Ok beta testers... here is some candy.....
version 1.4 beta. there are some tweaks and changes still to do. also loads of theming.
as I promised here is IcePop Rom version 1.4 beta.
Rom File HERE
Framework fix HERE
Instructions... wipe data, cache, delvak and format system. then flash V1.4 beta and before rebooting flash the V1.4 Beta fix.
there are some system changes, still looks the same as v1.3 but theming is coming and some other major changes...
Please if you decide to test. post your gripes, and praises, plus any found bugs.

Im working some things out in the rom! should be fixed this monday-ish! what app are you installing, from the market I assume! and what message are you getting?

it happens with any app when installing, not updating. also it freezes, no message. after i force reboot the app is installed

Ok just tested on 1.4 and worked fine I'll post two files for you to paste into your phone in about an hour when I get home! That may fix your issue

ok flash this in recovery and see if it fixes anything. it contains two files, you may want to back them up. the files are ...
/system/app/SystemUI.apk
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
use root explorer and copy them to your sd card just in case, but it should work! it's the framework from the v1.4 beta. not finished tho, but should clear up your issue. also try going into system settings and manage apps, find play store and clear data.
flash instructions.... flash then fix permissions, reboot!!

This ROM is an evolution of the JellyBeer ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note. So, if you own a GNote, you can test also JellyBeer for it.
(The screens are for the Note 2 but they're just to give an idea of what the rom looks like)

Have you read the OP??
It tells you exactly what is in the rom, Its a CM10 Hybrid rom with custom DPI changer, UI modes and DPI groups... Just give it a try its a very good rom

The only things that I will add to this rom is certain cherry picks, but I may consider adding to second post some of the mods so you can flash them after rom...
What I'm after doing is just supplying the basic rom so you guys can add what you want to it because not everyones taste is the same and you will all want different things.
Just go to ap030993's PACman thread like he's just mentioned and try the mods from there

No its not... The pics are from note 2 ... It is 4.1.2.. You don't need any kernel.. It has a kernel of its own.. Wipe everything, format system and flash the ROM..

Its kali's fix version. So unless the gapps now have it in (not sure cus i always flash 4.2) it has more options and works better than the normal 4.1

Touchwiz features included, but some touchwiz apps have been removed. You can add them back though.

Help...when i installed the rom its saying system software bt AT&T has benn found on your phone

I had flashed the TMOBILE version originally - awesome ROM and great that we now have it here for ATT -
Couple of issues:
Contacts FCs - I found a flashable stock contacts that I flashed and that fixed it for me...
EMAIL (Exchange) didn't work for me - I had to install a stock version from another ROM by using ROOT Explorer and pushing the Sec Email and Exchange Email ap files to system/apps
Everything seems to be working good now -
Couple of things I have also done -
Installed NOTACH Exposed AP - lots of great options you can employ - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285074
Exposed framework is already installed on this rom so it is pretty easy to install
I also had found a flashable Status Icons File called "trueicon62fix.zip" - I don't recall where I found it - someone in the TMOBILE Threads mentioned it I think - anyway - if you did a google search for that file you probably will find it - it gives you icons in the status bar that look really cool with this rom.
Anyway - all in all it is an awesome rom - and I am sure this is just the beginning! Thaks for the Great ROM!

I downloaded them from a few downloads offered by Jamison904 in the TMOBILE development threads on his "Infamous" ROM -

But I would imagine you could also pull the Contacts file from any STOCK rom you already have and push it to System/APS with Root Explorer....any way - hope this helps - by the way you should thank Jamison904 for this ... his thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2264932

Hi,
I introduce to you my rom MIUI v3 2.4.13 based on Miui.us. This rom is very fast, beauty and stable.
Orginal thread on Polish forum.
About rom:
Code:
- Aroma installer,
- based on MIUI.us rom + added update to MIUI v3 2.4.13,
- languages: English, Polish, Chinese
- rom is odexed,
- 100% working notifications (trackpad and led pulse) like on stock rom,
- choose one from 2 best kernels for DZ,
- choose cache SWAP size (64, 96, 128 MB),
- added MiuiControl panel,
- APM,
- better memory managment and remove cache from memory every hour,
- tweeked build.prop (better data transfers) and others,
- 7 steps of volume when we speak on the phone,
- better scrolling,
- added Viper4androidFX for best sound quality on headphones ([COLOR="#FF0000"]Grant root privileges[/COLOR]), :E
- changed hosts file to block adds,
- changed gps configs,
- zipalign, sqlite, cleaning cache and dalvik scripts (working out once a week - after reboot),
- updated busybox,
- added new google play and flash palyer,
- removed bloatware,
- added coolos GB skin (to chose from themes),
- more in changelog.
Important informations
- backup your data before you install rom (because installer do full wipe)
- Installation time is about 4-5 minutes
- Desire Z HBOOT is required

At this moment, MIUI is foar away from KK...
Miui V5 4.3 just start being good on some new device.

MIUI v4 can be compared to SENSEI rom about speed. MIUI v3 is more multitasking friendly, but ICS build's are more smooth about UI experience.

Everyone checkout the quadrant score in this rom. Still loving this rom. Fully customizable.
Best thing in MIUI roms are the security part.
Firewall, acces control, guard and Superuser are the best.

Security for what permissions to be given to a particular app.
Apps can be password protected too.
All I want to say is people who want security and customization should definity try this out.

I doesn't have internet connection without wifi. Is this a bug? My girlfriend doesn't got message by whatsapp and she can't send from herself messages.. What is it?

I get perfect Data connection.
That shouldn't be a bug...
Wifi and data both are fine in this rom... Even watsapp works on both 2g and 3g(umts).
Checkout my screen shots, there is the watsapp notification, on 2g data network.
And ya as per some reviews, that the latest watsapp update was having some problems with nofications.
But I don't have so.
Have you checked your network connection settings.???
May be try reflashing, just wipe cache and dalvik.
Or else you'll have to flash your radio.

This is really fast and smooth and I'd stay on it for a while until a KitKat rom gets released but my Wifi on this rom is very slow when I try to load things. I know it wasn't my connection since everything else worked fine on my mac and such. I flashed CM10.1 back for a while but I might test this out again later on today to see if it was a random bug or something. Otherwise keep up the fantastic work

I was using mimicry 1.5 (4.0.4) but now i'll give a try to this one for a while :laugh:

Choose a radio which is meant for your region.
For me, I'm using wwe latest radio.

Nope no issue if you have a issue what ROM are you coming from. Flash a CM rom let data connect than try this one or a simple reboot. I was the tester for this rom

To all users in here, to include OP, please remember that work of another (any other) needs permission and credits. This includes kernel and source, as with any rom/kernel combination.
The kernel being alluded to above is not allowed here on XDA - Why? Search around to seek the answer, not going to use this thread here to relive that discussion.
ROM is ROM....kernel is kernel....just because a user is running a "forbidden on XDA" kernel, does not make the rom a bad thing.
Let's get back to the rom discussion. Shall we?

Just to clarify what Naddict stated, this ROM does NOT contain the kernel blurred out in the screen shots posted by another member. It contains standard CM kernel. Big thanks to @mitchellreece for quick action posting source.
