I also have the same phone
Well, I also have the same phone with Software Version -> LG-P500-V10r and Android Version 2.2.1 would this work on my phone...i tried it once but my baseband version was not compatible with it so i m a little bit worried that would it work or not.

Am I hallucinating or am I truly back like 2 years ago to being the proud owner of an Optimus One P500..?

[ Am I missing something or is this topic in the wrong forum?]
P. S. my P500 is still working, quite good and reliable phone, my 12 years old boy runs ics on it and use it like an ipod.. good ol' phone

[Q] LG P935 Best ROM?

So I just got this phone yesterday, I bought it used off of kijiji for $130 It is the LG Optimus 4G LTE P935, it was running stock ICS 4.04. I just finished the unbrick method and got it down to Gingerbread 2.3.6, and CWM installed! Now I am ready to install a ROM, which one is best. My other Phone is an HTC One X, running IceColdJelly 3.6 and it is fantastic fast and feature rich. Please advise.
Thanks in advance!
I'm looking for this same answers too. After read through on dev section and find Wind Kernel is the best one far. I need something stable for daily base using.

I recommend CM 10.1 stable and latest Wind Kernel.
if u want stability go with a stock based mod rom, there is a few nitrotnt, hono v20f bell, liquid nitro v20c, etc i use the hono one.

It depends on you what the best rom is. Stability, battery drain, modding etc. there are a lot varietys. I think ICS based roms have less battery drain but less modding posibilities like JellyBam or PAC rom. But the stability is not so well to this. And KronicSkillz is modding a lot ICS based roms. Its on you what you like.
I'm using cm10.1.2 with latest wind kernel . no problems so far . just try them all and see which one you like best .

Flashing Stock Android ROM

Hello,
I am a new android user, and would like to flash the LG Optimus Z Rom to my LG Optimus G. as I am new, I have no idea what I am doing... I tried following the directions on the Forum Post, but I got no-where, and since I am a new user to this forum, I am unable to post a reply to that thread.
Could someone please help me out? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Chase
Better leave the phone as it is. Start learning, then try.don't do this by ear or you may end up with a brick.flashing roms is not for newbies.even exeperienced users get unlucky and brick their phones.
So,gather info, search and be sure you know what you are doing and the risks involved.
Ps,what is lg optimus z?never heard of it.

The closest one would probably be the "G2 apps added E988 ROM (F240/E980)" found in Android Development Threads

[Q] Nitro HD (P930) / Optimus LTE (SU640) ROM compatibility?

Greetings to all
So I might be getting my hands on an Optimus LTE (model SU640) soon, but since development for it is not as active as AT&T's Nitro HD (P930), I want to know whether the ROMs for those 2 devices are universal.
Now, before some of you call it impossible, I have gone ahead and done some research on both Chinese and English websites:
1) LU6200 has a MSM8660 CPU, so ROMs are strictly not universal; but SU640 and P930 share the same APQ8064 CPU.
2) They even share the same baseband - I've read many examples where SU640 was flashed a P93x baseband and got better signal.
3) I've even seen an example where someone directly flashed a P930 ROM onto SU640, WiFi and rotation are broken at first, but after flashing a kernel from SU640, everything is said to be okay.
4) I heard there's a patch that converts P930 ROMs to SU640 ones.
5) P930 can also flash a SU640 ROM without much issue - I saw someone booted a stock SU640 ROM on a P930.
So can anyone share their ideas/experiences with flashing P930 ROMs onto SU640 (and vice versa)? Thanks in advance.

hi. have you had this figured out? I have lg su640 running stock jellybean v30d. I am a fan of cyanogenmod, upon checking, cm 10.1.3 us the latest available for su640 while p930 is receiving kitkat cm 11. I want kitkat on this phone. thanks.

[Q] Optimus UI - Removal?

Just saw the leaked screenshots of Android L on the LG G3. Really dissapointed in the fact that you can barely tell the difference since the home screen, again, is filled with all the LG theming like Optimus UI. I was just wondering, is it possible to install Android on the device without all that? Like, near stock Android. Same goes for KitKat, is it possible?
When the bump tool is released probably. Until then depending what variant you are on no.

If your only issue is the homescreen try a different launcher
If you want a new rom, well every rom has an how to install in the op but close to stock roms are tethered so you will have to load the kernel via fatboot every time you reboot (for now) but that should also be covered in the op's of the roms
