Notification App - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Does anyone know of an app that will flash the LED next to the camera when a text or any other notifications arrive?

Light Flow or Light Manager

Thank you. Ill check them out!

I've never liked the LED, probably because my old Vibrant doesn't have one. I use "NoLed" (free in the Playstore) on that and on my SGS3. It is far more useful than just a flashing light. If you use it, be careful of the settings. You have to set it up right for your specific needs or you'll get battery drain.

This didn't work on the Epic 4G, would be nice if it worked on this device? Is it only red and blue or is it multicolor?
Seems to work fine...

If anybody uses go SMS you can change the led to a couple different colors and even change it for individual contacts
Epic 4G touch only has 2 colors for notification LED - Red and Blue

I'm using Handcent & I got a magenta light for when my girl texts me. I did choose the color "green" tho.
I am getting three color choices with Light Flow paid version. Blue, red and purple.

what are you talking about, Purple does not work with paid version, it's red and blue!!!
Purple is a choice in the paid version for me. Of course, the actual color is more like magenta but it does work. I have Direct Mode checked in the General Settings menu.
Good to hear some feedback on this...similar results here. Wishin we had more color options!
I've only found three that work:
setting > looks like
Blue > Blue
Green > Purple
Red > Red
Purple is of course just red+blue lit simultaneously.
This is in Pro version, NOT Direct Mode.
White = fast blinking red color.
Also I noticed that the led stays lit for a long duration of time when you choose red or blue. Then it blinks off really quickly and back to on...kind of like the reverse of how it is normally. Any way to fix that?
Thanks for pointing out that white will rapid flash. That is just what I needed!
this did not work for me at all? does it only work on rooted phones?
Dont know if anyone uses kicker but my led stays magenta when I get a message

Hi
Just for info. There shouldn't be any difference between the free version and the paid version of LightFlow for color controls as they both use the same code. The only differences are the length of time it takes to cycle around the notifications and the number of apps supported.
As for the colors, the app just sends an ARGB value to the phone (when running in standard mode) and then it's up to the phone to work out how to interpret it. It's good to know white allows for rapid flashing (odd interpretation there samsung, but at least it's more choice). This is the quote from the android development documentation regarding color representation "Not every color in the spectrum is supported by the device LEDs, and not every device supports the same colors, so the hardware estimates to the best of its ability."
If anyone wants to have a play with the app "LED color tester" by coolbeans in the market to see if they can get any more colors (e.g. rapid blue flashing etc) then let me know and I'll try get the extra option put into lightflow. Note, to test using LED color tester, you'll need to uninstall lightflow first as lightflow will take over the notifications, preventing control by the tester app.
Direct mode writes to the files directly in unix that control the leds. At the moment it'll write out a 0 or a 1 to the brightness file for either the red or blue led. My guess is that some other values allow for the flashing. If only there was some consistency between phones, things would be so much easier! I'm also planning to add the option to allow custom brightness values to be sent for the leds which may help control things a little more.

i too use lightflow i love it and you can change the pulse rate of the LED and much more!
Some apps can also configure the notification light autonomous. Like with whatsapp for instance you can chose a green (or any other color) light in the settings.

thanks for the fast help, the LightFlow tool works perfectly.

Control of notification light

Didnt see any info on this, i was wondering if there is a way to control how fast the little ball notification at the bottom was able to be controlled. I loved on my evo that i could set it to fast so a quick glance would tell me if i had any new notifications. Just seeing if this has been implemented on the GNex yet.
Thanks
There is absolutely no way that you didn't see any info on this unless you just didn't search. It's been discussed 1000's of times.
Download Light Flow (Free) or Light Flow (Paid).
Paid gives you the option to let the light "change up to every 2.5 seconds".
everyone is going to say light flow
light flow. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...29uc3VsdGluZy5hbmRyb2lkLmxpZ2h0Zmxvd2xpdGUiXQ..
Yea, lightflow however it is said it might eat a bit of battery, shouldn't be dramatic though.
On the other side, it would be awesome if Google would add a native feature to control the LED color the same way it allows you to select ringtones for Messages, Calls, Emails...

It seriously does not effect battery life.

LED Notifications- which program?

Hello!
I am looking for a program for LED notifications. Which program allows to the LED lights all the time (when the screen is on). I tried Ilumination Bar(softkey always on), but the LED is blinking.
Best regards and thank you in advance for your help!
And, your question is?

LED is blinks
It's not if you choose the option (light tab)->speed->always on
I did it, but LED blinks
Custom API
I think the notification LED isn't implemented using the standard android API. There is an API on the Sony Developers website called light effects. Hopefully, custom roms made for this phone will use the standard implementation method. For now on stock rom, someone would have to write an app to do it. I might ask the publisher of lightflow to add the lighteffects API.
GOOD NEWS!!
I have contacted the developer of lightflow. The developer says they will add illumination bar(the proper name what I thought was called sony light effects) support.
Great!!! I hope they make it soon.
Wait no longer

I tried it today. It works!!! Make sure to go into settings>display>light effects. Leave notifications on, but set all colours to off.
I'm in UK. On f.w 15.1.c.1.17
How can I set to the LED is always on- when I use a screen?

AFAIK, It's a limitation of stock rom. LED can only be controlled on lock screen and screen off. If you select always on, it may flicker slightly.

LED Notification light control

Is there any app that could control the speed of our notification light. I find the stock blinking slow. I am using Masik 1.7 (MIUI Custom ROM)

You can try Light manager from Play Store, but I'm not sure that it's possible, I think it has a fixed blinking rate and delay.
@rsblue
I"ve tried Light Flow. It can force a certain notification to trigger that tiny LED, but you wont be able to concoll how. In my case (PE rom) it would be blinking (faster than on stock) but only that. No constant light, no blinking speed controll
