use a tool like advanced config. look there at the topic "today". You can switch between clock and battery
.... but it can mess up the taskbar display.

Hey, any way to make transparent status bar with CM9 ROM? I do a little searching but all I found is transparent status bar for stock ROM or the other ROM. Anyone can help?

you can use screen off and Lock from google play.

Please don't lie. There is already a SEMI-TRANSPARENT status bar mod.
Kindly search correctly.
HINT : - SEMI-TRANSPARENT means 50% transparency.
Don't know which ROM version you have, but basically i would advise you to raubkatze's thread:

Somewhere in the settings you can turn it off.
