why do I get wifi flicker on off when I install yr rom ? It looks great but....tried wipes , dalvik cache wipe and different gapp files but no go. Can u pls help me ? I like the looks of the rom so far and besides I like TW.

i dunno man , i guess its problem with your handset , i have tried twice and i didnt get the flickering wifi , try reflashing clear all cache and factory reset

I assume jw4 would mean gingerbread; the reason is that it's been atleast 5 months since I last saw gingerbread on my phone so I've lost track of what's the lastest GB out there.
If that's the case, there's absolutely no comparison between GB and ICS...they are in absolutely different leagues...GB is like the fashion style of the 1980s....nice to remember about but uncool to wear...ICS is the "now"...ICS beats GB in almost all aspects be it battery life, phone performance, network signal, data connection etc etc....the only disadvantage whatever ICS roms, for the i9000, is that they don't have Samsung's ****wiz framework...albeit some roms claim to have it...At the end of the day, these are just pure ICS with a ****wiz skin on it...
So, the only loss, as I see it, is that you may not be able to get all samsung apps to work as you have it in GB...but who really wants their crap apps...when there are far better alternatives....
Have fun shifting to ICS...welcome to the present!

external sd card is not detected by the music player. Any one experiencing this problem.

go to cwm,format system partition(in mount settings) and then flash the paranoid android rom
should get you booting back(any mod done to system partition will be erased)
will look into the problem,but I warned to take a backup via cwm
I won't be home for couple of days,but when I get back will try to fix for all the roms asap

Please test these damn things before you put them out there... I just got done recovering from another (suppose to be) compatible mod, get my rom back the way I had it and your zip soft bricks my phone...... again!

Anybody get this working? Tried it out as well and get samsung boot loop. :/

For some reason, when I had tried to install this on a stock rom... I got stuck on Boot....
However, EvilArt and his Wicked v7 rom had this player built-in along with awesomebeats and it worked Fine... I have a Titanium Backup of the "Setup". I moved on to Wicked v7 to Frosty v11 from Dj and I restored the Walkman App and works like a champ...
So I dont know where the issue is when trying to install it ourselves vs it coming with someone's Rom... can someone answer that?

I want this.. but don't know if it'll cause me bootloop... is there no way to make a installable apk?

Make sure you beta test your ported apps before releasing. Even leaving safety precautions to make a backup, many don't want to go through the whole restoring process for no reason. This causes boot loops on many.

This ported Walkman was never tested on a Samsung Galaxy S3 T999 by the OP before starting this thread.
One of the moderators of this forum should remove this thread ASAP.
This ported walkman causes bootloops, I had to remove the battery to get to the recovery screen and restore my backed up nandroid.

I found another link for the walkman but it also installs a launcher ....this one kept me on a boot looploop other one worked fine

i'm always looking for music apps, so i'll give this a try. thanks!
EDIT: whoah that's a lot of files that this replaces. are all of them necessary for the music player to play music? I don't want to overwrite so many files unless it's absolutely necessary. i'm on JoshBeach's heavily themed rom and don't wanna lose things unnecessarily.

I've been on Clark's rom for a while now and I don't know if its the aroma or what but themes and some mods just won't work sometimes but i haven't tried this yet will wait after your experience hopefully you get your phone back up and running.

So is this separate from your work on acid sound mod?

not much is replaced,but lot of files is newly introduced for the sound mod and walkman

On AOKP, I have the same problem with it just going to a black screen after the Galaxy S3 screen. I've clean installed and everything.

on stock rooted jb and flashed this file... phone would not boot after.
always backup... i didn't ...

Does not boot after install. On rom JELLYBAM - v3.0.0. Phone stays on black screen. Always do a Nandroid backup if it fails.

Pros; totally improved stock rooted. Very loud and clear.
Cons : it screws up Bluetooth-phone mode. (when making a call you hear yourself in the speaker as you talk) it will work if you activate Speaker during Bluetooth call then deactivate speaker and it will work normal but u have too every call

What I got here is a working DSP Manager for 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Its a flashable zip that will add the correct files in system folder for the app to work
Note:This Zip Will Delete MusicFX.apk And Replaces It With DSPManager.apk

Title says it all, running Carbon on an AOSP ROM and the volume level sucks.
Wondering if I can use DSP manager to help boost speaker volume.

I can report, S4 internationale 4.3 aosp it works fine.

DSP is simply a EQ for your music, your gonna need some kind of kernel or ROM mod to tweak your volume level

It worked so fine, I didn't hear the music on my car with more quality using the Bluetooth before. :good:

whoaa @ElliSkyline i dono what you did there mate but my audio latency just went really low and its awesome. im ruunning catcalysm rom and flashed this along with it ! love your work man ! you rock

Disregard - it was baked in. I didn't even look, I'm used to just flashing DSP Manager with any new rom I try.

It does work on the new 4.3 slim ROM but not with double twist. I got great sound out of the stock Google music app but I hate the UI of it. I can't get Real Player to load so I can test it.
Has anyone got this to work on double twist?

I'm coming from @nelikp's BlackZax'7 & been using this rom for around 24 hours & appreciating the Dev for all the good work done for ION community. :good:
Wanted to give a small feedback, that will be useful for ur future versions of this rom:
* since this is Official Xperia S latest firmware port to ion all works great
* when downloading an app from store + multitasking, phone gets non-responsive/extremely slow, had to restart using vol + & power button (happened 2 times now)
* I really miss the restart option from BlackZax'7

Anyone know of a cybershot mod for ION JB?

hey buddy ... i was using this rom from 4-5 days and i notice that it just freez some times. and i had to restart it. even i didn't install any app or mod. i try to renistall rom 5-6 times but i am facing this problem again and again...
hop this be solved in your next update...

I heard the rizal lovins cybershot mod for the Z works on the ion, not really sure though.

I had the same issue. Cleared cache & dalvic cache in recovery mode & got rid of that.

Ever since I installed this rom I am getting problems with my sd card, now it would not work. DO not know If it is rom related just wanted to let you know. I get Blank sdcard even after formating it, with pc or phone. Removed sdcard etc errors.

try with other sdcard
maybe your current sdcard corrupt
