ADB - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

For some reason I can't get my note 2 to show up on ADB. I have sdk/platform-tools installed from google and tried with the google usb driver installed and uninstalled. I do have the Samsung drivers installed that I needed to root the device and that went very well using Odin. If anyone can give me ideas. Yes, Settings -> Developer options -> checked "ON" and then checked USB debugging is enabled.
I have been successful in getting all my Evos to show up in the past without too much effort so I feel really dumb asking.

Gotta install the Samsung Drivers. Use the toolkit to install if you don't wanna search for the file.

Thanks viper. I had Samsung drivers installed but guess wrong ones. Hard coming from htc and learning all this new Samsung stuff. Not regretting it though!

[SOLVED] Clean install...now what?

I did a clean install of windows 7, ad now I can't recognize ADB drivers or use ADB, what do I do...I DID google it already, but all it said was to reinstall drivers...but I have the unrevoked drivers on there and dont know if I should just reinstall them?
Thanks
Unreevoked drivers are for rooting
Don't you need the HTC sync drivers for adb

Did you reinstall Android SDK?

Yeah I reinstalled. Won't htc sync drivers remove root?
No. What phone do you have? Not 2nd guessing you, but it sounds like an issue with SDK setup.
sent from my Incredible using tapatalk pro
HTC Incredible, and I ran SDK intsaller and DL'd EVERYTHING that showed up.
I am rooted, running redemptive rEVOlution...could that be the issue that its based off the evo framework?
Did you place it on root of primary drive, if so check how it is named.(Spelling, caps, ect.) Also make sure you place it in path. I understand your frustration, but don't let it get to you. It makes small things easy to overlook. Any changes to the phone? Make sure you have usb debugging turned on.

What's your current setup? Are you rooted? What ROM are u running? Kernel? You might need to restore the file u deleted. Also, make sure Samsung drivers are installed on ur laptop, try using a different USB cable, different USB ports, etc.

Try holding the home button and hit task manager, from there try to see if you can get to the market or even a web browser and you need to download a new launcher like launcherpro or another helauncher

Did you uninstall Kies and the drivers? Kies can be a problem. Also, do you have sdk tools installed? It comes with drivers that work for sure. Let me find the link for drivers for you, it should work. What version of windows are you both running?

Are you guys making sure you are running the application as admin during install? Also make sure you are not sandboxing the install (ie certain virus scans, firewalls, and such). Some of them will sandbox by default which can cause problems.

Unable to install apps via side loading

I am on 4.0.4
I have enabled option to install apps from third party.
I have USB debugging set.
When I click on any apk, say in root explorer, it goes all the way until I come to install screen with install and cancel options.
It is registering all touches all over the screen. But for some reason, though enabled, and touch being registered, the install button isn't triggering app install.
Please help.

7.3.0 Driver issues...

I received the OTA update to 7.3.0, and it destroyed everything.
I did a factory reset, and tried to root with the same process I used before the update.
RootQemu tells me
"You must install your device speciffic drivers so that the device is visble to ADB"
In my pc's device manager, under "Kindle", it says "Android composite ADB interface"
I have deleted, downloaded and installed about a dozen different drivers, and have seen the "correct" Android composite adb interface in the device manager with about a third of them, however, no matter what,
RootQemu tells me:
"You must install your device specific drivers so that the device is visible to ADB'........
WHY?????????????????
Are you sure you still have adb turned on in settings....
I'm guessing you're making a mountain out of a mole hill and just neglected to re check that step

Yeah, ADB is on. I wish it was that simple.
Actually, it probably is something that simple.
Just can't figure it out.

Have you tried using ADB to do anything else, such as pushing a file to the sdcard?
