[BOOTANIMATION] Animation from video source, my own and requests / 2012-10-23 - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

What this is:
Yet another thread for boot animations for people who are looking to get some custom stuff. I decided to create my own thread since I will be creating (from any source), ordering, naming, and testing my own images whether similar stuff exists or not.
Here I add a couple of my own boot animations, one I thought of myself, the other I got the idea from another thread request but I didn't feel like hijacking that same thread to publish my zip so I got the source and created the animation.
All of the boot animations are provided in a zip file flashable through recovery. They work for me and are only tested on my current device using TWRP. No other files are replaced but the bootanimation.zip or have their permissions modified, you can check the zip file yourself.
Help is provided if needed so please feel free to ask or help anyone else. I do have a life as anyone else and work so please be patient on feedback if required though I'll try my best to be around here. My only requirement: be respectful, we all needed to learn at some point. Please report any linking issues so I can fix it.
Disclaimer:
I am not responsible for any damage to your phone you know very well we're all here to experiment and learn. If you need help with flashing ROM's, radios, and / or security unlocking please use the search feature of the forum. There is plenty of documentation that can guide you through the process.
I do not take batches of images from anyone or any boot animation unless they are provided to me here on this thread as a request for an animation or a modification to a existing package. If such a thing is requested a source to the original author is needed. I like to extract the images myself from any source, most likely video, so 1. I am sure I kept the highest possible quality and 2. No one comes around here claiming I stole somebody's work. I do not own the source video material I may use so all credits go to their respective authors.
Hokuto no Ken Boot animation
Not too many people that I know have seen this show, even worse getting a boot animation based on it. This was my first attempt at a boot animation.

A fellow xda member requested a boot animation based on the original video for the animation. I worked on that eliminating the extra shots in the intro. This is the result, looks good enough for me.

(MOD) Knight Rider Boot Animation

Hi All,
First of all I would like to thank to this tread for the great update for our SGS
I was keep my eyes open in almost every day for the update on our SGS
and if this tread is in the wrong section / room please accept my apologize since I am a new here
This was inspired by my love to the knight rider movie ... and after several days searching everywhere I couldn't find the site or link which is related to this, so I am start to learn how to create the own boot animation
and after some trial and error I found the way to make it .. and this the result
okey ... now we move to the point
This boot animation is based to the knight rider movie 2008 (mustang shelby GT500R)
there is three different images and loop for the sequence.
and these bootanimation is rotated due to the source images orientation.
First sequence will shown the intro (looped 1 time)
the images is shown bellow

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
second one will shown the KITT attack mode transformation (looped twice)
the images is shown bellow
and the last sequence is just the KNIGHT RIDER wording (looped 3 times)
the images is shown bellow
to instal it is easy ;
- make sure your phone is root (I am sure most of the custom rom user will rooted by default)
- using root explorer (you can get this for free in the market)
- navigate to \system\media
- do a backup on the current bootanimation.zip (you can simply rename this file to another) just incase you not like mine so you can revert to the one that you already have
- afterwards paste the file to this directory
- do a reboot and see the KITT in action
if you need a custom bootanimation, I can make it for you
just give me the movie / images sequence and let me know your device type
note : make sure you rename the attached file first to bootanimation.zip
please give a try and hit me with your feedback

[BOOT ANIMATION] Earth Observations Videos for GNexus

Boot animations using time lapse video from the International Space Station. This is my first boot animation. I've tested it on two Gnexus phones, both running different versions of AOKP. But it should work on any rom.
Instructions:
This is NOT a flashable zip.
Download the animation zip file.
Rename to "bootanimation.zip"
Place in /data/local/
Reboot, and don't blame me if you break something

I plan on making more of these. Nasa has a lot of neat videos up and they seem to be updating them frequently.
(Note: I've also re-sized this for the Transformer 101 and posted here)

I haven't tried the boot animation yet but one of my favorite wallpapers...

can someone make it a zip
I've fixed the original animation so that it loops properly now. (Mental note for boot animation creators: Remember to delete the hidden thumbs.db file that windows creates or it stops your animation >.< )
Also I've added a new animation of the sunrise lighting up the earth. This one turned out quite nicely.

If there is sufficient interest I try to teach myself the art of flashable zips. I haven't yet made one, and it is quite easy to copy the files around using something like Root Explorer, but I agree flashable zips are easiest.

Just use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simproductions.bachanger&hl=en it allows you to install zip files directly.

You can easily do it yourself. Just find a flashable bootanimation.zip from this site, open it, delete that bootanimation.zip, and place in this bootanimation.zip. It's not rocket science . If you want to change the message that is displayed when flashing, open updater.script with a text editor like notepad++ (\META-INF\com\google\android\updater.script).

Bump! - Sign (unlock) your own boot images for LG G2 and more!

What is this?
This is Bump! A new and easy way to sign boot images for most modern LG phones so they'll boot on any locked phone.
Bump an image once, and flash it to however many phones you please.
How does this work?
Simply create an account on the site, click "Bump!", upload the boot/recovery images (also known incorrectly as 'kernels') and the service will automatically Bump them for you.
Is this project open source?
No, this project is not open source. We are however an "open" project, as we are all for transparency and user discussion. With that in mind, we'll be participating in user discussions and providing bugfixes and changelogs when possible.
Who made this?
Team Codefire, of course!
Bump would not be possible without the help and support of many people.
Please consider donating something to the people listed below to help them to continue to support your LG phone and to show your appreciation of all the hours they've put into this awesome unlock!
@thecubed - CLICK HERE to Donate - Project manager. Main hand in everything along the way.. from reversing the boot stack to website completion.
@IllegalArgument - CLICK HERE to Donate - Special thanks here, IllegalArgument really helped out and brought us across the finish line here. It's safe to say that we have the unlock today because of him - show him some love!
@autoprime - CLICK HERE to Donate - That'd be weird if I wrote something nice about myself here... :silly:
@Shelnutt2 - CLICK HERE to Donate - This guy nearly single-handedly wrote the entire Bump site in a few days. Lots of reversing work, super smart - another awesome member of the team!
@AnimatronicRocketReptile - CLICK HERE to Donate - Crypto help, thanks!
I'm just a user, do I need this?
Most likely not. If you're just flashing ROMs, this is a tool for developers only. There is no need to Bump ROMs yourself if you're not editing anything in the kernel, recovery, or ramdisk.
How do I know if something is Bump'd?
Look for the word "signed" or "bumped" in the filename. We will create a new section of the site soon that allows you to verify that a file is bumped soon enough.
Okay, I'm a developer, and I want this now!
Great! Go here and register, and Bump away!

Very cool! Well made first bootanimation I hope to see more!
I personally would do the font like 'bangothic MD', it's a little more hacky style but way to go!
Thanks for the tip will have a look if I ever improve this 1 and definitely going to make more after this, good way to waste some time
