Jelly bean rolling out for sprint s3!!! - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Sprint First U.S. Wireless Carrier to offer Jelly Bean to Samsung Galaxy S III Customers,
Rollout Starts Today
Today, Sprint became the first U.S. wireless carrier to offer the Android™ 4.1.1, Jelly Bean, update to
its Samsung Galaxy S® III customers. The update began rolling out today and adds a host of new and
enhanced TouchWiz® features, offering a faster, richer and more responsive device experience.
The update is available as an over the air update. When your Galaxy S III is eligible for the update, it
will automatically download. Once the download is complete, you will be prompted to install the update.
Installation will take a few minutes, and your device will be disabled during the installation process. It will
be ready to use when the process is complete.
Jelly Bean offers users a smoother, faster and more fluid experience with expanded feature functionality,
including:
• Google Now™ gets you just the right information at just the right time, like how much traffic to
expect before you leave for work or when the next train will arrive as you're standing on the
platform. Google Now can be launched by pressing and holding the menu key from the home
screen.
• Expandable, actionable notifications allowing you to take action directly from the notifications
shade.
• Android Beam™ now lets you send photos and more.
• Widgets work like magic as you place widgets on the screen, everything else automatically
moves to make room; when they're too big, widgets resize on their own.
Samsung also added new capabilities to Galaxy S III, including:
• Camera Enhancements:
o New live camera and camcorder filters offer a range of new ways to spark your creativity.
Warm vintage, cold vintage, black and white, sepia, color highlights (blue, green, red/
yellow), and many more are selectable from the main camera screen.
o Pause and resume while recording video allows users to string together multiple captured
video clips from a party, birthday, or sporting event into a single file with no post editing
required.
o Low light photo mode takes advantage of Galaxy S III's best-in-class High Dynamic
Range (HDR) capabilities and offers an optimized mode for low light and indoor photos.
• Pop Up Play Update easily resizes or pauses the Pop Up Play picture-in-picture video window,
taking full advantage of Galaxy S III's powerful processor and large 4.8-inch display.
• Easy Mode is a simplified user experience option for first-time smartphone owners, providing
large home screen widgets that focus on the device essentials.
• Blocking Mode can disable incoming calls, notifications, alarms and LED indicators for a
designated period of time.
• Improved Usability with access to multiple keyboard options and the addition of the Swype®
keyboard.
With the Jelly Bean update, Galaxy S III will also add support for some exciting new accessories.
• AllShare® Cast Wireless Hub allows users to wirelessly mirror their phone screen to any HDTV or
HDMI® display. It even supports licensed content playback of premium TV and movies.
• NFC One Touch Pairing Support pairs Galaxy S III with supporting NFC Bluetooth® accessories
in a single touch.

[App Library] Most Unique Note Enhancing Apps

So I have been looking for new and cool apps that really compliment the Note II and I think that it's worth having a thread to have a list of the top apps to help with productivity, maximize use of the larger screen and overall get the most out of the Note II.
One that I've recently found and that is perfect for the Note II is 'Relaunch'. Screen shot below:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This app is super cool and allows for quick app changing in a new intuitive way. With the S Pen and big screen it's super useful.
Another good app is Floating Browser! Allows you to do something similar to Samsung's Pop up Browser, with full flash and content (more robust)

ROOT REQUIRED >>>
1. Download: Directory Bind (Use MicroSD for apps)
2. Download: GL to SD (Gameloft games to SD)
3. Download: GMD S Pen Control (Custom S Pen Gestures)
Let's get a good running list.
Just saving second post in case the list gets long.
There is also a floating terminal app. It costs a few dollars, but if you're a terminal junkie, that's probably worth it.
I think there's also a floating calculator.
What else do we want to see in floating windows? There's demo code available for that-- so hopefully we'll see more applications like that.
I recently discovered that the Pulse widgets, with the right homescreen app-- (with resizeable grid and the option to overlay widgets)
Make for a slick looking homescreen page devoted to news.
And of course, with an S-Pen, drawing apps like MagicMarker and Sketcher are invaluable.
Some people may find this split/floating keyboard useful :
There's also the WOW split browser, but since we have MultiWindow, its obsolete.
I thought I might have a few more suggestions, but that's really all I have for now.
GpcSOFT kicks so much ass.
Super Manager and Super Video are both really great apps.
And you can do much much more with Super Video.
If you use a wallet case or a flip cover, I found Intellicover - it allows you to turn off and on the screen just by opening and closing your screen. It can even disable the lockscreen on opening the screen.
Taskarou is another one that I've been using frequently.
I like LilyPad HD (Pop Up Floating Chat) on my Note.
It's a floating messenger client, which lets you chat with your Facebook, Google Talk or Windows Live Messenger contacts from anywhere in your phone.
been using swipepad on my previous phones, but i like the looks of relaunch. ill be trying that
Wave Launcher is my pick for launching apps, plus you can put widgets and have access to them no matter what you have on screen
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobilemerit.wavelauncher
Overscreen is my favorite floating browser, although I had to sideload it since the market doesn't want to play nice
Sketch-a-bit has been on every device I've owned that runs android, if you like drawing then just go download it, it's like it was made for the Note, even though it's from 2010
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.superfiretruck.sketchabit
I posted a couple really nice apps in another thread you should check out. One invokes the pop up browser, another let's you set up commands for the spen, and light manager to adjust stock led notifications. Links are in that thread.

The PR:

Support and feedback:
This is the first release - if problems arise, please contact us at [email protected] or through our website: http://fahrbot.co.uk/feedback.
And do offer suggestions for shapes and effects and whatever else you can think of
Issues and questions - please quote this post in your answer:
- If youre experiencing lag on the stock free themes, describe your environment (rom, launcher, undervolting of gpu etc)
- Would you be interested in testing out a special non-scrolling version of the app for this device? This would be optionsl - just a check-box that will disable offsets
- Any other issues you encounter
Lets see if we cant fix this damned thing!
I'm using BakedRom 4.2.1 - nova launcher prime - no undervolting or clocking anything, using AK purity v15, have set on 3 homescreens - and I do expirience, not just a little bit - but more like moderate lags when scrolling over screens ... Tried with "Tablet" homescreen animation and without it, but did not make much difference ...
ANd what happens when you disable the "scrolling lines" animation?

Still some lags, but less than before!
Try on galaxy nexus with xylon rom 17 e ak kernel dummy. effects are very beautiful but app seems too heavy for my system. daily user of UI screen become laggish.
anyway is good graphic work.
relieve system impact.
Thread closed till further notice. Sorry guys.

[THEME] Opulence - One-Click Downloadable Home-Screen

PrecieUX: Opulence is a one-click-applicable home screen decoration pack for BuzzLauncher users. Even if you have never used BuzzLauncher before, you can easily apply this beautiful home screen on your own device (whichever phone it may be) with a few clicks. If you do find it appealing, how-to-apply procedures are prepared for you at the bottom of this post.
Before moving on, please watch the teaser video I've prepared for you. I took time and care producing this video, so please watch in HD!
As the video read, certain privileges are available to only a number of special people. . . people like you. Opulence will bring the luxurious life-style that you deserve to your phone.
Ground up photoshopped matching pixel-to-pixel accuracy, tile-icons boast elegant details in even the phones with the highest resolution available in market today: Full HD (1920 x 1080). Designed and developed using Samsung's flagship Galaxy S4, Opulence is compatible with devices with other resolutions such as but not limited to HD (1280 x 720) or WVGA (800 x 480). Do not worry whether Opulence is going to look the same on your phone, because BuzzLauncher will automatically adjust layout and size of icons for your phone, whichever screen-size or resolution it may have.
Opulence is composed of 3 tabs: Main, Media and RSS. When you're in each of the three tabs, bottom of the tab you're in will glow to indicate the tab you're in. To switch to a certain tab, simply touch the tab you wish to switch to. Switching tab-to-tab is simply gorgeous: it feels like turning on a light-bulb by pressing on it.
The first tab of Opulence is "Main". Graceful widgets intuitively deliver to you information regarding date, time, your schedule, location and the weather. It has never been easier to see the important information so conveniently and so tastefully. Bottom third of the screen has short-cuts to the most necessary functions of your smartphone: downloading new applications, contacting your friends through social network services (folder containing short-cuts to different apps) and using your telephony services. The bottom dock is constant in all 3 tabs. Left tells you the percentage of battery you have left, and right tells you the time. Pressing the "Apps" icon will summon your phone's app-drawer that has all of your applications.
The second tab is your playground. It is worth a lot to live up to tight schedules, but sometimes you should enjoy good music or watch sensational movies. A big album-art of the album you're listening to decorates your second tab, so this tab will be automatically personalised to you individually according to the music you prefer. Without having to leave your home-screen, you can control your music player using the stylish control-icons already prepared for you. The Internet icon connects you to Google Chrome (but the short-cut can be directed to another application if you prefer another browser), and the Multimedia icon is a folder that contains apps most frequently used when listening to music or viewing your pictures and videos.
The third tab, as its name implies, has a gigantic RSS reader widget. Just pull out your phone from your pocket and unlock; the information you want to read will be updated and ready for you. (Press the bottom right corner of the RSS widget to add/remove RSS feeds). If the website you like does not support RSS, you can also choose to make bookmarks to your favorite websites and store them in the Bookmarks folder on the same screen.
To have PrecieUX: Opulence as your home-screen, please follow these steps:
* for convenience, you can choose to access http://www.bluepremium.co.kr/entry/PrecieUX-Opulence-Global. Then you can simply press on the following links.
1. Download and install BuzzLauncher by Buzzpia. Link: http://goo.gl/zSTxU
2. Access PrecieUX: Opulence homepack page: http://goo.gl/THRmS
3. Press "Download"
4. After applying Homepack, you can apply icons as you wish by downloading the icon pack for Opulence from the following link: http://bluepremium.co.kr/attachment/[email protected]
5. If you like Opulence, please take a minute to press the "like" button on Buzz Launcher. I've thoroughly explained the process in the following link.
http://bluepremium.co.kr/236. 1 minute you spare for me will mean a lot to me. Thank you.
Thank you, and enjoy your opulent life-style.
Thanx dude...
Btw, what about porting your leeche style theme also??
Looks very promising mate. Keep up the great work

Special delivery! As we head into the busiest time of year, Android is becoming even more helpful with new features that make it a joy to create, capture, relive, and share holiday memories — all while strengthening security and personalization. Let’s take a look at what’s new.
Keep your family on track this season with Family Bell
Choose which devices you’d like to hear your reminders on in settings
Family Bell helps you and your family stay on track with your daily schedules, wherever you may be. Whether you set up Family Bell on your Android phone, home speaker or smart display, bells and notifications will alert you and your family when it's time for important moments throughout the day — helping you get out the door in the morning, pick up your kids from sports practice or get to bed on schedule. Family members will also be able to set bells on their own devices so they can stay on top of their individual goals too.
For the holidays, suggested bells for new activities include watering a tree, a family movie night or volunteering to support a local cause. Family Bell is always easy to edit, manage and customize from your selected device.
Get more out of your favorite Google apps with widgets
Home screen displaying a photo of a mother and child from the Google Photos People and Pets widget
Widgets make it easier to view the content and information from your favorite Google apps on your Home screen — and we’ve got three new widgets for you to enjoy this holiday season:
Keep that holiday reading within easy reach, access your full library of books and even keep track of your audiobook progress with the new Google Play Books widget.
Enjoy your favorite holiday tunes with the new YouTube Music widget — it puts playback controls and recently played tracks right on your Home screen.
Feel closer to your family, friends, and favorite furballs. Starting to roll out next week, the new Google Photos People & Pets widget puts your family on your Home screen. Simply select a few faces and an appropriate frame, then the widget will do the rest, decorating your Home screen with your nearest and dearest.
Relive festive memories
Look back on great memories with Google Photos.
This week we’re rolling out new Memories in Google Photos that help you look back on the moments you celebrate. These Memories appear in your photo grid and feature a curated selection of photos and videos from holidays like New Year’s Eve or Halloween, to important milestones like birthdays and graduations. And because everyone has their own special traditions, specific controls allow you to rename, personalize, correct or even remove these Memories from your photo grid.
The best of Android, on the roadWhether you're driving home for the holidays or simply going to the store for some last-minute groceries, a suite of updates enhances just how helpful Android can be on the road.
Reply to messages in the car with a tap
You can now set Android Auto to launch automatically when you connect your Android phone to your compatible car to stay connected on every drive. And once you’re on the road, Android Auto helps you get things done so you can stay focused on the road. With smart reply options coming soon, you can respond to a text message more easily with the Google Assistant on Android Auto — simply tap to respond or create a custom message. And you can listen to your favorite music with a single tap of the new always-on play button, right on the Home screen. Coming soon, you’ll be able to use your voice to search for music faster in your media apps on Android Auto. Just tap the new search icon and say your favorite artist or song for easy listening.
Use your phone as a car key
We also continue to introduce new ways to bring your phone and car closer together. Starting today, you can use your Android phone to lock, unlock and even start your compatible car. Digital car key is now available in select countries on Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S21 for compatible BMW cars.
App permissions get a privacy boost
Get notified when app permissions are removed
Remember that mobile game you downloaded a few months ago? Probably not. With permissions auto-reset on Android, your device will automatically turn off runtime permissions—which allow apps to access data or take actions on your behalf—for downloaded apps you haven’t used in a while. You can always turn permissions back on anytime you like, either by opening the app again or through the settings menu. Starting next month, this feature expands support to billions more devices with Google Play services that run Android 6.0 or higher.
Share the love with new Emoji Kitchen combinations
Find the right combination that says how you really feel
Sometimes those end-of-year messages can have you lost for words—and one emoji doesn't always tell the full story. Emoji Kitchen lets you combine emoji into stickers to share with your friends, family, and loved ones. Celebrate the holidays by sharing your favorite emoji in a beautifully wrapped gift box . Or if you’re more of a dog person, make sure people know it with an all-new collection of furry friends . With thousands of new additions, Emoji Kitchen is the gift that keeps on giving and a great way to spread a little holiday cheer. The latest stickers are rolling out to Gboard Beta users starting today and will be available to all Gboard users in the coming weeks.
We can't wait for you to try out these new features while you celebrate the holidays. Learn more about each at Android.com.
