i will release my new CM10 sooooooon~ :)

Does this need to be flashed ? Cwm doesnt Work for Me. Can I Use This As alternative?

Very nice recovery... the most annoying thing i faced with CwM was mount usb mode not working. now its working fine! thanks for your FINE work!! waiting for your CM10!

If you are getting bootloops then goto recovery and do a factory reset.
I hope this will resolve the issue.

If you are using ics or cm based roms, updating bootloader to v167 will remove ics engg version.

Hey, did you ever get this to work?
Edit- if anybody could help me out here it would be much appreciated. I've been trying to get cwm recovery to flash for some time now, but it doesn't seem to want to work. Rooting worked though. I'm on the dev ics rom. I just want some sort of custom recovery to work so I can flash a new rom haha.
Thanks

I use LU6200 and updated to stock 187 (newest), and root it. However after I install recovery, "ICS engineer version" appear again. I think that bootloader in recovery contain that words. Now we need to modify the file bootl.img or bootloader.img to remove it. But I cannot edit file .img in my computer. Anyone can help me?

Helo @sixline, I have rooted stock ICS AT&T
Can I use this recovery?
Have you try flash this recovery using Nandroid Manager from playstore?

Did you try the update yourself? I tried the official update, but it fails because it checks if you have the official recovery image. I have EOS CWM recovery, so it fails.
I thought about editing this script, but am not sure if all works..
Did it work for you?

Worked for me using EOS (CWM based) Recovery 6 (Touch) running Codename Android 3.1.1.
Thanx.
Just a quick question here, I am running 05p radio and my tablet seems fine with it. What would be the benefit of upgrading ? Thx
C'mon... You're not downgrade, there would be no reason to increase just numbers from Motorola so don't worry about...I even had 05 and upgraded to 07... Still have to taste all of its better work Btw I lost my 3G Internet connection LOL that's not 07P issue... Still had this problem after flashing EOS Everest 104

Yes, because you mentioned "ICS flash at your own risk".
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, that's why I asked about the bootloader. People who have OTA to JB are stuck. I'm on CM10 which is still the ICS bootloader if I'm not mistaken. Just want to clarify.

Oh yes... I see. Well, try it but search around first and make sure that no one has bricked trying to flash a JB ROM to ICS bootloader! It may or may not work. I honestly dont know.
There are way too many good things about JB not to update IMHO.

It means its truly rooted at the kernel level vs being rooted int he OS level. So if you need to push or pull files to /system you can do that with this ROM.

Guys, this is a STOCK ROM. Its IDENTICAL to what you would flash from the Asus update sans root and your typical root add ons like init.d and busybox.
This is not my custom ROM, CleanROM, this is pure stock base with true root.
So has anyone flashed this and then flashed back to CM10 successfully yet?
Well I answered my own question. Unfortunately this ROM would not boot from CM10 and CWM 5.5.0.4. I tried twice and never got past the Asus splash screen. It seemed to install fine and I let it sit for 10 min the first time and 15 the second time. I'm back on CM10 now and all is well. Too bad, I wanted to test this out.

You can indeed use the old firmware you already have, but the latest one would be better, since you're already gonna flash something, flash the latest one, yes which is AMD6. Make sure you have the same device model as in the firmware name before flashing with Odin though.

Nor is your remark. XDA would be a much more pleasant environment if people would tend to themselves. Here, matter of fact, I'll thank your worthless post seeing as that's the only possible reason you could have for interjecting yourself into a conversation that had zero to do with you. Was glad to see him around, he has said before he doesn't mind some general chit chat in his threads so I simply said glad to see him, wth does that have to do with you! I have looked over your posts here and you offer little, welcome to my growing ignore list, I will make XDA enjoyable again for myself, 1 ignore at a time.

God bless you!
It took two weeks to someone release this, a simple thing that makes a huge difference in our devices. Thanks a lot!
If you want so give me any tip how to do a job like yours, I would try to update the lighting kernel to work on lollipop.

That would mean building the LP kernel from sources. This is just stock kernel extracted from kernel.sin, and packed into a boot.img with TWRP recovery added.
If you want to make a custom kernel, go ahead. Just split the boot.img and swap the stock zImage with the custom one.
I won't be building custom kernels for this device. Sorry.

Audio Stuttering
Audio stuttering issues are there after flashing the recovery.
Using music application and viper4android.
Used viper4android before flashing the recovery ,no issues were there till than.
Please find a solution.
Thank You:fingers-crossed:

As stated in the op, I don't own the device so I can't replicate the issue. But kernel and ramdisk are pure stock, so I can't understand why the problem exists.

FLASHABLE ZIP
TWRP 2.8.7.0
You should just stay away from V4A, I tried it out during kitkat, and all it did was make the audio experience worse and crack the speaker and headphones.
Just installed this, fantastic, it works perfectly and I have a recovery again, for some reason android just deleted my last one two weeks ago.

I already have unlocked boot-loader as I already have TWRP installed. So, should I go ahead and flash this file? Will it be good for my mobile?
I am a bit scared as last time also I almost bricked my phone.

You'll be fine. Just make sure you are on 10.6.A.0.454 first.
