what the ... - LG Nitro HD

I rooted many phones in my life, I never had problems rooting a phone like this peace of ****!! does any one out there give a much easier link to root this crap?? Im currently on the latest version ics , or is there a way to revert back to GB like most HTC phones do?

Follow the stickied unbricking guide to get back to GB. If you want to return to official ICS use the CWM flashable version.
...and was there really a need for the swearing?

Rooting a phone with a locked bootloader isn't stuff to any n00b. It requires following huge tutorials or aknowlege to do it on their own.
This isn't a samsung galaxy for example.

Can I not flash older firmware ?

Hi forum...
In the Sonyericsson X10 section, we have a flash util, so we can flash whatever firmware version we want...
Do something like that not exist for the desireHD ?

Thanks for your answer..
So there is no flashtool to use, in order to revert back to an older Rom like them we have available to our X10 phones ?
The x10 can be flashed with all kind of stock roms using a simple flashtool, and without any changes like Root and s-off things...
The tool probably act like Sonyericssons update service SEUS..
But to understand this correct, there is no way back at all for us who didn't think about it, and just updated to the latest firmware ?
I'm sorry for the questions, but many things is called something else, and looks completely different here at desire hd section, when I am used to the x10 terms...
So it is all a little confusing...

Take a look in the Android Development section of the DHD Forum and you will find all you need. You do need to get root and then RADIO S-OFF but there are two simple tools to achieve that. See HERE for the guide.
If u accepted the latest OTA and did not have radio S-OFF then there is no way back................at the moment.

these are the things need to allow your phone to accept any roms by flashing
those are like locks/obstacles for your phone u have to unlock all of it to be able to flash those roms but you will need to downgrade your firmware version if its any higher than 1.32 then root the phone using visionary and use the easy desire hd radio tool to do the s-off,radio-off,etc.
Check this thread, should explain it all.

You can use Odin to put CWM to ur phone, then flash Super user. All those files and step by step guideline is available as sticky notes in our forum.

Rooting on 4.0.4 UVLH1

Hey everyone!
I'm new to the forums and I'm super excited. I've been wanting to root my SII for over half a year and I've finally built the courage to do so. I've looked through the forums and I found Melvin's post on how to root.
My question is, can I root my SII when its in version 4.0.4 UVLH1 using Melvin's method? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311194)
Thanks!
Ken
Yes
I don't know from personal experience since I rooted with gingerbread but from reading I heard people having trouble with ics and melvins guide. Sooooo eliminate the doubt and just use this.

Its essentially the same thing. Flash CWM from Odin, then boot into CWM and flash superuser.
Something about superuser version...

There is a stickies in this forum that are fine.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529058
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26328017&postcount=123 <-- that is in a different sticky (less in depth instructions). Although with that you probably should download a more up to date recovery, but it would get you root with the old recovery.
That said...I recommend letting your friend do the work. That way he/she can learn, and if there is a problem, he/she can possibly fix it. Rather than being stuck without a device until you can get around to potentially fixing it. Especially if you plan on flashing custom ROMs and kernels.
