I'm also having the same problem. I don't have the Edit button, Anyone have an idea why? I'm completely stumped.
device details below

Android version
4.1.1
Baseband Version
N7105DXALIB
Kernel version
3.0.31-240505
Build Number

Could it be because you don't have enough apps installed to require the edit page?

That's what it should look like, edit button in the bottom left. I'm guessing you don't have that?

Thanks for the replies folks. Yes I don't have that portion in the bar where it indicates an Edit button

I am almost certain its because you don't have the need for it.
The edit screen won't show unless there are apps to be listed on it.
There are only 12 apps that samsung allow for multi-screen mode on stock roms.
Try to install something like the official twitter app, or chrome browser, or unfreeze any apps you have frozen (if you froze any).
It should then show.

I agree, the edit button has very little functionality. All it allows you to do is add or remove apps from the list. Can you reorder them by holding then dragging?

Thanks for the info. I'll try that out. I have a total of 13 apps on the multi task bar though. still no edit button. I guess if I find more apps that iss applicable. I'll post back my findings. Many thanks!

re
i can confirm that with 13 apps it works , but as a previous poster has said it seems to only offer you the choice to access the overflow of apps.
cheers pj

Don't want to hijack this thread but it's slightly related to what i need,
Does anyone know how to completely remove the Multitasking bar, not just to hide it or move it to the right, left,up or down, but completely remove it so that it's not showing anywhere on the screen ?
EDIT:
Never mind, found it, by holding the back button.
Didn't search well enough, sorry for wasting space here.

Just received an update on my phone today the edit button appeared. now i can properly hide the apps that i don't want on the multitask bar.

Is it possible to move the bar to right or bottom of screen?

Quick Launch lockscreen APK

Hi everyone.
I found a Lock Screen app on market https://play.google.com/store/apps/...=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5jb25kdWl0LmxvY2tlciJd and I would like to share with you, because in many countries this app is not available yet. Install like normal APK. Enjoy

Although this is obviously still in it's early development it looks very promising. You can swipe SMS notifications to non-stock apps. very clean looking theme is also nice. And I've just found that dragging the unlock cycle to the to of the screen will allow you to open up any of your most recent apps. Very good app considering it's not even released fully

I mean it works. Theres a config the developers for lock screen widget, etc need to put in for 4.0.4 rom compatibility. The dev for screen off and lock included it but the rest have not. All 4.0.4 roms, including my cm9 on my s2 require this.
It works but not correct, when push the button the screen turn off than short on and off again. On SGS 2 4.0.4 it works correct so I think it need a update for S3

The Go widget does not work and it switches on again and then goes into lock screen etc. Get a widget called SCREEN OFF from the market and it will work. I have it working. If useful; press Thanks

Same, Turn screen off, it turns self on and off. And google apps are no the reason. In first time of cm9 4.0.4 SGS II it was the same, after an update form the apps it works so i think the apps must be updatet for SGS III
Its the s3 lockscreen. Set yours to none to see lockscreen apps working. I switched to widget locker 2 minutes after getting the s3 so never encountered this

[Q] On screen buttons on OpenSEMC 0.5

Hi,
I got a question about enabling on screen buttons in OpenSEMC 0.5 running android 4.2.2, what is btw one of the best ROMS I've ever seen.
On AOKP 4.1.2 the option was integrated but the dev of this Rom haven't included it yet, so I need another way to get my loved on screen buttons.

App-Choose
OK,
I tried it and works fine.
But am I wrong or are the buttons bigger than on a Nexus 4 or Galaxy Nexus?
I think they are a little big too big
Another thing maybe somebody could help me with.
I have Google Now and Alicoid (like Siri but on Android) and with the latest version of Alicoid, you're able to put the App into I call it "long-home-button-press-menu" (idk how to call it. I'm German )
But in my case (idk if anybody else noticed that yet because Alicoid is not such a famous app) there is only a Search button (like in 1st Screenshot)
And after I selected that search-button the normal app-chose menu pops up (2nd screenshot) and let me choice between Gnow and Alicoid.
Maybe sb can say me if there is any possibility to get rid of this app-choser and to have both apps in the "long-home-button-press-menu".
I know my discription is a little cofusing put i hope somebody knows what i mean
Thanks!
EDIT: Screenshots added!

How do I change the lock screen shortcuts?

I just got this today. When I first turned it on it did a load of updates, went to 4.2.2, then multi-screen was disabled. I read that a wipe would fix that, so I did so.
Now on the lock screen there are 4 shortcuts for apps, I can't find anywhere under lockscreen in the settings where I can change them. There's no "lock screen options" button that I think only exists in 4.1.
How can I change the shortcuts? I googled and couldn't find anything.
Also the the "home screen mode" is totally gone from the list. And the initial tips you get when you first turn it on are gone too :/
Try this link. Sry for the prev post. I just saw u are on galaxy note 8.0. I was viewing the entire forum posts. http://androidwidgetcenter.com/android-tips/how-to-set-shortcuts-on-lock-screen-in-galaxy-note-8/

Ah, well, in that screen shot, I just found that with a google search to show where it was supposed to be. It's not there on mine as you can see from the original screen shot from my device. I'm pretty sure it was removed in 4.2, but I haven't found anywhere that explicitly says so. Every reference to it that I've found seems to be with 4.1

[Q] [Help Needed] How to flash my Note 3 to stock android

Hello everyone,
I just received my used Note 3 (T-Mobile) today that I bought from ebay, but when I turned it on I found that this phone has a custom rom installed.
As for the moment I don't want a custom rom and I want to use the stock software version on Note 3, can anyone please help me how can I do this???
Phone model is: SM-N900T
Android Version: 4.3
Build number: Darthstalker note 3 version 4
I live outside the USA and it would be nice even that when I flash to stock rom I will have my phone unlocked to use with my SIM cards here on my country.
I was searching a little online and here on the forums but I found that I couldn't flash to stock rom because of the 4.4.2 rom.
If anyone can help me, I will really appreciate it...
Thank You

Thnx phil,
Another question
I have successfully updated my Note 3 to stock 4.4.2 T-mobile but I haven't seen the new updates that comes with 4.4.2.
For example I don't see the camera icon on the home screen. Or I still have the tabs apps and widgets on the apps homepages.
Did I make anything wrong or I have to install any launcher or something else to make this other changes available.
I attached a screenshot to show you what I mean.
Thank You
P.s
I am sure that I did the update and I am running 4.4.2, at least this is what at the ABOUT DEVICE shows
I still have the tabbed app drawer, which is fine with me. As for the camera shortcut, try settings>device>lockscreen and make sure the setting is selected

I had secured the lock screen with pattern this is why I was not having this feature.
I changed it to swipe and everything is OK now.
As for the tabbed app drawer do you know how I can remove it??? I want to have only the app icons without the tabs showing.
Thnx again
