone is looking for a replacement battery, I can recommend the Polarcell 2700mAh..
Bravo. Although a stock battery can be as good as new.

Could you please post screen shot of your About Phone with details of Rom/Kernel you're on? Thanks
Does it lose its charge in the next few weeks?
are these batteries the same dimension as the stock one? I mean, do I have to use a different back cover(bulky phone)?
@Octhellio which rom and kernel do you use ?
Been using a polarcell 2700 for a few months - and no matter what rom/kernel(both TW based or CM/PA/AOKP) I have been using - it holds its charge extremely well Worth the $$$

Are you using an AOSP based ROM or TW based? That's quite impressive is AOSP. I have 3 batteries and have my cellular signal off with brightness often at the lowest and get 4.5h maximum (batteries not too old).
Your android system usage is a lot lower than mine, what were you using it for?

estimate date to delivery?
A few minutes ago I purchased it too, delivery is scheduled between the 23rd and the 26th of this month: D
I'm charging the battery! How many hours must be under load?
After 42 days, finally my batteries has come! (It´s sadly live in Brazil because of dollar conversion and time to receive Ebay things)
I put it on my phone and tried to use the 58% of charge that is inside.
I played 3 games and really feel that the battery discharge much more slower than my older one.
After 2h18m of screen time, it has 28% left!
I used 2h18m games/internet/youtube and it only discharge 30% (it´s a record on my phone)
Buuuuuuuuuuuut, it´s only the first impression...
Today I will fully charge the phone and do some tests...
I come back soon with my impressions.
Best regards

Battery life on the s2 to me sucks anyway you look at it ..well in my expierence at least. I have a mega so I guess its hard to expect it to keep up.I bought a anker battery for my s2 and it works well but I probably will sell my s2 cause I can't get it to last a full day. Good luck with that battery but from my experience any battery that says it has a bigger mah and same size is a fluke. Mugen is a good company to try if i were you. Cheerz

Have you tried the LAZA batteries? They're AMAZING! Sure it makes the phone have some more heft and make it look a bit bigger but hell! It lasts me a couple days without charging and I haven't even came CLOSE to running down the battery entirely to 0%. Usually I make it through my day with at least 40% when I put my phone to charge at maybe 11:30pm-12am, my day starts at 7:00am.

How is this battery? It looks suspicious to me. Chinese batteries found on eBay tend to have exaggerated mAh values...

Nice, I'm waiting to hear if its good. On a side note, does it have NFC? The site doesn't really specify.

Is the battery life better than the stock? Like is it actually a bigger difference than what it was before?
Oh and try out NFC if you can
