Zagg Invisible shield Original vs Invisible Shield HD - Galaxy S III Accessories

So what does everybody recommend? The original or the HD? The HD apparently makes the screen look better but it doesnt resist scratches as well as the original. And the HD ive also heard it gets orange after a week of use.

Waiting for the invisible shield for one x

does anyone know when will it release
It has been a week after one x is released.
i still have seen the one x is on the compatible product list of the invisible shield
anyone has any idea
email them
Haven't heard anything but is it needed? I dropped my Desire HD flat on a marble floor for instance and the scratches just wiped off, gorilla glass is fantastic, and with the One X it's Gorilla Glass 2 which I guess should be even better.
I too am waiting for a film-type protector rather than the normal screen protectors.
Phantomskinz
SGP
Best Skinz Ever
Invisible shield
Bodyguardz
Any of those should do.

There is no scratch-proof material. Over time a lot of hairline scratches develop on any surface, especially if you keep the phone in your pocket all the time like I do; and I hate my gear looking worn.
The wife's Wildfire S (which has Gorilla Glass) has a couple of scratches on the screen already, most of them not bad with the backlight on but one is clearly visible so I don't believe the hype of GG... My Desire has a full body InvisibleShield on from day one and still looks pristine under it; not to mention the skin provides a great grip on the phone surface which saved me many times from dropping the phone accidentally.
I'm definitely ordering a full body Shield once I pick up my One X. It's well worth a few quids to keep my stuff looking great.
Skinomi is selling one for the One X. It's also a film-type screen protector. I have one on my Jetstream and I think it's better than invisible shield. It has a lot smoother surface.

edit: when I try to buy it, it said out of stock :S

Invisible Shield HD by Zagg for HTC One X

I know that many people have been saying that they wouldn't be getting screen protectors. I, being very paranoid, had to get one to protect my screen. I had been using the phone without anything on the screen for a month, but still wanted a shield. I went to Best Buy yesterday, an purchased the shield, an it isn't like the others. The older invisible shields had a feel and look to them that you could tell it was there. This new Invisible Shield HD, however, is literally like nothing is there. The screen looks and feels the exact same as it did before I bought it, but is much stronger. So those of you that weren't planning on getting a screen protector, take a look at this Invisible Shield HD, you won't be dissapointed.

Pictures please, how's the fit does it cover the entire screen to the edge or does it leave a gap?
Thanks
I will post pictures when I get home, but the shield is pretty much invisible. It doesn't cover all of the black, but it gets the whole screen and some of the bezel.

Which one did you get? the regular or the case friendly?
There's more than one? I got the screen only one, I know there was also the full body one.
Sent from my HTC One X
The "case friendly" version is the Zagg HD. It also has other added benefits like being nearly invisible, thinner, and will zero orange peel effect. The other one is the regular Zagg, covering the full front of the device, but not made of the same glass like surface so it will feel rubbery and definitely be visible.

Its really hard to tell that it isn't edge to edge. If it gets dirty, then you can see a small bit of dust, but that can be fixed with a wipe.

Zagg HD is a Best Buy exclusive product. Also, the HD is so clear you have to be looking for the edge to find it. If it was edge to edge any case would pull up the sides.

Images attached. They aren't the greatest, but I don't really own a point and shoot. These are from my TF300.

Texture
I own a Zagg screen protector for my Asus transformer and I don't like the texture of it. But it isn't the Zagg "HD" protector. So does your screen protector feel abnormal to you?

My Zagg HD feels exactly like the plain screen did. It's made of a glass like material that is designed to give you the same feel of the screen and it works.

The feel on the HD one is much better than the feel on the regular one. I have the non-HD invisible shield on my Transformer TF300 and it is noticeable and has the odd texture that they usually have. I have the normal invisible shield on my Vivid, too and it is very noticeable there aswelll. The HD one is the same as not having one.

hey, so no rubbery texture like the oldwet apply zaggs? i hated the rubbery feeling and softness of their previous ones. if this wet apply or just dry? and any link to where they used glass to make this screen protector, that would be awesome, had great experience with the Glas series from SGP

It is put on wet, but it doesn't have the feel of the older Zagg shields. I never knew about the made of glass stuff, the box says its the same shield but thinner.

Suggestions for a case friendly screen protector?

Hey guys. I used Zagg on my Eco 3D and it was great, so when I upgraded to the S3 I got the Zagg HD protector and it worked well with the case I bought...now I got an extended battery and the zagg is not playing well with the case for it.
I need a new protector but one that won't go to the edges so I don't have a problem with the cases.
Surprisingly all I've found locally seems to cover the whole screen. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Note 2 and Screen Shield

Anyone know if a zagg HD shield would work with the s-pen? I am assuming the HD one would be better, the original is not as smooth as the HD.

Best screen protector?

I've been reading through trying to find reviews, but I only really found one: the review about the Zagg HD protectors and their inferior quality to the original. What cases are most of you using? I saw a few names mentioned here and there in comments, but I hope to consolidate that information here by having you mention what quality you like best with that brand. PS I ordered an Otterbox which comes with a screen protector--How is their protector (not gotten it yet)?

Hands down. Clear protector
Lol otterbox defender screen protector are a joke. Every built in screen protectors are a joke for that matter.. IMO. They take away so much screen quality it's not even funny. Or at least the ones i have experienced. my first case was ob defender, yanked the screen protector out, put on a regular screen protector. Best thing I could of done.

So what brand of screen protector should I buy? Should I just take a gamble and buy the Lloyd protector from Android Central? If so, HD or anti glare?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
I wound up buying the protectors from the T-Mobile store. I hated paying like 14$ for 2 protectors when i couldve gotten them for less but they actually worked out great with the Seidio Surface Case i'm using. The protector doesnt go fully edge to edge on the front, so it doesnt interfere with the seidio case when sliding in the top and bottom halves.
My girlfriend has a Zagg on her SII and although she loves it to death, I'm really not a fan. Opposites attract right?:victory:

Go for the hd imo. I just recently put on an antiglare and took it off with in 5 minutes, couldn't stand the washed out images. Looked great under light but in dark places screen quality looked blurred out. At least that was with the product i had. It was a cheap ebay screen protector
